  • is this your first ever commentary?

  • i love both games to be honest. i don't care about how people feel about it, i like the commentary in MLB 2k10 and i like some other aspects where i like mlb 10 for the graphics and realism.

  • Want to here a Joke... MLB 2k10

  • i like the show because not only does it look like an actaul game it feels like your in the game

  • MLB 2k10 > MLB 10 The Slow

  • @DontrelleRoosevelt "MLB 2k10 > MLB 10 the Show"

I thought this was an April fools joke until i saw it was posted a month ago. Then I just felt sorry for you.

  • @jsj222 I don't feel sorry for myself, that's for sure! Last year, I enjoyed 2K10 a helluva lot more. This year, I play both about evenly, thanks to the addition of analog controls in The Show. The game was worthless prior to adding them, aside from being something pretty to look at here and there.

  • If you have a video comparison of the game modes can you please send me the link?

  • Two things they need to fix in MLB 11. One is the throw meter. Accuracy and strength should be separate. If I throw strong to home from the outfield it is never accurate. When am I going to throw accurate to home? should be like a free-throw meter in a bball game, just quicker and based on attributes. Also add swing stick 4 hitting!

  • The show has great graphics :) But that's the only thing I find better then 2K10 I'm a graphics whore so I'll probably get a PS3 for Christmas, and buy The Show of course :)

  • THE SHOW ALWAYS

  • i think the show has better graphics

  • Is rtp on the ps2 version of mlb 10 the show also?

  • For those that are asking:

The Show is the real deal with great game player and killer life like graphics.

MLB 2K is more arcade like with a lot of flashing lights. It has some good graphics in areas but the players are as generic as they come. The game is also loaded with reoccuring glitches. For XBOX owners it's their only choice. If you must have a baseball game and get this game I suggest you pay no more than $20 to $25 for it period.

  • TALK LOUDER!

  • To be hoest I hate 2K its not baesball its just a cheesy game. The Show is way more realistic and is the only reason I still have a PS2

  • Does 2k10 for wii have real time?

  • i can't decied witch one should i get

  • The Show

  • @AirborneRain u should get mlb the show,, it is way better i used to have 2k10 and i hated

  • @yoyosotomayor I owned both and played MLB 2k10 far more. To each his own.

  • @AirborneRain the show in my opinion but ur the one gettin the game

  • How do you pitch good in MLB 10 The Show? I always struggle, trying to get the pitches good, but between gravity and velocity i always seem to get either a generous call, a ball, or a down the middle pitch, which is usually drilled for a line drive or homerun, especially when im in late innings.

  • @CombatMTv3 You really have to vary your pitches (both type and location) to keep the batter guessing. You have to be willing to throw some balls to set up your strike pitches. I am going to be posting a dual commentary I did with another guy giving pitching tips for this game soon on Machinima Sports channel here on youtube. Stay Tuned

  • @nadasfan alright, is there any way to get it how it is in the All Star games? For some reason when i play the all star games, there is no velocity meter and where i want the pitch is where its thrown, instead of gravity etc.

  • @CombatMTv3 Know what your pitches do. Dont put a curveball too far down because it will end up in the dirt. Also, try to pitch in the hitter's blue areas, or his cold zone.

  • @OurLastNamesRhyme How do i find the "cold zone?"

  • @CombatMTv3 Press select and look for the blue spots in the strike zone or simply turn HOT ZONE or something like that on so you can see the hot and cold zones on the strike zone as you play.

  • @OurLastNamesRhyme Well i have Hot Zone on, they always hit it though, my games are either really good or really bad :/ Some days i get like 4 hit complete game shutouts and other times i give up like 5 or 7 runs and lose or barely win.

  • @CombatMTv3 Well thats good because the game does that on purpose. I mean it makes it where you wont throw 4 hit CG shutouts every game. But it might also be just a different pitcher with different pitches. For example, i have created pitchers who are like 99 overall. Sometimes they throw CG's, sometimes i have to take them out in the 5th inning. So really just pitch in the cold zones, listen to your catcher, and know where to throw certain pitches to make a good pitch.

  • mlb 2k10 SUCKS 1 player faces don't look anything like them 2 the commentary is shit 3 the game play is crap mlb 2001 is better i just hate mlb 2k10!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @dalionsfan101 That would be the show. It just feels more like a game of baseball. Although both are fun, 2K feels more like a videogame, and the Show feels more like a baseball game.

