The battle with the mammoth kind of reminded me of UltraJMan's fight with the snow beast in his Chakan LP with the boss having the same pattern for the entire fight and the chosen weapon not doing much damage to the boss.

You could have beat the mammoth like 100 times faster if you used the fire sword..it breaks the ice block in one hit.
