Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Bush invaded Iraq causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Bush moved troops from Afghanistan (where the 9/11 terrorists were trained and sheltered by the taliban) and put them in Iraq, thereby diverting precious resources from catching Bin Laden and others responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Even Cheney has admitted Iraq had nothing to do with the attacks.
Iraq was about much more than 09/11 frog. I was about more than WMD. It was a master chess move by Bush that was mismanaged to a degree, but still was a brillian long term strategic move. No other POTUS in the last 20 years save for Reagan would have had the gravitas to do what Bush did. I have some serious disagreements with the man on domestic policy front, but no with his approach to fighting terror.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Bush invaded Iraq causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Bush moved troops from Afghanistan (where the 9/11 terrorists were trained and sheltered by the taliban) and put them in Iraq, thereby diverting precious resources from catching Bin Laden and others responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Even Cheney has admitted Iraq had nothing to do with the attacks.

No other POTUS in the last 20 years save for Reagan would have had the gravitas to do what Bush did. Our massive domestic spending on worthless bail outs, TARPS, Porkulus bills, and so on dwarf spending on Iraq and Afghanistan combined. Last year Army Chief of Staff General Casey warned that the military was deploying at unsustainable rates, and was in danger of crossing a red line beyond which it would take a generation to rebuild. what government does this to it's own people. don't blame the west. this government restricts freedom, criminalizes people for sexual and ideological expression, forces restrictive dress codes on its citizens and does not allow people to choose or follow their own religious path.
