  • Wow man, sounds awesome! Both the playing and the recording. How are you recording it? I've got an Adamas 1597 SMT and am trying to get an AC-60. I'd like to do some recording! You mic-ing the amp or running into the sound card direct?

  • @satchman1000 - Thanks. Two condenser mics are capturing the room, which includes the amp's sound, the guitar acoustically, and the music I'm playing along with (hifi speakers).

  • beautiful improv long time favorite

  • great man....from Greece

  • plz can you tell me how to learned to play like this?

what kind of book did you figure out, what kind of dvds did you watch, what scaled did you learn? plz tell me I want to play like this so bad.

  • @RemoKinga I wish I could give you a formula or a book that would unlock everything. But the truth for me is that I've learned to improvise very very gradually over a period of about 25 years. I wish I had done things differently when I was in my 20's, but while I studied music, I did not apply it to guitar. Then life took over. I'm still too lazy for instructional materials, and I rely on my ear most of the time.

  • Excellent! Bravo! ;)

  • slinky lovely guitar! luv it man! nice sound also from ac-60!

  • wow, just beautfiful, lovely playing and great feel brother

  • dude sounds awesome dude you kick some major ass on the guitar keep it up

  • Dude I appreciate that - thanks! :) Regards, RP

  • Wow, man, did you mean to make me cry?

You're going to be the next Pat Metheny! Did you really improvise all of the playing?

Please, let me know how much is that guitar, because I want one right now.

  • I'm very glad you enjoyed it. Yes, it was improvised. The guitar is an Adamas 1587, pretty rare, and cost about $1900 USD. Thank you! -RP

  • Beautiful guitar, man, and superb improv. I'm thinking of getting an Ovation instead of the Fender J5 electro-acoustic I was thinking of buying.

  • love to see someone feeling the music, great job!

  • Way to go, I loved it. That was the best song I heared all day. Dude, my an album I'll buy it or at least go on America's Got Talent and I'll vote for you all the way ;). Can you play an improved version of "Black Magic Woman" by Carlos Santana that would be great to hear that song on one of your guitars. Keep on playing, man. 5/5

  • Thanks man, cool of you to say. I've been discovered by all of you guys, so that's probably gonna have to be enough. :)

  • This sounds really good i wish that i was just as good as you:p

    keep on the good work

ho knows maybe you will be discorverd and make a bunch of money xD

    Peacy out

  • hey bro, you really have a nice feeling, definitely I'll buy your music, but try to make tabs

  • Thanks for the compliment! I'm typically too lazy to write anything down of course... :)

  • yeah I know, but most of the musicians they leave to the experts transcriptionists to do that, trust me man you can make some good cash selling you tabs, you have a very good material.

  • is this an adamas? nice job

  • What gauge strings are on that bad boy? All of these seem very bright...

  • I'm using a somewhat rare set from LaBella called Criterion Golden Alloy, .012-.052. They are actually sweet and mellow, but with a nice high end chime.

  • Nice sound...really suits your style! I have a feeling that model guitar is just a bit to bright for the sound I want to get...but it it is nice to hear an Ovation with a little less jangle and a little more....oooomph.

  • Good work man, sweet sound from that ac-60!

  • I enjoyed this vid alot, and your musical talent as well. Great job.

  • Thank you! Very kind of you to say. -RP

  • It's right there in the title... "Life is Beautiful" by Luminous.

  • What is the name of the band and the song you are playing off of?

  • This is lovely... ;-)

  • nice sound... not to high or low... sets the tone..nice job... keep it up

  • Hey man, I rarely comment on guitar vids, but this was special.

You really have a nice touch to that guitar. Awesome tone.

    Thanks for sharing.

    //ryan.

  • is that why ive seen a comment from you from 55 different guitar vids?

  • haha I meant on improvising stuff. I comment on a lot of covers, but not on improvisation on stuff I've never heard before.

  • oh, lol i was just messing with you anyways.

  • Thanks a lot, whether you leave lots of comments or not, it's still appreciated! Regards - RP

  • Hey, that's cool! Congrats on the guitar. They are definitely special and somewhat overlooked by the general guitar playing population. Enjoy!

  • Been playing fo a while now and just purchased my first Adamas....magical guitars....to say the least

  • Wow! I want that tone!

  • are those nylon strings or steel strngs?

  • Steel - but I understand why you would ask. The Adamas has a very unique tone that I find quite expressive.

  • wow! you are mitic! Pat Metheny your idol? You counsel Mark corbino in my space. It is very ok.

  • Neato

  • mr. smooth operator.

    mahalo, rp!
