  • It's ironic when you illegally copy a DVD, and this message is on the pirate copy xD

It's like, fat deal of good the message does, lol...

  • this music was pirated from a techno concert

  • I'm on Utorrent right not.

  • Good ol' British wit.

  • I can skip the ad by pressing the Home button on my remote :D

  • Haha this is funny! Thanks!

  • The best thing about Pirate DVDs is that there are no annoying adverts against Pirate DVDs.

  • You have to wonder how many people watched that advert, on a dvd they stole from a shop, in a stolen car, on a stolen dvdplayer rigged up to a stolen portable TV, while eating sweets out of the handbag they stole

  • if I could download a car I sure as fuck would

  • I dont get it this is only retail dvds not on the pirated

and if you see the film in cinemas or on tv the ad is also gone so we pirates wont get any of this

    How stupid are they

  • LOL

  • You wouldn't download a car

  • Ironic that they're showing this to people who've bougtht the genuine disk. If anyone should be watching this 'message' it should be the people who downloaded it for free. And yet they'll be the ones who don't have to watch it. Another classic example of companies who are helping to make the torrented version of their product better than the real thing. If they want to sell the real thing, they have to learn that they have to make it more attractive to buy the real thing.

  • The difference between stealing a physical DVD from a store and downloading a file is that a file is essentially binary digits arranged in a certain order, were they re-arranged that file would no longer be the "stolen" movie.

  • Love ;D

  • Great video

  • This would be alot better way to prevent piracy

    Piracy = multiplying

    multiplying = sex

    sex = HIV

    HIV = Aids

    Aids = Dead

    still wanna pirate ?

  • @TutNuke a sex pirate ? :-o

  • YOU WOULDN'T DOWNLOAD A BEAR.

  • @Etherouge I WOULD IF I COULD.

  • I bet no thief would steal a car if that car had this annoying trailer before you could drive...

  • This song is a complete rip-off of an old Prodigy song called "No Man Army".

    How ironic.

  • @pikachize The music is so awesome that along with the images of people committing crimes,I want to go out and do it!

  • LOLLLLLLL Funny as fuck!!

    My...

    Remote...

    Is frozen...

    LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • You wouldnt steal a car? , you wouldnt steal a tv ? you wouldnt steal a movie? ... however only if their was a device to make an exact replica of a car and tv...

  • I download movies to AVOID this advert.

  • Why would you want to skip it??

  • @MosquitoBull When you've seen it fity times, why would you NOT want to?

  • THANK GOD FOR THE PIRATEBAY !!!!!!!!!!!

i live right across from one of the biggest movietheathers in belgium litterally 100 meters away haha and i NEVER EVER go to pay money to watch a movie .. i either sneak in or i just download the movie .. shit i mean ive got better things to spend my money on then a movie.. and btw WHO BUYS PIRATED MOVIES?i just download the movies from piratebay and then put them on dvd myself..ive just downloaded harry potter deathly hallows haha(fo my little sis);-)!

  • sadly its so true that when you buy LEGAL items, the consumer gets screwed over by stuff such as this. just like software where a patch/keygen etc can allow access many times over , yet if you buy the content with your hard earned cash you are atually restricted to how many times you activate it and the company will even say sorry thats our policy lol

so to me, if you give over your hard earned cash you are infact treated more like a criminal than if you downloaded a pirate dversion

  • ARG I HATE THESE ADVERTS SO MUCH! I've never bought pirated DVD's before but will start just because I hate these adverts that much!

  • Brilliant, I totally think this everytime I see it on a DVD. It's like they punish us for buying legal DVDs.

  • You wouldn't steal a car! Well it's more like "you wouldn't magically duplicate a car exactly then drive off in a carbon copy of said car" which, er, actually yeah that'd be pretty awesome. Downloading being theft is ridiculous, that's like saying downloading porn is rape.

  • i'll download this trailer with downloadhelper embedded in my firefox

  • I went to Video Easy and I rented 5 movies. They all fucked up at one point or another.

  • who the fuck buys pirated dvds!?!

  • Just download movies from internet and burn them on blank DVDs.

Trust me, it's so much better.

No trailers, no stupid menus, no shitty regional encoding, etc.

    And it's for free!

