You seem to be of the idea that because these young girls/woman have chosen a strict, exacting, and rather old career path they are not fun loving teenagers. I have seen videos of REAL maiko dancing, watching TV, playing games, and doing things such as this. It isn't as though they aren't human and don't wish to have fun.
@NicolaAlexandrovna yeah gotta agree.. It's not so much as strict as it was back in the day. Alot of it has changed over time. I have seen videos and documentaries where they follow a girl who chose the lifestyle and it shows where most the time she studies and practices, but she does get days off where she will go shopping and hang out with ffriends and such. I wouldn't be surprised if they thought she was imitation cause of her being on a segway. You don't see that often. LOL
At the time of the video, she was the highest ranking maiko in her Okiya. White Collar, Pink Ofuku, her face, and I have seen her talk and that's her voice.
