This is a great video!! I understand this music wasn't your first choice but it's still cool and goes with the feel of the video. Makes me wanna put on my pointy toe pumps and deep red lipstick (lol) Great Job!!!!!!!!
pour yourself a dry martini and listen to a band that would make Frankie & the Pack proud! they are 7 Jetsetter Jazzniks with a singer who has a Sinatra vibe. ck them out.
The only reason I like living here is because of this city's association with some of the greatest musicians of its era. Everything else about Vegas sucks.
If time travel is ever invented I'm pulling a Biff. Betting on sports games, getting rich and going to Vegas to chill with Frank and Sammy and Dean! Smoke some unfiltered cigarettes in swanky lounge!
WMG is a bunch of @#%#@^&! Read Ben Franklins ideas about copyright and patents. He said a 10 year max! People would get paid for their creations but couldn't just rest on their laurels.
You were not abused as a women so how would you know any thing about abuse of women? You are just trying to make Sence of the whole world saying women are doing OK? We are only making 75cents to A DOLLER. YOU ARE MAKING A DOLLER? SO WHY DO YOU THINK ALL GIRLS HAVE A CHOSE WHEN THERE ARE GUYS LIKE YOU THAT THINK PROSTITUTION IS OK? yOU SPREAD YOUR ASS AND SEE HOW MANY MEN YOU CAN TAKE ON?
ah this is back when cool was cool, take it easy, lay back, role with it, have some fun, make some music and a few bucks as your doing it.
Now the music of today, god, turn off that radio, delete that top 40's crap off your computer, blow off that old vinal record, give a listen to some old, smooth, goodness and relax with the best of them... im 23 years old hahaha
@GeordyColeman good to know some youngsters out there know what cool really is! never forget these days! Tell your children and grandchildren what class and cool really is all about!
@GeordyColeman Yes that time was Sp much fun. I was Franks Sinatra's arm candy back in the 60's I was with him every time he came to Las Vegas . I was with him in his hotel room and at dinners and at his shows. My name back then was Jane Harvey My name now is Jane McCormick . just google my name and you will see me with the boys. i had to get it all down on paper so I had a writer lady help me write my true life story called Breaking My Silence:
@TheCoxblox You are some peace of work ? You are such a short minded person. I speak at Organized crime and help girls that get in to prostitution . I am a fighter for the women. And think all men that pay a girl for sex should go to jail. and the pimps are the scum of this earth. So go on your stupid way of thinking they were hore mongers get over it.
Okay first off, women seem to be doing okay these days. Last time I checked they out numbed men in universities world wide. It's not like women are being chained to the stove and beaten with their children these days , so I shit on that whole "i'm a fighter for the women" bs u just spouted.
Secondly, it's the year 2010. Women have all the rights and choices men do these days, and some of them still choose to sell their asses. I would have to say that falls under the whole "right of free choice"
The Rat Pack & I am the year of the Rat(1972)! Yes! These guys defined cool - now it's a bunch of sissies. There's no more elegance, class, style, or romance. Vegas tore down the good stuff & that is really lame.
@MeGaDeAnMaRtiNFaN That's exactly how I feel! These cats were before my time but I know great music and I can just feel how "cool" it must have been in those days to be young. Today's youth have no clue. I grew up in the Beatles era and I loved it, but I would give my life to see The Rat Pack, Frank, Dean, Sammy, and the rest.
We missed out on this era but fortunately we've been to the Sahara where Frank performed and that was awesome. I just wish I could have seen the Sands and the Dunes casino and hotels before they were demolished. What a waste of history.
This is some cool shit. My grandmother worked in Vegas playing at a piano bar from 1950 until 1970. She was from Chicago so I know the mob gave her the job. Whoever that "Don" was that gave my grandmother a job - you have my eternal respect. Fortunately, as a kid and teenager, I got to visit her many times from 1959 onwards and got to witness this "golden" era in Vegas. Frank, Sammy, Dino, Joey and the rest - what talent, style and class. My heroes. Nothing now compares.
Wonderful video you have here. Love the Rat Pack, and the music you selcted for this video is fantastic. This video is just my style. Thank you very much for posting!
it makes me laugh i had similar problem, but they dont mind sticking adds over the top of it! so there still earning from your video....idiots when will the likes of WMG realise that your are endorsing the music not stealing it!
I just took my 17 year old son to Vegas - we stayed at the Golden Nugget and saw "The Rat Pack is Back" at the Plaza. I taught him all about old school Vegas and those cool cats who started it all!
I just got back from Vegas and saw that show too...stayed at the Nugget as well. Amazing seeing the old pictures and some of the old signs that still exist....and what is WMG by the way?
Even with this music, which isn't half bad, I loved this slide show. This is the 'Vegas I remember.....the terrific hotels and great performers of the 60's. Good job!!
there is a reason for copywrites though. The creative people who we all enjoy should still get paid for being creative. Even if they are no longer with us the families should still see the profits of their relatives efforts when they were alive.
why should the families make money on something they had no part of? just because frank sang a song, doesn't mean some cousin's kid should get money (i don't know who he has surviving him) just because some one married the right person. i love the pack.
@markymustang but the video is not for profit and therefor he can use the music in it but if he earns any money from it wmv has every right to take down the video
You and me both. I did get to see Dean in 1987 as he was still going strong, just before his son died. Got to shake his hand and say thanks. These guys were the epitome of cool. I really miss them all.
That can be so..i just dont like his style, humor nor his voice. It all comes down to taste I guess. It can be a wonderfull person and all....But as an entertainer i dont have much with him as imo Sammy is way more talented and an all round entertainer. And Dean is just untouchable i think :) but as i said before..it all comes down to taste :)
@jimmydcap Me too ! i think it was American culture's Golden Age when the Rat Pack was around....all of them are such incredible icons in their own right....and they remained good friends......their talent as individuals or as a group is incomparable...
Great Video! I love the Ratpack! They rule! I used to live in Miami Beach and was a regular patron at another one of their haunts the elegant Fontainebleau Hotel. Recently restored too and still going strong. I was in the old La Ronde room(now a club at the Fontainebleau) and could just feel their presence there on the stage.
F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S - could almost taste`n`smell that `50s - `60s smoke-filled era with your mix of fab music and photos...quite a bit of talent shown here in doing it so well, methinks.
totally agree with the annotated comment of the showgirl in this video.
This music you used for this works extremely well (even though the earlier version might have been better). This is my first viewing of this video and I think you did an amazing in making this.

You got that right. There will never be a bad ass crew like this......ever again. This is vintage Las Vegas, it was their town and those times are lost to the ages and wll never be repeated.