  • It's kinda hilarious to think about it. They are telling legit customers not to pirate. Hello? I just bought this crap. lol

  • Avatar inception, the dark knight, all have broken records in the cinema, what are these assholes complaining about . You make quality we will watch it at the movies.

  • i love how it is on pirate dvds lol :L

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA FUNNY AS FUCK.

THE QUEEN DOWNLOADS GRANNY PORN ALL THE TIME.

  • THIS.

  • no need to even download, just watch streamed stuff :)

  • @SmokedYou Uh.... that's still downloading.

  • @SmokedYou when you stream you are technically downloading it matey.

It gets downloaded and played from your temp files =P

  • @dedbult WHAT. D8

NOOOO TEH HAS MADE ME A PIRATE AGAINST ME WILL! I BE WRITIN TO TEH INTARRRRRNET ABOOT THIS, MARK ME WARRRRRDS!

But when do the temp files go away? And do they just come in one at a time (that would explain the pauses in long things!) or is that my fail internet?

  • @emilyrln Basically its downloaded bit by bit and pieced together in the media player/browser you use to stream it. And the stopping in it is just because your connection cant download as quick as the video can play =p.

  • bloody saying that the celebs wont get the bloody money bloody hell ... saving starving people or getting more plastic sergery

  • This is hi-freakin'-larious. And yeah, I'm absolutely in agreement! Oh, excuse me, I'm "down with it." (Sorry, I was showing my age for a second there...) ~_^

  • pure win advert. Should be on the dvds

  • I wouldn't buy pirate DVDs or games, because i can download them and burn them myself HA!

  • YES! YES! I've waiting AGES for someone to do something like this!

  • Haha I wanna go to China and buy me a crap load of their pirated DVDs that are sold on the streets.

BTW wouldn't it be ironic if I found this commercial on a pirated DVD?

  • lol

  • A couple years ago I actually bought a DVD for once and it had that stupid fucking advert at the beginning. I vowed from that moment on to never buy another DVD again. Way to alienate the people who actually tried to play ball and get a movie legally, you blithering retards!

  • The irony is that these ads encouraged me to pirate

  • this makes me sooo want to go on piratebay right now

  • haaaaaahah

  • well done man

  • Awsome and I agree fully with the vid (except buying the pirate copy of course) lol

  • Would never have happened if you had pirated the video in the first place... ;P

  • last post

  • Lol that is brilliant

  • Haha nice one

  • i love the original advertisement of this it makes me lmao when i watch it on a pirated movie

  • @finsher2008 if i ever sell pirate dvds i'll put the original advert on them for a joke

  • Annoying pile of shite that trailer is!

  • I absolutely detest the real version of this. I often copy the DVD then use the copy just to remove it.

  • Brilliant :D

  • L-O-L! XD

  • That's a fucking good point!! :)

  • LOL!

  • Haha,

    Great!

    Love it, nice one!

  • nice

  • Does anyone know what font is used in these anti piracy movies?

  • E' un errore di marketing pazzesco, che anche un bambino capirebbe: hanno sbagliato target. Come se facessero pubblicità contro il consumo di alcol ai terapisti...

  • I hardly say that buying a pirate movie is the same as stealing a car or a TV.

  • @apgporno exactly, it's more close to being counterfeit.

  • The Irony of this Ad is that only those legitimately buying the dvd will see it. Those it relate to don't see it. They would have better luck posting a trailer stating, You have bought a legit DVD - well done!

  • in that original ad it says "you wouldnt steal a car" how do they know?? if i walked past a ferrari with the open and the keys in, then im taking that mofo, as for not stealing a phone, depends if hes one of those "i work in sales and shout about" if its a nice iphone-s, then maybe, i just think they really presume too much,we're in a recession

  • they put this ad on legit dvds, no wonder it isnt effective

  • i love when this is on the start of a pirate dvd and you get to fast forward right over it

  • Lol bloody top

  • In most countries it's legal to download films as long as you don't upload any, so if you use a torrent you can't upload any (seed it) but you can download it, obviously you can't sell it as that's classes as sharing it...

  • Anyone else pirate this ad to put on their Ipod?

