your composing is really awesome!! i read your myspace profile, and you said you played piano since 5. did you learn to play classical (traditional) music playing? i want to try composing too, but don't know where to start. i don't have much talent as i haven't even tried transcribing (i actually can't tell the LEFT hand apart from the RIGHT hand) did you start composing after learning to transcribe by ear? i love this piano melody..how long it took you?

I'm working on transcribing it on sheet music actually, so if you wouldn't mind waiting a little longer, I'll try to have it done soon.

Yeah, no problem. It's taking longer than I thought because there's slight delay when I transcribe on my keyboard, so everything is just off on my computer. Arrgh.

All of David Levithan's stuff is awesome. I would recommend Realm of Possibility because of the intricate individuality of each story, and Nick and Nora's Inifinite Playlist, which is actually going to be coming out as a movie soon! Can't wait for that.

these lyrics are the absolutely best ever written. i cried like mad when i read them in the book and your adds are absolutely perfect. just this last tuesday me and my friends discussed the "musical boyfriends" thing, and agreed upon that piano is the best. guitar is more like "yeah, whatever..." so yeah, my chin was kind of down on the floor when i, just for fun, googled "there is a once when i never think twice" - and found this! As for the lyrics, I took the verses from the book, and wrote the chorus and bridges in the song. Maybe if you take a read in the book, you'll get the verses a bit more.

Haha I still like the chorus anyhow even though the verses allude to more personal things like preference, that I don't share, which makes it harder for me to appreciate. Not many people really read book nowadays anyway. And about the book... well, it may not be for everyone, but it's a really cute book, and even if you can't relate to the boy liking boys, you should be able to relate to the central theme, which is love.
