  • i like the bit where he says temptation.

  • Jake Busey!!rssr

  • Didn't realise Draco Malfoy was in Heaven 17.

  • Great song. The chick is amazing!!!

  • we will never forget the romantic 80s......xxx

  • BRINGS IT ALL BACK THE GOOD DAYS GREAT MUSIC GREAT LYRICS

  • At 2.26..."it's time for a shit now".

I found most 1980's music utter shite, however I liked this song so much I went out and purchased it getting soaking wet in the rain on the way home the record sleeve turning into the consistency of papier- mache, luckily the vinyl was undamaged.

  • I love electronic bands who used the fairlight!

  • @electronicmessiah ditto!!!

  • WARUM HAST DU DEIN BABY NACKT AUF DEN TISCH GELEGT?

ES HAT GEFROREN; DU HAST DIE FALSCHE FRAU GEHEIRATET ; JÖRG IMMENDORFF

  • ahh, the 80s, bring it on !!!

  • what a buzz great tune TURN IT UP!!

  • false...to many clicks;;;;;

  • Why watch it then moron?

  • no no no he is the double of jake busey (gary busey's brother)

  • Please stop typing 'chic' when you mean chick...? Carol Kenyon IS indeed a chic lady; (from the french; meaning elegant & fashionable etc.) I'm just lovin the fact Rob Brydon is on this! Haha ;P

  • Jupiter 8......Fairlight CMI.

Anyone remember when Forrest Gump touched that boob?

  • Gregory looks like a cross between David Bowie in the 'Modern Love' and Max Headroom. LOL That's not the same chic that was in the video.

  • Brill song from a great decade of music. Carol Kenyon is one hot bit of stuff

  • Glen has got 2 watches on his wrist!

  • @fantasticministry2 Yeah I noticed that too. I think the rumour that was around then was that Carol had come on stage wearing her watch, noticed it didn't quite suit her outfit and, as they were already on stage, she couldn't get rid of it. So Glen, being the absolutely gorgeous gentleman he is, offered to wear it for her!! How about that then ?

  • the black chic is well fit !!!

  • Yes, Carol Kenyon's lovely. She also appeared on Paul Hardcastle's 'Take your time.'

  • Yeah, had a massive crush on her for weeks on end after seeing this performance all those years ago ... and .... she still does it for me !!!

Love you Carol .... wherever you are .....hoo-ha!

  • OMG She was hot and Heaven 17 and this tune ROCK!!! This was out 8 years before i was born scary.

  • anyone else reckon he looks like christopher walken from A View To A Kill?

  • totally feeling you there.

  • I always thought he looked like Christopher Walken, cause everytime i watched A View To A Kill i thought of Heaven 17.

  • You`re right. Christopher Walken, twins.

  • they're walkens fucken crisps!!

  • @silleskat1 Christopher Walken and Gary Busey's lovechild.

  • @Wildeparker

    He he, yeah :)

  • thanks bud you put ended weeks of me tryin to remember who he reminded me of.

  • no problem buddy. makes me laugh everytime i see it.

  • Watch the King Of New York Christopher Walkens best film ..not much screened but ..brilliant if you can find it..

  • aaah, songs of the 80s were brill, aww, 'tis a shame i was born in the lat 80s

  • if this is carol kenyon who is the bird on'92 remix

  • ..that was carol kenyon too.

  • cAROL looked darker in other pictures i've seen of her

  • Oh...she looks and sounds different

  • I was wondering that !

  • I've just uploaded Heaven 17's performance of Temptation on Top of the Pops, Christmas Day 1983.

  • the big vocal hit at 1:57 is my favorite part, it's nuts they can pull that off live.

  • its the eighties, they could do anything and it'd still sound good

  • I seem to remember this song being performed on top of the pops with Carol Kenyon performing in a black string vest type thing. I certainly made an impression at the time on my teenage mind !!!

  • I'm surprised no-one has uploaded the great performance of this on the Christmas 1983 Top of the Pops.

  • I had everything from 80-86 on betamax videos which I discarded before the days of transferring them to CDs. Gutted!

I even had a special folder with every recorded track & show listed (remember Razzamatazz & Cheggars Plays Pop)? No MTV then-we had something to look forward to!

If only we'd had a VHS, it may#ve meant I still had the clips to hand. Including ones of me on TOTP's LOADS from 80-84. Never had a ticket, just attitude, outrageous clothes & high hair! You know the drill baby! ;-) xxx

  • That's the worst news I've ever heard! I'd absolutely love to have every copy of TOTP from 1980 to 1990.

  • Heaven 17 were the members of The Human League after the singer kicked them all out and got the 2 girls

  • its ok i got it its carol kenyon

  • Timeless song love it, she's very sexy aswell, i bet she don't look like that anymore...

  • Nope! Your WAY wrong. Her name is Carol Kenyon (you can search for her website). There is a picture on her website from March, 07 and she is still hot as ever. She reminds me very much of Corona (Olga Souza). Sadly Carol has only done a few songs with Heaven 17. While, I am not a big fan of Heaven 17, I loved Tempation, but mostly because of Carol. Her voice adds MUCH to this song.

  • Thanks for that, thats great news. im guna have a look at the site now, Cheers

  • haha good call

  • but do not forget, crushed by the wheels of industry

  • They were so young.....

  • In the early days heaven 17 was known as B.E.F British Electronic Foundation.. yet the name Heaven 17 is taken from the movie A clockwork orange..

  • roxy m8

  • sorry mate ur wrong bef was the producing name used by h 17 it started at the same time same boys just a different string to their bow

  • WRONG marsh and ware walked away from human league to start their own group and were joined by gregory after holding auditions for a lead singer they became heaven 17

  • You're almost right. But Glenn Gregory wasn't found through auditions. He was a friend Of Ware and they wanted him to join Human League, but he was busy with his own group at the time,so Oakey was recruited 'cos 'he looked like a pop star'

  • Yep, this is from the 21/4/83 edition.

  • This is not the 1,000 edition of TOTP - that was on May 5th 1983, and I have it on video. This must be a couple of weeks before, so the 998th edition of TOTP probably.

  • There was a 3rd performance on Christmas Day 1983, with Carol looking very sexy indeed. I also have this on video - I've already put one performance from that edition of Top Of The Pops on this site - it's Bucks Fizz singing When We Were Young.

  • screw you and the cradle of filth comments, im so sick of hearing them. This is the original group, the people that created the song. If Cradle of filth is so god dammned great then they should have come up with the song, not copied it from others. And i'm sorry, but cradle of filth is a horrible name for a group. It's disgusting, as im sure there music is the same. I pine for '83 and the way life and music was back then.

  • lol nice angry post there, and I cant find the comments you are commenting on :(

  • they are all over the place.. I guess there is a band called "Cradle of Filth" that does a cover of Temptation. Check some of the other videos, they are out there.

  • There was another TOTP where Carol Kenyon looked sexier than this, can't find it anywhere - probably wiped by the BBC.

This one is good though. :)

  • As far as I can notice, not playback at all, am I right ??

  • Should that not be the 1000th edition of TOTP?
