  • A fan since 1964 when I first heard 'Go Now' as a ten year old boy. 47 years later I still think they are amazing and I have had the pleasure of seeing them live 5 times.

  • I grew up in Oregon listening to lps and 45s.... listened endlessly on the persistently cold farm, reading, dreaming.... no group ever produced such consistently GREAT Art. It is MY Opinion that Moody Blues Needs to be brought into the Current. I will soon Create some Moving Fractals and make a Channel for them. Moody Blues will not go on FightFeces or RisePatriot due to inappropriate Art mixing. I should have it ready in a week and will advise all once I select a channel name!

  • Time to put this on the concert setlists! Nice flute and and amazing guitar.

  • yes...age 57 here...why am i surprised at the loving thoughtful comments here, at the moody blues music...

all too often i read these angry, mean spirited comments....cursing, homophobic rants...or the (not too) brilliant comparisons of srv. VS. . hendrix, and the like...such bitter personal attacks over music...the joyful noise that speaks love to those that can hear it...not the childish fighting over WHO IS BETTER???... WHO KNOWS? WHO CARES...JUST ENJOY....I,TOO PRAY FOR YOU....

  • @arniemax1 - Well said!

  • @arniemax1 Yes, you are absolutely right...I noticed the same thing..beautiful music like this does soothe the soul..bring joy..and create harmony.. My thought and prayers are with the person who went through the surgery..that he/she survived and is growing stronger now and continuing to enjoy the beautiful sounds of Moody Blues.

  • good luck to you soyoumfive

  • When I feel I'm drifting off my path ....Searching for myself...This song always brings me back..

  • @thrmrtimmy. god bless you and keep fighting the great fight. You see you are loved. Thanks for your story as i have family members fighting cancer now.

  • ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SONG,THE MOODIES STILL AMAZE ME WITH THEIR BRILLIANCE. THANK YOU.

  • Ahhhhhhhhh, pure bliss. The Moody Blues a simply the best, right up there with the Beatles.

  • @AuntDianeee And yet, the Moody Blues are still at it. What an amzing group.

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

  • 460 to 4 i think says a lot, vocals to perfection as ever, truly inspired work. I think the spirit shines thru in a clear way here. This is art as it should be. Clearly, simply, purely expressed. seems simple ehh? hah

  • All I can say is, GOD!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS BAND. Their music gets me through the good times and the bad times. I can't think of one tune by the Moodies, that I don't like. Amazing band. One of my all time favorites. Thank-you for this post.

  • It so good to know there are people who feel as I do about the Moodies. Have been listening to them since late 60s. There music and words have got me thru every phase of my Life. I am now 58, and still cry from there words of hope and wisdom. LOVE TO YOU,ALL

  • @gregc5371 I have been listening to the Moody Blues since the late 60's as well. BTW, I am 58 years young also.

  • Wonderful video to a wonderful song! Thanks for including the lyrics.

  • I am a therapist who empowers people to deal with anger... Each day is an opportunity to change. "Wake up to the possiblity of starting to be who you were truly meant to be." We have been set up to think that money will make you happy. Transition into a career that you love to do...and then get paid for it???? what a wonderful thought. Getting paid to do what you love. Or you can just remain where you are..."Listen We think we have found you."

  • makes me cry

  • never ever tire of this song, 41 years later jeeze !

  • yes yes yes

  • So many of their songs ring ture beyond their meaning or what they intended it to bring unto one and every one of us human beings. Its like when you smell a burning candle or walk by a field of flowers. One can feel the smells and it invigorates the mind. WOW!!!!! did I just say that... ??? :)

  • How could anyone not like this?

  • This sounds as good or better than it did when i was 17 years old in 1970. What a unique sound !

  • How far we've drifted from the teachings of the Moody Blues

  • Baby there's no price upon your head,

    Sing it, shout it.

Now the angry words have all been said.

    Do it, don't doubt it.

  • Because I love you so much, yet Jesus loves you more. Ask him to show you truth and come into your heart.

  • SojournFive, may you get through your ordeal with the prayers and love we all for each other....and for you!

  • great

  • Even after 40 years or so I had no idea they were sending such spiritual lyrics and themes. Still we are free : To choose "Open your eyes and start to be you"

    Do it don't doubt it

  • " God", ha ha ha

  • @piercethevale Indeed. Especially at a time when almost everybody else was screaming and cussing. And today, their clear crystal message may still be heard above the din.

  • This song is of pure magic and so full of truth and inspiration. The Moody Blues are full of true beauty and ever so mesmerizing to the soul. The Moody Blues!! xx♥

  • today it was reported that a 'super-bug' has been found in India that resists all known meds. listen...

