  • amazing, thats very good

  • This is really good.

  • wow thats amazing ;)

  • I think this is the best tune I've ever heard for ps1 software. Great job.

  • video says it goes for 10mins 10 secs... whats after the 6 minute 30 second mark?

  • REALLY bloody fantastic!

  • I remeber those days playing this game making music. so many memories. nice song man!

  • Dude its Awsome i wish i could do tracks like this! Greetz from Germany!

  • very very cool man!!! nice track!

  • brilliant tune buddy.great composition on the old retro music 2000.wonderful sound captured.peace

  • pretty epic yo, you got to be a producer lol nice work man

  • BARDZO KLIMATYCZNY KAWAŁEK.SUPER SIĘ GO SŁUCHA :)

  • Now you see this is the sort of thing I was aming for on my NINE attempts at composing music form this game, yet mine just sound shit!

  • im never playing this game again..... im shit, your awesome. nice job man!

  • @jetsika

    lol mate, you aint shit..

If you think you are though, just copy some music in music2000 :D

The first track I ever did was Better Off Alone by Alice Deejay lol, instrumental of course.. It was probably crap but at the time I thought it was amazing!

It was easy though, if you listen to different parts of any track when you listen to it you'll notice sounds you've never noticed before, and when you put em all together it sounds great..

  • @jetsika

You just have to cancel out other sounds when you're concentrating on one thing, like the different cymbals, or a synth, drums, bass, anything..

Good luck, and don't give up! :D

  • @jetsika , it's not a game, it's software... but you are right... it s just a game...

Music 2000 is definitely old-fashioned and out. This track prooves it very good.

  • check out 2flow

  • woah

  • Where can i download this? This is soooo awesome !!!

  • @1973svp

Glad you like it, I do have a download link if you're still interested..

  • @ThantosProduction

    Thanks mate.. :D

  • i have music 2000, i cant play it because its pal and i live in the states :( they are the same game and contrary to popular belief they both have riff editors

  • Great creation mate!!! Keep it up!!

  • this is good

  • i have tried to get this game working on a PS2, even though they have said to play PS1 games it doesnt :(

  • @MagnunOfTheAshTree

Strange, because I play this on a PS2, my PS1 died many many years ago..

PS3 on the other hand, wont play this at all, well it will but the majority of samples will transform into clicks..

  • Comment removed

  • ok id REALLY like to remix this! i love that game!

  • get this on itunes

  • @thecenturyegg

Nope, you can't get this on itunes..

  • This track is brilliant. I have question, can I use this in my GTA 3 video?

  • @Filipcreate

Thanks, and yes you can if you still want.. Do you want an mp3 upped for you?

  • @JaxxBunny Yes, I bet it will be in better quality than onlinevideoconverter . com

  • Has anyone else tried playing Music 2000 on there PS3 and the sound hasnt come out right?

  • @foxy1985xx

I tried that back in 2007 and yeah, that game has issues, most of the samples are just clicks and crackles.. And I don't believe there's any way to fix it.. :( I thought I could make hundreds of tracks without worrying about running out of memory card lol but it failed..

I posted the problem too but got zero help.. If you ever find a solution though, let me know too.. :D

  • GOOD MUSIC. I MAKE AN CD WITH 12 MUSIC. MY CONDINAME IS PROTEUS. A'LL SHOW YOU MUSIC IN MY YOUTUBE.

  • hear it nearly every day!

  • GREAT!!! Remember me to Terminator!

  • Add some wobble bass and you got some dubstep here;)

  • one of the best which was made with music2000!!!

  • 44 seconds in and I got goos bumps all over. don't stop making music dude. EPIIIICCCCCCCC!!!!!!!

  • Awesome

  • This is fucking epic...... jesus himself could of made this.....

