  • 07:03 so cool!!

  • but the result is : no easy connections with other trains or bus (as trains always late), poor service, dirty and smelly local trains, bad railway lines, trains canceled, no information from the personnel, etc.

to see all this you should live in italy.

  • difficult question mate. because maybe italian people are used to it? maybe italian people are like that (late and dirty?)? maybe because in italy everybody thinks that trains are for the poor and highways for the rich so who who cares about the railways? many reasons

  • italian trains are old dirty, smelly and disgusting just like the people who rule this country

  • @cesaremario1968 "just like the people who rule this country" because?

  • @gamer00b but they are not building a common future like this, they are just dismantling and ruining a perfect way of traveling useful for everybody

  • We had caught the train from Lyon through Switzerland to Milano without a hitch. We caught the Venezia train to Padova. At Brescia, we stopped and retardo ( late) on the platform screen increased from 20 minutes to 140 minutes!! Then we were herded off onto another full train where we stood all the way to Padova. Apparently our train had hit a person at Brescia and the coroner had to be summonsed.

Other than that, our extensive travels around Italy went without any problems.

  • Great stuff, having just had 2 weeks in Italy,I thought Trenitalia wasn't bad.

  • Yeah, provided you don't have connections to make. Not much has changed there over 30 years.
