  • @21:00, isn't Fischer better off just taking the rook after Tal moves the queen? He would be the exchange up and also open lines.

  • Tal was Tal, but Fischer was not yet Fischer.

  • Nice commentary,Nice Game, and TAL THE WIZARD ,really good job :)

  • Incidentally, Beograd would probably be more easily recognized by English speakers as Belgrade -- the current capital city of Serbia (at that time, the capital city of Yugoslavia).

  • Great analysis, Tryphon, and a lovely, long, through, easy-paced video. I really like your approach to these, the fact that you do them semi-ad-lib, rather than have everything prepared and preprogrammed. This gives the presentation a more "human" feel, and makes it easier to watch--one is given time to think on one's own or even get distracted for a second.

  • Did I just witness Tal defeat Fischer with undeveloped pieces and cheeky rook moves?

  • Kingscrusher, thanks for this, and other, videos !

    You doing great job.

  • Unusual to see Misha defend so resourcefully when his forte is his dynamic attacking abilities .

And bollocks to the voting these vids are the very best on YT the analysis is truly unrivalled by any wannabe .

  • Nobody likes to see fischer lose... Thumbs down .!..

  • Complete opposite of our Candidates match going on . . . 26/28 games drawn . . .

  • support comment :)

  • @12:13 knight takes the knight on c6 looks great: it cannot be recaptured or white wins f7, e6, and the knight on b3, not to mention tears apart black's position. If not recaptured it takes away one of black's retreating squares on a5, or once the queen moves the same result happens. black ties down his queen to the defense of f7...

  • @6:56 why would black retake with the pawn? If they retake with the bishop it only deprives them of the diagonal now occupied by the white lsb on d5; and when up at least a minor piece there isn't much to lose.

  • Added to "Fischer by Kingscrusher" and "Tal by Kingscrusher" playlists. Tryfon why not annotate the other two Tal-Fischer games from this tournament? Bobby lost twice more with the King's Indian Defence against Tal!?

  • the only thing i dont like is that you use a computer to explain everything and have to go through every single varation, o well there are begginers on this channel

  • Your videos are great. I enjoy everyone of tham and I am really thankful. Keep going!

  • What a fantastic game! Thank you for sharing it, great commentary as usual.

  • Fischer actually intended to play 22. Rae1. But Tal tricked him. After Bobby wrote down his move on his scoresheet (without playing it), Tal suddenly got up and told a joke to Petrosian. And they laughed. Fischer saw it and changed his move, thinking that they laughed about his move. Fischer was essentially a big child at that time. And Tal had tricked him.

  • Why they didn't draw in move 6? Those old fashioned players... Very good analysis!

  • A fantastic game by two fantastic players!

  • 11 Dislikes? WTF?! Kingscrusher needs YOU! (Imagine, if you will, a Lord Kitchener poster with a demanding finger point). We've gotta like these vids and beat the trolls.

  • @ImposingSumo The Youtube "dislikes" and even "likes" is completely open to abuse so don't worry about - I am more interested in comments and questions, and they also help me research the game and its angles more.

  • Robert James Fischer is Bobby Fischer ? I dont understand .

  • @haine920 Thanks for asking. I think that "Robert" is alternatively "Bobby". "Bobby is a diminutive of the Germanic names Robert (♂) and Roberta (♀) (also spelling Bobbie)". Where "diminutive" means: "pertaining to or productive of a form denoting smallness, familiarity, affection, or triviality, as the suffix -let, in droplet from drop.". A more affectionate alternative to Robert in other words.

  • Really nice video.Thanks!

Incredible how a GM missed b2 at the end.

  • at 15:55 would H4 work to support the bishop on G5?

  • @mcclurify I think that would allow Bb7 - which seems dangerous for White's king. It is important in this respect to get rid of that c8 bishop.

  • Wow! The variations in this game are impressive. If i imagine that this all happened during the game in the brains of Tal and Fischer, chess isnt only a battle on one board, but - including the in-brain variation boards of both players a battle on 3 battle grounds.

  • why not Ra7 9:27

  • @codexelectra Qd4 - forks two rooks - a7 and h8

  • @kingscrusher Where is Beograd? and why u often said Tarassh (Tal ) ? thanks for vid KC

  • @00000271990 Belgrade, Serbia.

  • fischer was 16?

  • @codexelectra yeah, fischer was only 16 here. i believe i've heard the quote from tal that 'tal was tal, but fischer was not yet fischer' about tal's very good record against fischer at this time.

  • Oh, come on man! Let him talk the way he likes! Those words he uses is what makes him "special" and "different" from others.

  • Hey KC. I love the videos that you do and I have learned a lot form you. Just one thing though... Could you please use another word to replace "cheeky"? I love what you do, but cheeky can't be be a way to describe everything, can it?

  • @bigreese46240 that's a bit of a cheeky comment

  • @bigreese46240 don't be cheeky, Cheeky Chops! =)

  • @bigreese46240 talk about cheek!!

  • Thank you for this so much, Tal is one of my all time favorite players and it seems like a lot of people forget about him for some reason. Great video as always (glad you got your partnership so we can see these long videos)