  • great video , im thinkin ill buy 2k10 tho , cuz ive play the show my whole life so i think ill do 2k

  • not comparable show of course

  • nah the show is shhhyt compared to mlb 2k10 lol i just got 2k10 n its preetty ggood

  • @strike3yurgood Wow... it's a good thing you don't do reviews... you'd be leading people astray all day long... 2k10 can't compare to the show.. once again. The only reason anyone should play that game is because they don't own a playstation!

  • lol at the captions

"kind of feel this sort of partisan frailing us"

  • lmAO at the captions!

"We're talking about a hundred-page of weapons tickets"

"Well, we can't show you the pictures, leader"

    "We felt the skaters up"

"Finally, Miss Clinton's aide said, 'Thank you'"

....and is 'bagram' even a word? My God, it was like reading a poor Japanese translation, like one of those 'Don't shit on the floor' signs on a bathroom or something..... I almost pissed myself laughing, though. I wish I could quote every one of those lines, because they were freakin' hilarious

  • did mlb 09 the show have rtp 2??

  • @dportillo25 no actually It didn't. It was cutscene heavy. This did a nice job and is still the default presentation in 10, but now you have the choice to go either way.

  • Dude, I like your vid, I like your commentary and you get extra points for being non-biased and pointing out that both games are solid this year. I hope that 2K11 and The Show 11 come out and both bring their big bats to the field.

  • @IcedEarthaholic you had me... till you said "both games are solid this year"... LOL.. I just can't get over 2k10's generic graphics... I mean they are terrible... I will give 'em props for commentary though... it was very, very good. Other than that... I can't find one good thing about that game!

  • @jawz78 I could easily say this about the Show, while it's solid, the game itself was just not that fun. I got bored stiff during matches, and actually kinda dreaded playing further. Whereas with 2K10, once I got the hang of things with the pitching and batting interface, I had a blast. Sure, the crowd looked like ass in 2K10, but damn, the game itself is alot of fun, and for me personally, alot more fun than The Show.

  • @IcedEarthaholic You're probably more of a fan of arcade style baseball games, like the old school baseball games for the genesis and nes and shit like that.We can all say technically The Show blows 2k10 out of the water but fun is about preference. I like the realism of the show.On the preference topic I always get ppl telling me Uncharted 2's the greatest game ever. And while it's technically astonishing I had a greater time playing assassin's creed 2.Which just happens to be the best game ever

  • @pizzy333 Wow, I'm impressed that you didn't jump on me for having a different opinion on baseball games. **LOL** And yes, old school baseball games on the Genesis were a blast, Saturn as well. I agree about Assassin's Creed 2 as well, great game it is, am glad I got it for 30 bucks. It has plenty of humour to back it up to boot. Especially the "outlet" joke when Ezio meets Da Vinci for the first time, I was cracking up big time.

  • the show is WAY better

  • i like 2k10 better fuck button pushing

  • mlb 2k10 have a bad graphy and the show look more real in this one

  • I still don't understand how hard it is to just enjoy BOTH games for what they are.

  • @nadasfan Same thing im saying i have both & i love them both .

  • i would have to say visually the show does hit a homerun but one day i walked into blockbuster to rent a movie for my nephew and heard a ballgame playing and i thought that there was an actual game playing when i heard the announcers and then I thought wait its too late for a game(10:00p.m.) and its sunday so wth? i asked the people who were working there and they said that it was mlb 2k9, i was shocked, the announcers are really good compared to the same repeats of the show.

  • The show!

  • To be perfectly honest both games are great in their own ways. The only reason I like The Show more is because of...well... THE SHOW! ha. Thats the only reason I like it more.

  • there both good games but they shouldnt even have 2k10 for the ps3 because the show is way better

  • 2k is 2 easy i notice a lot of cry babes like easy 2k games 2k is shit

  • @ShadoowKira666 U're precisely right. 2K will NEVER b better cause the developers r fuckin' retards. I hope they burn in hell for making such shitful games. Seriously some1 should develop a nuke bomb & shove it up thier asses & detonate it

  • @AStarfox14 You should burn in Hell.

  • @DontrelleRoosevelt Y should I because The Show's the best? *sighs* I CARE 150% 4 The Show & that's the truth. Believe me i have a ps3 & The Show is challening yes but in mlb 2k10 it's a lot easier 2 get called up 2 the majors in my player mode than in rtts so y don't u back the fuck off & pester someelse because ur comment is so stupid it makes Mr. Herriman from F.H.I.F. look like Pai from TMM

  • @AStarfox14 It wouldn't be a bad idea for you to learn some English there, buddy.

  • If you guys want to have a good laugh, turn on the captions and then click on translate captions (beta) the translation isn't even close, but it had me rolling on the floor!

