  • I love how the guy was like "HURRY THE FUCK UP AND GET HERE, I NEED BACKUP!!!"

and they're like "LET'S STAND AROUND AND EXAMINE THINGS FOR A FEW HOURS."

  • fallout new vegas gibson was found dead

  • (Laughs) Outstanding text based commentary, sir.

  • This game inspired L.A. Noire

  • 2:27 That pillar with some japanese stuff written on it, used to have "FUCK" written on the version I played.

  • DAMMIT, THEY KILLED GIBSON!

  • "OH SNAP!" lawl on the comment in the video. When I was a kid and my bro was playing it. The head ripped off messed me up....;__; I often imagined it was me there when the two people went past, thinking "I don't wanna die!!!"

  • T rated!

  • gibson's corpse used to scare the shit out of me... damn l love this game.

  • I cannot move! I am paralyzed with fear!!

  • Lol at the face when they discovered the time bomb.

  • i have fond memories of hunting this game down all over LA, no one carried it except the mom and pop shops so you had be an up to date gamer and know your places.

  • excellent job creation!

  • i hate that you have to look at the same piece of evidence like six different times in order to perform an action...

  • Wow that scream near the start made me jump a little LOL

  • Lil john!!! What! Yea!!!!

  • I appreciate these videos very much.

This is a game I always wanted to take a closer look at.

    So, thanks!

But reading in-game-text was a PITA, because you skip through it too fast.

Makes it impossible to watch the videos leisurely. I always have to click 'pause' and use rewind. Which is especially annoying at fullscreen, where the menu-bar constantly disappears after a moment.

    Ruined the enjoyment.

Guess I'll have to be glad you couldn't skip audio dialog?!

  • you know you can pause and play by clicking the video too.

  • Yeah, thanks.

I noticed, but it doesn't cling to my awareness. Probably because all my other video programs do not pause by clicking the screen.

I should best remember using the space key to pause. Swiftly mouse-clicking the screen to advance text slowly, may result in a double-click, which switches between fullscreen and windowed, instead of pausing.

But, yeah, it isn't CreatorOfBoredom's fault that my mind is too clumsy.

    Sorry for complaining.

  • really want it slower Ronack has this game too and seems like it is going at reading speed i think.

  • This is why it was Sega all the way for me back in the day. Couldn't get this kind of play from those Nintendo folks when it came to the gore factor, lol!

    >;-D

  • Ninty DID have good games but not enough violent ones I'll give you that =/ Hell they did censor MK when it came to the SNES. SEGA was the place to go back then when you wanted something over PG13 LOL

  • LOL lil john YEAH!!! WHAT!!!

  • Why would you program a robot to feel fear, especially one that assists with dangerous work like Snatcher hunting?

  • well.. fear is good for self-presurvation.

but It the case of dangerouse work? who knows?

  • "fear is good for self-presurvation."

    Not when it paralyzes you.

Robot with fear? - Ok, eventually it'll avoid getting in harms way.

Robot with *paralyzing* fear? - Only to be found in wannabe funny games and movies.

    Ridiculous.

  • I wasnt saying That The paralyzing bit was good. They asked why fear would be programmed into a robot, Not I repeat NOT why would it get paralyzed by it.

Also, It could be that they simply Over did it while trying to make it have a realistic personality.

Besides.. I did try to throw a "who knows" in there Because Even I felt it was a dumb idea, but wanted to throw in a plasuable idea.

    so there. =P

  • Yah...That's ok.

I just replied because this part in the game baffled me so much.

I could eventually think of various explanations for it. But regarding the whole setup, it's just ridiculous.

It is known that the number of murderous bioroids grows constantly.

The government knows of this threat and all they come up with are 5 people to counter it?

With the time it takes them to locate a single bioroid, new ones may show up.

Add to that an assisting robot with paralyzing fear = Ridiculous. XD

  • Well. When you think about it, The snatchers themselves are fairly Ridiculous.

I mean.. They ONLY Come out in the coldest months, in cold places, at night.

It Probably makes it fairly easy work to figure out who has been snatched..

But the government instead, still insists on Search warrents, (snatch warrents?)

    And all of five people.

    =P

  • better relations also fear can help you make better descisions bleieve it or not

  • Damn, I wasnt expecting that on a Sega cd game lol

  • Haha, yeah. This game was one of

the few M-rated games on the system.

Too bad they toned the gore down

a lot in the PS1 version, though...

  • @CreatorOfBoredom You should try and get your hand son the Japanese version. According to many sources, the gore has been toned down since that version too. Although, there were multiple releases, so i am not too sure which one was to be considered the "best". Don't worry about it being in Japanese, just choose the same options you did in this game. But I think the Jap. version was longer and had a different ending. I can't remember much anymore, it's been a long time...

  • @CreatorOfBoredom Actually, it's rated T.

  • @CreatorOfBoredom how much is it

  • Didn't know that, I'll make sure to try it. :)

  • I'm just glad you didn't hear

the scream when it was in it original state,

I had my volume at 100%, lol.

I'm just starting to record the 5th part, btw. :D

  • R.I.P. Jean Jack Gibson, you will be

remembered as a guy that we didn't know

too much about, because of the lack of

backstory that the makers gave you.

(Wow, what a douche I am sometimes...)

  • @CreatorOfBoredom

Check the prequel radio theater. JJG is the protagonist in it