  • Too Right, That advert that you made is fab. Five stars

  • when you steal something off a shop shelf, there's one less physical copy of it- that in theory would have been sold, so you have taken money from them in a sense

When you download something off the internet, because it's purely digital data, there are no less copies of it, you haven't stopped a sale- You're not paying for packaging and also you are using your own bandwith to DL (and in many cases to share with another member)

  • @EchelonWeb Actually you are stopping a sale, if you didn't download it, you would have to buy it yourself, so there would be a sale. If you wouldn't buy it anyway then you'd have to live with it to not have the movie, that's only fair. If you download it instead, you're taking advantage of the people who make the movie. Apart from that, you are also creating unfairness towards other people who did buy it.

You create unfairness and take advantage, so don't act like you do nothing wrong.

  • @1FRAG1B

Avatar made 2.7 BILLION U.S. dollars, PURELY from Theatrical viewings, and then the public are made to wait X amount of months for the privilege of 'owning' a DRM infested copy . Even in 2010, 6.7 million Blu-Ray copies of Avatar were sold.

Is the price they charge for a Blu-ray fair, considering they already grossed $2,7 billion??, when it costs $1.59 to manufacture, ( even @ tiny volume of 25,000 ).. that's over 1,000% markup..Is that fair? Who is taking advantage of who?

  • @EchelonWeb You are taking advantage of them. They aren't forcing you to buy it, they're only offering it. If you don't like the price they decide, then don't buy it. And that counts for the whole film industry.

No matter what price you put on a product you made, it's never unfair, as long as you don't force anyone to buy it.

Then there are also smaller-project movies, who don't make such a big success as films like Avatar, and they do need those profits to get out of their own costs.

  • @1FRAG1B By the way, I wasn't arguing morality of purchasing or not purchasing content, I was on about usage of the word 'Steal' applied in a technological context, IE digital goods, in comparison to it's traditionally accepted definition inna physical world...anyway Life's not fair, and all that jazz, we'll be dead in what 60-70 yrs or less, personally I couldn't care that much about it, If you do, that's fine.. I have no right or desire to change your mind or anyone else..

  • @EchelonWeb Here's a simple definition of 'to steal': "To take (the property of another) without right or permission." Which is exactly what you are doing. No matter if that is physical or digital.

You say life's not fair, and seem to use that as a reason to make it even more unfair. Matter of fact, it should be a reason to try to make it less unfair.

"I couldn't care that much about it", that's easy to say if you are not the victim but the offender. The filmmakers do care about it.

  • @1FRAG1B When the film makers advertise a movie like its the best movie ever created and you spend 8-12 euro to go watch a movie that turns out to be a fucking waste of time AND money I am the fucking victim not your poor movie makers so think before deffending them.

  • @ScarletAssasin Did they force you to go watch the movie and spend 8-12 euros on it? Nope. You know it's a risk when you go watch a movie, and you took that risk. You're no victim.

  • @1FRAG1B did you even read the whole reply? i dont think so... but ofc compaired to you i am not a victim you are...to your own stupidity.I dont go to the cinema to take a risk i am going to have fun,and you know whats even better? They took a risk when they made an endless series of stupid movies and they lost, finaly ppl voted their own pockets and turned to piracy CAUSE THEY CAN! PIRACY IS AWSOME!

  • @ScarletAssasin If you accuse someone of not reading everything you said, then atleast say what they missed, otherwise your accusation is worthless.

By insulting me you won't prove any of your points and you only make yourself look weak, as if you have no valid arguments so you just insult.

Your intention of going to the cinema is to have fun, but you know there's a risk it's a bad movie, intention or not. Nobody's forcing you to take that risk.

Once again I see no valid arguments from you.

  • @1FRAG1B Ok....what you missed is that they try to fool me into believing that their movie actually is worth something by false advertisment,i know advertisments were always like this but it is still wrong in my book.So i say oh they got me into paying to watch their sucky movie so i wont take that risk anymore,i will go pirate! They hit me with false advertising i hit back with piracy, in the end i win -i save money- right or wrong?I really dont care, they are wellcome to try and catch me.

  • @ScarletAssasin Their advertisements are subjective, they don't lie about facts. If they would say a movie of 2 hours is 3 hours, then they would lie and scam you. But they only give opinions that apparently don't match yours. Just because it doesn't match with your opinion doesn't mean it's false, so you're wrong about that.

