any info on the ring? sometimes gold/platinum can have a false coating on it making it appear a cheaper metal. what was the end result when you checked the ring?

It doesn't look like Steve waterproofed his . . . ?? Of course, I would assume he has access to an unlimited supply. ;o) Suggestion - Garrett needs to come up w/a waterproof version of the Pro Pointer. I tried another brand, but didn't like it at all. The Garrett Pro Pointer has spoiled me. I also own the AT Pro and a buddy and I have had it out in the river once with some initial success. Great video!