  • I did songs on this game, too, so i apreciate you much, i did a long D'n'B & a trance with piano, with both of them you could relax if you want it...it's a great songyou've done...:)

  • One question: I´ve got Music 2002 club edition slinky the program itself is amazing but there are some aweful bugs like crackling and crickling sounds between samples and notes , exiting without reason, replacing single samples with other ones without reason...... does anyone know how to fix at least this clicking sounds? for an example what I´ve created with this program have a look at my profile... :)

  • This song remember me Donkey Kong Country oO

And yeah M2K is brilliant.. :)

  • Wow that sounds really good. Check out my music generator songs.

  • wonderful work, very much cool !

  • @caxep32

    Thanks mate..

And thanks to everyone else too.. :D

  • i Love Goa :D

  • -]. this song is brilliant and PHATTASTIC, but the quality's bad man, you wanna give me ya memory card and I'll record with my studio, i'll give you cd quality .[-

  • @TEMPHUiBIS

Thanks mate.. Yeah I know the quality is crap but what connection would you use to with your studio? Optical?

I tried to use an optical out to record to CD but my recorder wouldn't allow it, copy protected and all that.. Meh..

  • @JaxxBunny -]. Optical wont work on PS1 games, that's a shame but I got big mixer and full quality line-in phono plugs setup and when ya record to sound forge at 48hz which is studio quaility, it's the best for taping ya songs from Music and Music 2000 .[-

  • @TEMPHUiBIS

    Hehe nice one.. Sounds good..

  • really atmosphirc, uplifting and dark all at the same time. wicked tune mate.

  • a nice chilled track, I also had "you wanna make something like that and you end with some other" but this one is realy easy, and chilled.

I also put my songs here on youtube, never found a friend who also played this so always alone playing and now there youtube! (I know youtube is bin here some time)!

  • @nebtrans

Hehe yeah, Well I had friends who used this thing too but I seemed to work better alone.. Mainly while the rest of the world slept..

Nice, I'll check out your stuff too..

  • Jaxx i had this game/program alote time ago i think more then 9 years on ps..

now i'm looking to find it on my pc..

any crap torrent or website i found that program has a problem..

the last i found needs crack or something...

did you know any link to download? tnks.

  • @k4yN

Yeah no problem, check your PM! :D

  • cool track

  • SAVAG!!!!! O MAN!!!! AND ONLY FOR 25 DOLLARS CAN U HAVE FUN, MIX, MASK AND REVERBERATE WITH COMPRESSION, AND U GOT A GAME THATS FUN AND AS FUN AS THE TIRING WORK IN A STUDIO! Music for every second of life. this is definately my neext investment. oh man, if only anybody knew of this hidden gem with such a creative future to play with!

  • how do you get the file (all i need is the sound file) from PS1 to computer?

  • @FtaCapoeiraWoot

Well I used to use the audio cables (white/red = left/right) and send them through to my standalone Cd recorder.. You could probably do this by sendin them to your computers mic port too but you'll have to tweak the in/output volumes on each device and even then you'll probably end up with alot of interference..

These days I record the track on DVD-RAM, then rip the video to my computer, then rip the audio from the video using Cool Edit Pro (now called Adobe Audition of course)

  • @JaxxBunny ... what cd recorder is it, how do u do that?

  • @44eelz

It's just a bog standard Philips CDR775 Audio CD Recorder.. I bought it about 7 years ago, and its still working, mostly anyway.. Back then it was £250..

And instead of using a scart connector on my PS2 I use the red/white/yellow composite cables and plug the audio cables into the input on the back of the CD recorder, then from there I hit record on the CD rec and play the track on the PS2..

  • @FtaCapoeiraWoot

I dunno if that helped but that's how I do it.. :D

  • howyou get the file from PS1 to computer?

  • Reminds me of the music outta' the Mass Effect series.

  • kinda creepy, D;

  • I'm lost with you guys saying you rip from cd, can you tell me in plain english how to mix a track from a cd to pc, if I record to a cd how do I incorperate that back into the program that I finally want to put out, all help needed. x

  • Do you mean you don't know what ripping from a CD means? It just means copying it in the desired format (MP3, WMA or whatever) to your computer..