  • Very nice...thank you for posting. :)

  • I wish I could hide myself in the wilderness of your pictured mountains but I have to have brain surgary soon and can't deny it. The moodies got me through bad times in the 70's and will help me now. "No price upon your head"? Sing it, well I can't without tears but they are tears of joy for their music. Thanks for that.

If I get through this then I will post again, If not then keep enjoying this great music, it got me this far! And who knows! LOVE

  • @SojournFive ~ within your thoughts you can visit these wilderness images anytime you like... "thinking is the best way to travel"... may healing and loving hands guide your surgery and quick recovery so that we may see you visit here time and again. Peace, blessings and love ~ Dave aka - coloradream

  • This is one of the 1st groups I feel in love with, the sound, vision, thoughts that come to the mind. I thank you for putting them on site.

had the honor of seeing them a couple of time, when I was younger.

This is a wonderful spiritual wake up call.

I am on the right track and well blessed.

Thank you for the reminder..of these things.

  • @washitawoman Thanks for bringing that up, nice to know that someone else remembers that. Always thought it kind of odd...

  • perhaps the best Moody Blues song but there is so much good music that this group produced. I saw them in the late 80's at a concert Thanks for a great Post.

  • This song is too short, annoyingly so

  • Is Justin playing those flaminco runs........ HOT!

  • This video and song are a perfect match. Thanks.

  • love your video, does the music justice.

  • There's no end to the good music created by the Moody Blues-it's an utter travesty that they haven't been given their rightful place in the Hall of Fame.

  • Another incredible tune by this magnificent band. God!!! there are so many great Moody Blues songs. Savage Rick, you are so right when you say this is some of Justin's best guitar work. Listen to that acoustic guitar. WOW!!! I can't get enough of this band. I'll always love this band. There music will live on forever.

  • Beautiful share Gary - thank you

  • Just a lovely written song, beautifully played and sung.......thanks for putting it here mate.....:)

  • Play This In Concert!!!

  • best ever. period

  • thank you for posting, this beautiful video and song.

  • Just want to thank you for the great videos to this great music by the Moody Blues.

  • Very up lifting, an excellent VIDEO!

  • a moment in time ;)

  • ya jazznut, the moodies caught so well the minstrel tradition, singing of those high and faraway places while teaching chivalry, grace and courage to the rapacious lords of the time...with subtlety, wit and melodies that would bring a rose to bloom in autumn

  • Chivalry, grace and courage will always live as long we have these lovely songs.

  • ... now the angry words have all been said ... speaks to our heart of willful choice: we can stop the rage, change and move onto to more productive feelings like feeling for others: empathy -- it matters not if Justin and his buds went though all this or just imagined and observed it around them -- their songs work perhaps miracles because they sensed the huge need to reach our collective psyche and move it: that mind we share into a spirit of light love peace om

  • @davidfaubion he Moodies give us a technique too, a path to light and liberation; the path is implicit in the simple loveliness of the songs, song of irresistible grandeur that we all sing together--Moody songs are mostly sing-along anthems most of which are compelling that if the devotee is sans a playing devise the Moody-head will sing that song, at least in the heart--so, we sing the Moodies, free ourselves with the singing fire of our chi, our center, our belly, unless we never learned how

  • @davidfaubion never really heard Justin's sweet guitar playing in this song 'till today; thus, "now i know i'm just another step along the way, so weep no more for treasures we've been searchin' for in vain, cause the truth is gently fallin' with the rain, high above the the forest lie the pastures of the Sun, where the two had shared the feeling (empathy) now are one,,, don't deny the feeling that is stealin' through your heart, every happy ending has have a start -- Joy in the joy of others!

  • @davidfaubion oh, forgot to include ..."All my life I never really knew me 'til today-yea, now I know I'm just another step along the way-yea, weep no more...; thus, we know Nepenthe: the end of sorrow as now others become as importance to us as ourselves; thus no more sorrow at seeing our loved ones slip through our fingers ...

  • very early moodies, 1968.

    But...we have found you.

  • Beautiful video..an excellent setting for the Dawning Is the Day...

  • coloradream, I did not think it possible to capture the essence of Dawn in a video, and yet, you have done it. With the perfect work of music that belongs with it. Bravo, well done!

  • For so, so, so long...doing and not doubting.

    May the Moodies continue to...!

  • A message for abby in the morning.

  • I have loved this song for 40 years or so. MB are so special. I thanks my bro Lon for playing them in around me. Today is a new moon and everyday we start a new. Songs like this really mean a lot. People need to wake up and smell the roses life is so short!

  • Kind of odd, but I do believe that maybe the Moody Blues are actually angels sent down to Earth to enlighten and inspire us. How else can you explain the music and lyrics?