  • Hilarious shit. It mentioned weapons, Clinton, and "Bush hopes to break through defense". WTF.lol.

  • HAHA. I see this is great. Im dying. LOL

  • @nadasfan I know partway through it got into politics.

  • @nadasfan yea the caption's also added Bush in it. I was like lol!!!!! Bush has nothing to do with this I'm still laughing at the other words. I also noticed that in the end it said" six seven eight years old. Those captions made my day

  • The Show is The Better All Away Around

  • 2k10 is awful. MLB The show as real as you can get. 2k10 is like playing a bad arcade game.

  • obviously the shows graphics are 100X better than 2k, but i think with 2ks presentation, pitching and hitting mechanics, and the addition of my player mode 2k takes it this year.

  • e show and so is pitching

  • Do u guys liike not see the difference?? 2k is a whole lot better

  • wow are you blind

  • Andrei46Kostitsyn (1 day ago) Show Hide

Pause at 1:58. Now go to 1:45. The difference is ridiculous. MLB 10 is better in my opinion.

    lmao it's true.

when you pause an go back an compare, mlb show pisses all over 2k10 but i only have a 360 * cry*

  • i notice there no pop flys in 2k10 unless otherwise

  • good vid!!!!!

  • ahem the rays were only lucky in 2008...they still suck

  • both games look really good, but since being a 360 owner I have no choice but to choose 2k , I am excited for this years game since last year was a total bust.

  • Really cool vid man :)

  • nice job

  • I had both the show 09 and 2k9 and honestly the show is far more better then 2k, 2k there were a lot of glitches, i had no problems with the show. I plan on getting the show soon.

  • that was 2k9 though

  • @dodgerman16- this has nothing to do with last years games

  • @dodgerman16 I would say that the gap between games is not as great this year. In my opinion The show is better, but 2K is at least playable and somewhat enjoyable this year.

  • 2:02 in MLB 2k10, it looks like the fans in the outfield seats suddenly "pop-out" into place....Clearly The show is the better game visually and all around. That being said, I don't resent 2k10 because it gets some things right, but if you have a PS3, you definitely should go with The Show

  • @seattlesfinest891 (TheShow10/MLB2k10 part 1). I love both games. But not sure what you mean by fans in the outfield seats suddenly "pop-out" into place in MLB2k10 I tried looking at it several times but I'm not quite sure what's wrong with it.

  • r is so big b/c joe is not small and in 2k he is like a midget

  • @MrRCOLA (TheShow10/MLB2k10) Regarding Catcher's chest protector. Since you are a college catcher, I would expect you to actually see that there is in fact a problem with the catcher's chest protector in TheShow.

Look at ALL catcher's in TheShow. Play with ALL teams in the MLB and you'll see that EACH and EVERY single TheShow catcher protector is HUGE. It's a visual fact that graphically it's incorrect. Also take note of the strap that wraps around the back of TheShow's catcher -- it FLOATS.

  • e seats look flat then get like 3d

  • @seattlesfinest891 (TheShow10/MLB2k10 part 2). Since graphics is important to you, what about this:

@0:49 - 0:51: (TheShow10) catcher's KNEES completely covers home plate after throwing the ball back to the pitcher. Isn't that completely awkward? Don't you think this is a fairly big problem? Shouldn't the catcher be much, much further back? Why is the catcher's chest protector so large?

@1:15 - 1:17: (MLB2k10) catcher's knees stays far away from home plate, which is how it's suppose to be.

  • you scoot up to throw the ball back im a catcher in college i know and his chest protecte

  • @MrRCOLA (TheShow10/MLB2k10). I understand that catcher's must scoot up to add an extra bit of momentum to get the ball back to the pitcher, but don't tell me that the catcher's knees are suppose to COVER the ENTIRE home plate. That's simply a graphic error on TheShow.

I'll take your word that you are in fact a catcher in college. That's fine. But please respect the fact that TheShow's depiction of the catcher is incorrectly done.

  • @MrRCOLA (TheShow10/MLB2k10 part 1). The next time you watch a baseball game, notice how far back away from home plate the catcher is. And also where the catcher's knees are in relation to home plate as he throws the ball back to the pitcher. Real life game footage has the catcher well behind home plate even after they throw the ball back to the pitcher.

  • @MrRCOLA (TheShow10/MLB2k10 part 2) The next game that you play behind the plate as a catcher in college, don't tell me that you SCOOT ALL the way up and cover the ENTIRE home plate with your knees when you throw the ball back to the pitcher.

  • @strawberryshort99 ya i understand what you are saying it all makes sense but there is no such thing as a perfect game.