If you have the music on CD you can use Windows media player to rip it to your comp..

Or were you asking something else?

  • -]. this was actually damn good .[-

  • Very nice. Ive been playing Mtv Music Gen aka the Beats for years now ~ Great stuff ~ I noticed you used a lot of stock clips, how many did you have to customize? ...And you didn.t upload any did you? Cuz that.s cheating! hehe Song sounds really good though. Really good. Well done!

  • @SamStrane

    Thanks..

But I'm not sure what you mean by 'uploading any' and 'stock clips'..

By the sounds of 'how many did i have to customize' I'd guess you meant using riffs from the riff library.. Well I think I saved a premade riff from the library but then completely change its contents, but partially keeping the name, inparticular the Pot+Panner riff..

Also, the main drone throughout the track is what inspired me to make this track..

I heard that drone and the rest pieced itself together..

  • @JaxxBunny

That drone is in the riff library, and so I used it and edited it to fit later parts of the track..

I'm curious to know though what you meant by uploading any.. :)

  • This brings me some good memories,i bought the first two(Music and Music 2000)It was a very good introduction to my music production, ive got around 30 memory cards full of tracks, but im working now with FL 9.This track its pretty good mate, sounds like a healthy crossover of Massive Attack and Enigma.Nicely done mate.

  • @bairrocorderosa

    Nice, thanks alot mate..

I've tried Fruity Loops and actually, it's the ONLY program I like better than M2K.. I could seriously get deep into that.. But I hate the idea of having to constantly pay for something I'm not guaranteed to use 24/7.. :(

  • @JaxxBunny Liking the track and will chk out your other tunes. Also had the 1st and 2nd "musics" which are think were the best of the series. How would i upload tracks that i have on memory cards? Anyone? Thanx

  • @pappachook

    Thanks man.

I think I only had the demo of the first Music but I still managed to make a full length track on it hehe..

What I do to get the music of the PS2 (using a PS2 to play it) I connect the audio cables to a standalone CD Recorder and simply play it whilst recording, then rip the CD to my comp..

Then I used Nero Vision 4 (bundled with Nero 7) to merge the track with video, or in my case, still images.. :)

Then the 'Export' feature lets me save it as a video.

    Hope this helped!

  • @JaxxBunny

But with this video, I just used a video camera..

  • @JaxxBunny what do you mean by the audio cables? i am using a scart lead into my telly so should i run leads out from the headphone out? Thanx for your patience

  • @pappachook

You could do that but you'd get some buzzing in the recording too..

Audio cables sorry, I have a scart cable too but I use the composite cables (yellow, white and red), and I stick the red and white audio through my CD recorder..

But if you're satisfied with just using your headphone jack, go for it but make sure you have the output volume correct or it'll sound distorted as hell.. :)

  • Thanks again for your help i get what your saying now. Just need to get a cd recorder. At the moment my tracks are on Video Tape!!!! but it shouldnt be to hard to put tham on dvd and possibly rip the music from that. i hope. Thanx again

  • @pappachook

Yeah that's a great idea, if you see some of my other videos that's exactly what I did..

Just recorded them onto DVD and ripped them to my computer.. If you have a DVD recorder that'll definitely be the best way.. Good luck!

  • you should make a jumpstyle mix :D

  • @PIKACHU49386

Hehe, I'm not sure if I'm gonna remix it.. I had remixed one other track I made and it just failed..

  • Actually, jumpstyle is a a dance with it's own type of music, you can be just as original and creative as you want! All it takes is that the song has to be at a constant rate of 140-150 bpm, and at most parts of the song, you need an electronic heavy bass going at the beat. but make sure you leave moments without the bass so the dancer can take a quick break, this is just if you want to try to make one that is, look up Jumpstyle to show you what I mean. =)

  • @PIKACHU49386

Hehe, I know.. Which is basically remixing the track.. or did I miss something..?

But hey, I'm sure there'be no1 dancing to my music lol.. Nice thought though..

i still have lots of unfinished tracks to do.. Getting round to em all is proving tricky.. We'll see though, watch this space..