And they don't "got you into" paying for their movie, you choose that yourself. If you can't control what you do then you should try to find professional help.

  • @1FRAG1B Dude...your situation is hopeless, you obviusly are either a movie producer or from another palnet i hope thts the last i read of you goodbye.

  • @ScarletAssasin Very typical situation, you don't have any good arguments so you just start to insult and assuming things that you can't know for sure. You make yourself look very weak by that cause it means you have no valid arguments.

And since you're interested, I'm not a movie producer and I don't work in the filming industry in general, I'm still a student and I say piracy is unjust simply cause it is like that, and I gave enough arguments to prove that.

  • @EchelonWeb well, you haven't stopped a sale, but you have stopped a percentage of a sale. Suppose you watch 10 illegal movies a month. If piracy wasn't possible, you'd probably legally rent movies. Probably not 10 a month, but maybe 5 a month. So, in a sense, when you watch 2 pirate movies, you are stopping the sale you'd have probably done if piracy didn't exist.

  • @fedetrim Yeah but at least I wouldnt buy most of thing I choose to pirate, and often if I like that product I may buy something else from those who made it.

  • @fedetrim, except there's mainly two types of people who pirate stuff. There's people who want to preview something, and they buy it if they like it, and there's people who wouldn't buy stuff even if they couldn't pirate it, either due to being too poor or being cheapskates.

  • @geekymarianne well, I'm sure that what you say is valid wherever you live, but in my country (Argentina), unfortunately around 90% of the people watch pirate movies. But not because we are too poor or cheapskates, but because it's our culture. Average argentinian think he is being clever by pirating movies instead of paying for them. I hate this country.

  • win

  • If I could copy someone's car and keep it for myself I sure as hell would! =)

  • bless

  • Comment removed

  • good point. thats why you can just download it for free and watch it:). and then if you want you can put it on a disc and sell it to summit stupid asshole who has no clue on how to download.

  • spot on, why the fuck would they harass people with this advert.. when they clearly aren't resorting to DVD piracy.

  • BEST EVER

  • £7.50 is what i had to pay to see a shit movie and be bombared with crap adverts like this.

    piracy rules

  • If stealing a car would be as easy as stealing a movie, I probably would. You can't download a car =P

  • haa yeah this fucking trailer is pretty annoying is i had the person who came up with the idea of putting dis shyt in my movies i would shove the entire dvd and case up his ass and tie his hands so he cant take it out see how he likes it

  • @jorc94

*I* WANTED TO SAY THAT! 8-))

  • This is exactly why I don' t buy DVD's. Forcing someone to watch some useless advertisement sucks.

  • this trailer should be on all pirate dvds , like the Smoking kills ad on cigaret boxes.

  • The thing is pirate dvds are made to get rid of this, and to get it free/lower cost. It's for convenience and you can't just ask pirates to add this or to stop pirating.

  • nahh! thats stupid. because ther is nothing wrong with both of them. well of course smoking is bad for you. but unless you are smoking a public place, which your not alowed, youronly really harming yourself.

  • I find it ironic that i feel like resorting to piracy in an attempt to not have to sit through all the anti-piracy adverts.

  • If they make DVD's €5, en there are no annoying trailers in the beginning, I would buy much more DVD's.

  • The entertainment industry must understand that ads, trailers, DRMs, and anything that piss off legitimate consumers is NOT THE THING TO DO!

  • hahaha, i wouldnt steal a car, no i wouldn't because someone would get hurt, no-ones getting hurt downloading a film, which i wouldnt buy in the shop anyway.

  • @t0mz2k9 When you steal something its gone when you download something you make an copy of it its like giving everyone free cars

  • lol my remote is frozen

  • Reasons to download movies or buy pirate dvds, doesn't include this annoying advert. xD

  • Yes, that is the point of this video. Well done.

  • HA HA HA HA!!! I can skip it! I'M MAGIC!!!

  • if you BUY a pirate dvd, technically you're not STEALING ;-D

  • Selling pirated DVD's/etc. is when it becomes illegal...but yea your right, whats so funny about these shitty vids is that piracy/filesharing isnt even stealing lol...literally no one is losing something...unless you count the "could have had" as a lost.

  • bahahahahaha's that is awesome....

