I still use it too but Its just not helping me set it up as good as could be. I have always used my eye to judge the motions in the same way as the old stop-motion animators did but now I want to see what I can do with more technological stuff like the onion skinning, the adjustable frame rate, even get another effects maker like I used to have. It will also give me a little edge over other animators in my school and classes.
@MegaKingzilla well now I use a better editting software for stuff like that(sony vegas movie studio) but when I had that issue I would put the first layer of sound first with the video then save that as a movie then put the saved movie into WMM and put that on the timeline leaving you with the video plus sound effects and another open audio timeline for the second layer.
@trexstudios "monkey jam" is free , you do the photos on a hd camera then make it a stop-motion then put into a editing program. But you cant save the avi file larger than around 640p' or the program will not respond.
Nice puppet, but it needs more work on the muscles and a thicker neck.

I think it is time to upgrade from windows movie maker to something that can really record stop motion twice as well. What do you guys think?