  • i love this band. better than the beatles imo.

  • Loved this since I was a wee tyke.Used to sing it on horseback! If we're trading MB videos I submit this.....

  • @sarahlafish Wow! That's a lovely memory. Yeah, I can picture someone singing this while riding their horse...epsecially when it gets to the fast part where Justin sings,"Baby, there's no price upon your head..."

  • "Listen we think we have found you". They found me in 1967 and never lost me. Great reminder that they are the best ever.

  • alittlepale, LOL, love your comment!!! They found me too and I'm still here!! They are playing 8 miles from my house in July - I am PSYCHED!!!!!

  • You are, indeed, fortunate. I see them whenever they come close to Calgary. In 1978 they had just re-formed and I told my boss that my aunt had died and flew to Vancouver. I had tears in my eyes that day, and again when I saw Justin sing THE ACTOR last time around. Best wishes

  • Beautiful song and imagry. Coloradream, is it possible that I can get a still image of the girl looking at the sunset at 1:00 into the video. She reminds me of someone and it is just so touching, I wish I could have a still image of her.

  • I agree with many here, gorgeous video to go along with a great song. The Moody Blues ROCK!!

  • SO totally rock!!!

  • The Moody Blues keep on telling the story about god's love, and Love is God

listen, we think we have found you is such a good message for the desperate and hopeless

    Moody fan 4ever

  • @Gr8daneMalta He is indeed!

  • @Gr8daneMalta

Ok, but don't just scratch the surface, their music and message goes so much deeper than God. I cut teeth on the Moody Blues in the late 60's and early 70's. Listen again, and listen often, and you will hear their real message. What do they really mean by "In Search of the Lost Chord"?

  • @Gr8daneMalta Could not agree more. The sheer beauty of it attests to the love of the Creator.

  • brilliant beautiful and amazing

  • best ever

  • Justin Hayward is just so fluid on this song. Some of his best guitar work. And you coloradream do some of the best postings. Thanks.

  • I was asleep when they put out a bad album

  • Oh wow what a lovely video to go with this lovely song. Well done

  • Man. Music doesn't get better than this!

  • You do some very fine, excellent work here! Always a pleasure to watch and listen.

  • Mine eyes have seen the Glory!

  • There is always so much more beauty to unfold, if untold eyes open to the beauty all around us.

  • "No one tells the wind which way to blow!" Go with the flow and enjoy your life but always "do it, don't doubt it"

What a beautiful flute from Ray.

  • Wake up in the morning to yourself,

Open your eyes and start to be you.

  • @coloradream

    well said...more english bards

  • Only the best from the best and that is The Moody Blues! Brilliant! And also with a gorgeous singer!

  • In the "Classic 7" (their first 7 albums) not a bad album---since then a mixed bag--some great, some real suckage. This comes from a loyal Moody Blues fan--one man's opinion

  • Did the Moody Blues put out a bad album? If they did, I have never heard it.

  • Yes! If I remember correctly, it was! THOSE were THE best concert-going daze for us all! A new day dawned!

  • The faces in the rocks at 3:48....

    Pretty strange.

Great song, one of my favorites.

  • Many faces actually .....

  • no fewer than 11....very cool

  • again, one of my favorites

  • My favorite album, along w/"To Our Children's Children's Children". And, the first time (of 50) that I saw them "live" (Philly, Sept., 1970). Will NEVER forget!

  • Was that the show the opened with Higher & Higher?

  • Who here thinks that this music and these images may lead to understanding "god"?

  • I can see how someone could be lead to the understanding that they are God. After all, what isn't God?

  • Hey Southern Belle.

Old fart here. THe Moodies are still...the Moodies. So good, and relevent after all these years.

I pray that you and your's are well.

  • Even with the Moog the Moodies are still the most original composers of this era.

They absolutely captured the human spirit just as surely as any painter, with apologies to Deep Purple.

  • the Moodies are.

from a long time ago, I still listen.

"...lovely to see you again my friend."

  • ```what inspiration they were long ago & remains with me''; ~~~peace~~~

  • The Moody Blues mean SO much to me. They will live in my heart and soul as long as I live! This song is one of their very best! Thank you for posting it.

    Love, Jusfriend

  • I've always loved music and always loved nature, so when the two combine it's so magical. I have loved The Moody Blues and Justin Hayward since I first heard them. At least once in your life-walk thru a meadow at dawn and then you'll form a deeper understanding of this song. thx dave for this.

  • More videos ,must have more videos!!

  • Beautiful song with a great video to accompany it. Thanks!

  • in my teens and life was so hard then, they helped me through

  • My god, This is what music means to me
