royce new style isn't very good for freestyling off the top, because he isnt stressing the regular snares like 1,2,4 quarter beats in the bar, etc. he is doing a more singing style focused on internal rhyme especially. he hits the 1st and 4th , sometimes in 4bar writtens he only hits on the 4th.. its not good for freestyling it'd be nuts if he could.
