It's incredible how she mis-quotes Malllick, rudely interrupts her guest interviewee, makes incorrect generalizations and uninformed statements about Canada, and most disturbingly, takes a heavily biased view to the story she is supposed to be REPORTING. Umm, this article is clearly a bit satirical. And it was posted in the Viewpoint section of the CBC site. Though it's clearly not in the best of taste, the reason they allowed it was because it insights debate.
Fox did a wonderful job at pointing out this was Canada - as if that matters. CBC is a FAR better news source than any American outlets.

I use to talk down on religion all the time, but strangely when Palin came onto the national stage, people clinging onto religion doesn't bother me anymore. I started believing in the power of the 'belief' in God. I just don't want them to force it to me. Palin says her faith is personal to her and that's good. She did not ban books. There are lots of rumors spread about her that ppl like you still think they're true. It's sad. She's an amazing lady.

I am from Canada, and I never been so ashamed that my country made the news because of this. I supported Palin and McCain and I want it to be known that not all Canadians think like this. Heather Mallick was wrong to write about Palin and her family so viciously and in such vulgar terms. I was particularly upset that my tax dollars paid for this shit to be written. Now we just need to wait and see how Obama does since the better person for the job lost.

I want to make that clear: America is Canada's neighbour and ally, and even though you guys down south may frustrate us at times, you will remain our neighbour and ally. oh the irony of fox news accusing any other news source of bias. The fact is that, broadly speaking, public funded broadcasters reflect the public from which they emerge and therefore their news output is often more accurate and reliable than many commercial sources. The comments posted by Heather Mallick were i agree somewhat viscious, if also somewhat tongue in cheek, but they were opinions and were expressed as such in her blog and not live on a reportedly 'fair and balanced' news report.
