Coming from the mouth of an experienced musician, one challenged by and hell-bent with the insurmountable quest of finding the perfect tone for every note in every song I write or hear, i must say that this is most definately thee missing link to "the Pretender" and it is a shame that it couldn't have been part of the original studio recording. I hope to see you on the grammys alongside Dave Grohl!!! you rock bro

thanks. You play really close to the bridge, speed up the bow and add some wide vibrato... always effective. I should give it a name, too !

as far as I know, the gypsy fiddle players call them "ghost tones".
