  • Is it possible to do this for a non-uniform material like 2 materials joined together?

  • If you have two materials in parallel (like one on top of the other) then the you can calculate each separately and apply the parallel resistance formula: 1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2. That should be a good starting point. If you have an alloy that continuously transitions from one to another then you may have to use some Calculus to get it to work out.