  • Good stuff, very ambient and atmosperic. Quite original too

  • Oh men....it remembers me Mass Effect of Xbox360...

    ¡Really cool, man! 6/5

  • @animally1

    Thanks mate..

  • just brill..

    sounds real pro

  • yes, it sounds really gr8, Music 2000 might be old, but still might sound like pro in hands of skilled

  • nice one... really..

  • You know what bro it reminds me alot of the Terminator 1 theme.Nice,I liked it.

    Jayso.

  • kompliment,eine sehr schöne arbeit!

könnte glatt irgendeine filmmusik sein, wirklich ordentlich!

  • i really enjoyed this song, it has a great melody and lot of atmosphere. you seem to be a good music producer. how many songs have you created?

  • Thanks..

I've done about 40 or so but lost the vast majority by storing them on an old PS1 Explorer Cartridge..

So I may as well just say about 10 then.. :(

  • you still into music production? you know, there's this forum called timgul (currently reopening) where guys from all over the world still share songs made with jester interactive software. i'm one of those guys

  • Well I've started on another just recently but I barely have time like I used to to get on with it properly..

I know of some forums like that but I've never been.. Not too serious about it.. It's just damn good fun! XD

  • You know what bro it reminds me alot of the Terminator 1 theme.Nice,I liked it.

    Jayso.

  • Haha lol I see what you mean actually..

But that wasn't my intention.. And thanks!

  • que lindo suena, buen trabajo

  • Gracias mucho.

    Agradezco su comentario. XD

  • niec

  • omg awessoomemeee, can u upload music to net and send a link for me? please..

  • Sounds like alien trilogy nice work!

  • This is a great song. I love this program, I just subscribed to Youtube today so hopefully I'll be able to share some of my music with you. Wow..

  • quite some soothing music.

  • THAT WAS FUCKING AMAZING! superb melody, well done pal...

  • Thank you very much mate.

    Thanks to all comments! :D

  • incredible ! any body knows good programs for pc??

  • you're lucky in UK. Our american version (which was renamed to MTV Music Generator 1) has smaller song screen, no language options (only english) and some demo songs are missing

You can see the differences here:

    mtv-music-generator. com/tutorials/m2kvsmg. gif

    btw awesome song :)

  • Interesting, I never knew that.

But there are still 24 channels in the US version right?

I was thinking recently too that Music2000 on the PS1 was crap because you only have 24 channels, unlike the PC version which has 999. I have the PC version, I just can't navigate menus very well, it'll take a lot of getting used to. :(

Also on the PS1 version, the bass drum often cuts out any mid or treble (or both) when it sounds, which is annoying.

But I just can't change from it, lol.

    Thanks btw.. :D

  • yep, 24 channel. I don't like the pc version to be honest though, because controls are bad and annoying, plus for me it crashes sometimes. I prefer using controller on that kind of game and I don't mind much the 24 channel limit. When I need more I use MTVMG2 instead

  • I'm with you on the PC version.

Hey M2K sometimes crashes on me too!

Another idea I had was ripping the M2K disc to my computer then using my emulator to run it (with PS2 controller) I would've had unlimited storage for tracks. :D

I dunno if you've heard what PS version M2K sounds like on a PC but it's terrible and completely unusable unless you change the offset of 99% of your samples from 0 to 1, or whatever number.

The exact same happens if I try and run it on a PS3, and I've no idea why. :(

  • strange for me it works fine on pc. I use ePSXe with Eternal SPU sound plugin and it sounds like a real PSOne. Only small difference is that when your computer slows down sometimes the sound clicks between notes is sometimes a bit louder

  • I might have to try that one then for my next track.. I never really liked ePSXe so I've always used PSXfin v1.13 and v1.12. Great Emu..

I'll give ePSXe another shot sometime.. :D

  • yeah PSXfin has incompatibility issues with Music 2000. Good emu though, more accurate
