What pile of shit do you ride then? I had a 2008 Ski doo Rev (went through 3 motors), a 2005 Polaris 800(2 cranks, and 1 top end) and guess what I ended up keeping? A 2003 Yamaha RX-1, and a 2009 Apex. Why? Because they are a better sled.

I have seen my part of yamahas "reliability" in 2008. clutch explode, 4phazer engine break downs. I would not buy a yamaha phazer sled for if it was the only sled in the world. e-tec have ruled outboard boat engines for years now. snowmobiles are next.

07 Attak GT and 01 SRX 700 and absolutley no problems with either of them. No complaints with the suspension and the engines are absolutley flawless.

But Doos on the other hand nuthin but mechanical problems the whole time.

You can't tell me otherwise because i've ridden doos and I know what there like constantley adjusting this and fixing that and fuckin around with the things,(Not to say there not a light and comfortable sled) to me that is not fun I like my sleds to be solid.

have you seen rider review at powersportsnetwork. non of the big brands have lower ratings than yamaha. bad stock performance I think. nytro is the first nice 4stroke from yamaha. but they need to make a nytro with turbo. aftermarket sucks. no engine warranty, less reliability than stock turbo, bad fuel economy. arctic cat z1 turbo is a better deal for most peopel. good stock performance with warranty. my old friend use to race srx 700. the chaincase in that sled is crap. easy to break chains..

I know what I see. he broke 2 chains and the chaincase in one race. it is not good for snowcross where you jump and hit the ground with hi track speed. now he only race lynx sleds. he got 2 in norwegian snowcross this year. even the srx clutch is bad. one reason is, for the type of stuff i do , yamaha isnt up to it, infact, no new sleds are really up to it, im a vintage snowmobiler.

i use sleds for work more than everyday driving.

personally, the new yamahas are probably good sleds, but, there not up to what i would use them for.

your probably a trail rider. and a yamaha is more than good enough for that.

i dont ride public trails much.

I would actually prefer a 1972 Ski-Doo Nordic 640ER over a new bearcat.

it was all torque, had a smoke lighter, radio, electic start and reverse, and somewhat of a two up seat mockup.

im not a big fan of any new sleds.
