  • i tried the boss rv5 it just wasnt any gud,but this omg it was the one im putting on my rig!

  • @slashpraiseYOUR RIGHT, this is not an analog delay pedal. But as far as analog delays being used on more studio recordings? With the advent of digital recording softwear I doubt that's true especially in home studios and smaller studios! Having said that, analog techniques are still being used and even incorporated in the most modern recording studios!

  • One of my favorite pedals

  • It sounds so nice but you are using a Fender Reverb amp. Hard to tell how much is the pedal.

  • Did I hear Richard Hell?

  • what is the diference between liveliness and decay?

  • @mewsic156 liveliness adds treble, decay is the length of the effect

  • How can I make this pedal sound like and endless reverb chain preatty much as the alesis nanoverb. With a delay pedal?

  • I just got one of these on sale for $49 bucks!!! LEXICON reverbs people it does not ge any better!! The Hardwire series rules. I have had several Digitech boxes I have no problems with them yet I hate little Boss crap.

  • Not sure if I should get this or a Holy Grail...I just need a decent reverb for my solid state amp. What do you think?

  • get this theres so much more and i find it way better sounding

  • @Rambo29 I think this pedal is much better than the Holy Grail.

  • @coolcustomer31 I think so too beacuse it has a reverse mode..and oh boy...I love reverse modes.

  • what if you compared this to an actual lexicon rack reverb unit. would it come close?

  • Can you get the signal 100% wet? So you won't hear the original guitar and just the reverb?

  • @VirtualAve did someone tell you? Id like to know this as well.

  • @VirtualAve you can, but only in reverse mode.

  • Great pedal but I think the Boss RV-5 is a touch better.

  • is this pedal brown or red?! on the pictures online it looks kinda brown but in some videos it looks red haha

  • @NelsonRezek red, I tried one at the store, and it is quite nice, I must say.

  • red

  • For the people who are hung up on analog, plate reverbs or whatever, this pedal does a great job and it's pretty inexpensive. Live, it's as good as you'll ever need. Which is what it's designed for. Better than any spring-loaded tank I've ever used.

  • I use this reverb unit onstage with my Marshall 1974X and I fucking love it to death. Those Lexicon reverbs are so smooth and just right; gorgeous complex tweakable reverb. I'd take it over a stand alone reverb any day. It holds it's own against ANY spring loaded tank ala Fender period. This is coming from a former former Fender blackface reverb junkie. Had a Marshall Reflector; the Hardwire is far superior in every way. I've recorded with it as well with awesome results. Great pedal.

  • does this sound good with distortion? i had a boss rv5 and really hated it because it sounded terrible with distortion. Heard a lot of good things about this pedal, is this pedal way better?

  • I got 1 question. Im not very experienced at amps, pedals and that... So im asking if playing Metal, is reverb needed? I got ENGL Blackmore tube amp and has no reverbt on amp. Plus im going to start using Hardwire TL-2. So you tell me, will i need an extra reverb pedal?

  • not for metal you wont. try a chorus metal zone and maybe a delay

  • You'll need reverb for the clean parts though.

  • Wait, you've got an Engl Blackmore and you're going to run a distortion pedal into it?! I use a Fireball and my gain never goes past 12... couldn't imagine why you'd need any more from an Engl!

To answer your question though, I'm in a death metal band, and also do acoustic music, I can tell you that a reverb is very nice for metal, depending of course on the lead tone you need, or clean tone that is, either way a reverb is great for metal imo.

  • DO NOT GET A METAL ZONE. I'd also say that yes, reverb is needed.

  • was that zelda?

  • It is hard to tell on the difference between the reverb presets cept the reverse and spring setting. It sounds way better and much more noticable if you try it in person. It is an outstanding pedal and I wish to purchase this pedal soon...

  • Jason Becker at 2:00?

  • O_o ...do you know what you're talking about? Hard-Wire isn't an independent company name, it's the serie's name (just as the X-series), hard-wire is just the technology behind the pedal. Perhaps you should visit the Digitech web-site and do your own research before talking. Lastly, Analog reverbs are used more commonly than Lexicon reverbs in studios for the last decades. And this pedal is NOT an analog reverb but a digitized emulation cabinet processor, if it were it'd be plenty more money :)

  • if you could tho, give me a link to show me what you've said is true... here's my evidence:

    digitech...

    .com/

    ... products/Hardwire/HW_StereoReverb.php

-without all the periods of course lol

  • ...did i hear In the Aeroplane Over the Sea at 0:23 ?

  • This is really hard to tell... It would be better if you played the same song all throughout, so we can tell the difference easier.

  • hey ToneFactor, what is the song at 2:35?

  • Pull me Under by Dream Theater

  • Heard Stray Cats in there.

    Hahah

  • woooaahhhh! the reverse is trippy!

  • if i only connect the input 1 (mono), the outputs 1 and 2 are activated, or only the output 1 is activated?

that pedal sounds really good, but i need a stereo output whit a mono input.....

    thanks....

  • is this better of the electro harmonix reverb family? (i mean, holy, holier or holiest grail). i.e.: i really appreciate the reverse and gated modes, so can anyone tell me if it's better this or the holier grail?

  • what do you think? there is nothing special about electro harmonix holy grail or any of the grails.

  • Nice Dream Theater reference!

  • man, that sounds GOOOD !!!!

  • This sounds like a really good pedal... how would one compare it to the boss RV5 reverb?

  • The Boss RV-5 has a wider Hallrange.

I have both so i`ve compared it very often.

    Both sounds very well.

The RV-7 semms to be more professional in view of the Reverbs. They are anyhow clocklike.

  • Yeah, these are very well made and sound great. They have true bypass switching as well. The Hardwire series is the best thing Digitech has ever put out, IMO.

  • is this a good reverb pedal to get. im not to fond of digitech and I want to know if its a high quality pedal and not a "toy" pedal. thanx

  • Love the dream theatre riff at the middle of this video. I think it was called "pull me under".

  • True bypass?

  • yup, and in stereo