  • Great video man. I find it funny that only legitimate DVDs have Piracy ads on it. It's also funny that it's telling people the different ways in which they can pirate stuff.

Pirate DVDs should have anti-piracy videos :D

  • This is the best parody of all of them.

  • this is fantastic XD

  • I HATE the piracy ad. I HATE how you can't skip it.

Though occasionally they have them on dvd's with a language select before them, and if you choose the first option it skips it.

Seriously, they're annoying the people who don't buy pirated movies with that stupid ad, which is just going to inspire them to get pirated ones just to get away from the damn ad!

  • pirated dvds are like ninja powers, there the only way to go

  • lol pirate dvds dont have any ads or somtimes not credits (Source: my friends dvd collection)

  • Comment removed

  • I am a pirate, arrrrrg!

But I mostly download stuff that sold helluva lot in the industry. Or if it just extremely rare or not supported anymore.

Tell me, people, would it hurt if I were to steal some awesome, famous songs from 60's, 70's and 80's? That kind of songs sold over millions!

  • Exactly!, that's what these big companies don't take into account.

Thanks to programs like Limewire and Frostwire, and the P2P community in general.

You can get songs that are now so rare, that getting hold of them "legally" is nearly impossible, if at all.

A lot of mixes of tracks are only released in other countries too, like Japan or China, but what if a guy in UK or America is a massive fan of the artist/s and wants to hear that version?...

  • Well, all I can say is, save money, and be patient about it. Nothing like that won't hurt, or anything...

  • bravissimo! lol

  • He he so true, those ads are stupid

  • This is awesome! Also, if those studios are serious about anti-piracy (rather than extortion), they should stop Region Coding. Why fuck isn't THIS illegal?! It's clearly price discrimination and violation of fair use.

  • like movie directors and fucking stuck up hollywood agencies make enough revenue... they dont need that money... honestly... 1/10 people pirate shit. its not hurting them. i blame the jews.

  • Fuckin 'Ay! Absolutely FANTASTIC piece of work! That trailer is annoying to me too as i just want to watch the movie i bought as fast as i can!

  • Hahah! Nice. They have that dumb trailer in America as well. Maybe if half the movies they put out didn't cost so much there wouldn't be so much piracy. :/

  • someone had to do it :P

  • Those adverts crack me up big time ! 'You wouldn't stamp on a babys's head, so why would you pirate a DVD? It's the same thing' LOL!! Ok, slight exaggeration but still!

  • Is it just me, or would you kill people for the kind of download speed that girls getting?

  • It's not just you.

  • Comment removed

  • No. Killing is bad.

  • VenemousFatal1ty provides a very valid and educated argument.

PIRACY FTW!(besides it is possibly beneficial. The corporations should stop being such greedy bastards anyway).

  • get them

    from google video!

  • They're right tho, I wouldn't steal that clapped out old Merc... or the T610 from circa 2002...

  • Paying to pirate pffft, I hear people actually do that.

  • ackshully, it probably will

  • Brilliant, I love it!

  • This is brilliant! I love it!

  • I'd steal a handbag ;)

  • got 250 GB of films and counting woop

  • Fuck the MPAA/RIAA

  • i already skip the extra garbage on dvds

  • TOTAL BANDWIDTH USED THIS SESSION: 24.4GB hahaha FUCK THE ANTI-PIRACY CAMPAIGN

  • These ads are extremely irritating. I buy my movies legitimately and I'm forced to watch videos telling me to buy movies legitimately. It's ridiculous.

At least VLC Media Player lets us watch DVDs without all this crap - it skips straight to the menu! :D

  • no mater what they do there will always be pirated stuff

  • is the music in this advert an actual song?

or is it just yknow .. random music.

cause i kinda like it lol :D:D

  • This is so annoying! Even in a different language I have to view this!

  • This commercial is the time I usually go to the bathroom before the movie.

  • Yeah! Pirated movies won't be having ads and stuff.

  • Well actually I never bought an original movie myself. I watch it in a cinema or I download it cause it is too much to pay $20-50 for a movie I'l watch hour and a half. I know piracy is illegal and shit, but I'm forced to use it cause I cant afford the originals.

  • tbh, I just like stealing.

  • LOL fair enough

  • If they lower the price so everyone can afford it/think it's worth the money, there will be less piracy.