  • @MrRCOLA (MLBtheShow10/MLB2k10; PART A). True there is no such thing as a perfect game. But main slogans for TheShow franchise are two things:

    1) "nothing gets you closer to the real thing"

    2) it's the "little things that count"

The catcher's knee covering the entire homeplate is a graphic flaw in TheShow.

  • @strawberryshort99 ya thats a flaw but 2k has flaws to i mean did you see the numbers and names the are huge they arent that size in real life

  • @MrRCOLA (MLBtheShow10/MLB2k10). Jersey Numbers/Names.

From what I have read, both MLBtheShow and MLB2k gets official documents from Major League Baseball that they must adopt for their video games series. Apparently they aren't the same. 2ksports is require to follow the blueprint provided by MLB.

  • @MrRCOLA (MLBtheShow10/MLB2k10; PART B) It's just strange that TheShow fans have double standards. When something is flawed in MLB2k baseball, TheShow fans are extremely quick to point it out & completely bash MLB2k. BUT when TheShow has flaws, TheShow fans are quick to dismiss it & say "well, it doesn't matter," "nothing's perfect," and such. I'm simply saying that there seems to be a double standard. If MLB2k can do it right, why can't TheShow get the catcher/knee/homeplate element correct?

  • @strawberryshort99 ya i dont think 2k got it right either the catcher is really small and joe maur doesnt look like that when he is behind the plate

  • @MrRCOLA (MLBtheShow10/MLB2k10). I'll have to look closer at the size of the catchers in MLB2k10 vs TheShow10 vs. Real Life.

I like the fact that you are able to bring all these tiny potential flaws in 2k so that they can be addressed in future MLB2k installments. Personally, I don't mind at all. I just would like for TheShow fans (yes, I am fan of TheShow as well; TheShow09 is my favorite game) would be more open to seeing that there are flaws in both MLB2k10 and TheShow10.

  • @MrRCOLA (MLBtheShow10/MLB2k10). I'll have to revisit the size of the catcher's, but it's also important to recognize that "depth/perspective" of where a player is positioned on the field must first take precedent.

  • @strawberryshort99 and also the gloves on 2k have no detail what so ever they they are just brown as in mlb 10 the gloves look very real with the ummmm i cant remember what its called

  • @MrRCOLA (MLBtheShow10/MLB2k10). Regarding gloves. I think they're called seams or stitching or something like that. I'll have to look closer at that. But I certainly do appreciate that you brought it up. Interesting that you brought up the glove b/c I remember reading that some people actually believes 2k has the gloves done better.

I think we can both agree that there are flaws in both games. There are places where MLBtheShow does right and there are places where MLB2k baseball does right.

  • @strawberryshort99 the type of glove they use on MLB 10 is called a model T web and it is really detaild i like it better than 2K they are better than last year but not as good as the show in my opinion. we have differant veiws and opinions but you clearly know alot about gaming and baseball and i like it how in your arguements you don't cuss me out and you use good points

  • @strawberryshort99 MLB The Show has PLENTY of issues, and its fan boys do exactly as you say. They dismiss the problems of the game's core mechanics, simply because it's a visually more stunning game than its rival. Beer goggles for The Show's die hard fans. The 2k fans are typically a much more objective and loyal crowd.

  • for the mechanics i would say 2K,but for the presentation the Show murder 2k.ahhahahahaha

  • Pause at 1:58. Now go to 1:45. The difference is ridiculous. MLB 10 is better in my opinion.

  • great video, i just got my copy of the show like 5 minutes ago, been waiting a week for it to arrive in the mail becoz for some reason they dont sell mlb 10 the show in australian gaming stores and i dont think ive ever opened a game and turned on the tv and ps3 so fast

  • @manbearpigvictim You won't be dissapointed!

  • MLB 10 The Show Wins!

  • One looks like a video game and the other looks like a real game.

  • A hole new year! can't wait to get a copy of MLB 10 the show should be alote of fun!

  • Good Job.

The problem with the 2K hitting system is it messes up the batter's hitting stance and swing. It adds a "hitch" in the swing and makes it look unnatural less fluid.

  • @Truepcgamer yeah i completely agree with you. If you watch a replay of a HR or any hit you will see the "hitch" before they uncoil on the ball and it looks so herky jerky.

  • @nadasfan I know you're pretty objective but 2K still has a lot of catching up to do. Correct me if I'm wrong but are the fans in 2K 2D?

  • @Truepcgamer They look pretty good while you are pitching, but i believe if you get up close to them in replay they look pretty 2d. On the other hand the fans in the show are amazing, you can follow the ball into the stands this year on home run replays, and see the peole fighting for the ball up close.
