@timmff - Shouldn't you be able to mod that on really, really easily? Just add a switch on the left and right that turn on either A or B independently (the center switch would become a master on/off)
@timmff - It's no problem, man. ^_^ I've been doing a lot of research this past year for doing a MASSIVE amount of experimental upgrades to a very inexpensive guitar I bought a couple of years ago (it feels very solid and looks pretty sweet- something like a digital camouflage, if you can imagine it). I've already started with the first two steps by adding some off-brand 18:1 locking tuners and strap lock on the bottom strap button. (Check out the tremolo this guy is using: /watch?v=VFPvhl-fIb4)
I tell you i have been playing for 10 years and i have never heard of a pedal like this. It's true botique quality. I play it threw a fender twin 65 reissue-Am fat strat with the eric clapton midboost and its amazing. I have tried lots of distortion and this blows them out of the water. saying it doesn't have enough gain is like not understanding the difference between a overdrive, distortion and an od/distortion pedal there is a diff idiots..... good luck everyone with your quest I am done.

i really wanted to like red witch, but Im very disappointed with this pedal..I have yet to hear or play a better distortion then the GreenHouse FX No Brainer...
Great sounding pedal. a good mod would be swapping out the alchemy switch with an expression pedal. I like the single volume knob, but I just can't see myself bendin over in the middle of a tune...
I think the pedal sounds great, and I would pick one up today if it had a seperate foor switch for Gain B, and a volume pot for the second gain stage, to act as a boost for solos.
Many of the these pedals are for tone junkies. For people who spend $250+ on a pedal it about what they hear not what the people in the crowd here. I have a 3 channel amp, but there are some of my songs live that need a different tone. I don't have time to go back and change my amp setting in the middle of a set. A different push from an overdrive pedal comes in handy. Besides who want to have all the same pedals they sell at GC. it that's the case by a line 6 with effects and be done with it.
@machinegunguitar gee, you should like teach guitar school or something because you are so wise, so so wise. obviously what you say we all should do because youre so wise.
I don't know what you mean by "Pro". Zakk Wylde is a "Pro" and his overdrive pedal is cheap. I'm not trying to fight with anybody. My overdrive pedal cost me $300.00. (Keely Lynch Time Machine point to point ) I'm just saying it's about what you like and what you are willing to spend to get that sound that you hear in your ear. Pro Guitar Shop caters to people with money in there pockets. Tone junkies that really don't shop at Guitar Center. Plus Andy can play his ass off !
i dont get the point all of these expensive distortion pedals, they vary only slightly in tone and you can get the same sounds from cheap pedals and a good amp

Oh I see now. I get your point now that you've said it. You guys are trying to sell the things! lmao. So other ppl are like your enemy then in a way, because when others buy it at other places you don't get the money. I wouldn't want others going to a differant place to buy something when i'm selling the same thing, so yea I totally know where your comeing from. Sorry I said that It was rather foolish of me.
Same 'ere, kinda thin.. But the idea is great though! I presume the blend is in parallel? To the same gain stage or two separate ones? Should sound like a dual amp setup then I guess.. The Hi-def works pretty well, maybe if this were done with a good Mosfet distortion :)
Would this be a good pedal for a metal player?

there should be foot controls to select which gain. ie A. A+B B. would make useful
