  • Wow, I knew diesel parts were expensive, but thats crazy! Was hoping to see it run.

  • @More350Power I have showed a few people who deal with Yanmar generators and they said it will run fine, but just a little tired.

these engines are damn hard to kill, and this one is good for another 20 years after a good hone and head gasket replacement

  • @Aussie50 What did your dad pay for the Yamaha?

  • @Spoif $500

  • Your pop's is a brave guy racing a bike with drum brakes!! His name isn't Fred Flintstone is it? :D

  • @locouk lol drums are fine :D, not full on racing tho, just mucking around.

  • Give Pompys Boatyard in Mordialloc a call . They should have the parts for your motor.

  • @romandybala thanks man!, I will do so today!.

  • THAT MOTOR WILL RUN LIKE A DREAM. They were designed to be super low maintenance and can take a lot of abuse. Whack it back together with a bit of a buff with emery.

Off the topic a bit. How does the capillary tube on the pilot light on a central heating gas unit work . On temp. transfer or pressure buildup? Thanks

  • @romandybala yeh there isn't too much wrong, I just wanted to see if I could give it a good refresh for cheap, but thats not going to happen so it can go back as it is.

I will just buy a used rocker cover and new head gasket.

the cap tube on a gas heater is a wax stat, the pilot light heats the tip of it and the expanding pressure inside keeps the pilot on. if the pilot goes out, the stat shuts off the gas completely, as a safety mesure.

  • So what do you get for $700 when it comes to Yanmar Diesel parts anyhow? That's damned expensive for a one lung engine.

  • That fan looks pretty with the repaint.

  • Could you tell me who gave you the good parts prices please?

I need a new injector pump for one of my aircooled Yanmar clones.

Pulled it out to clean it and I'm sure i dropped something although I couldn't find anything or figure what it was but the engine refuses to start and I have worked out it's the pump not squirting fuel.

I'd love to get the thing running again.

  • @glumpy10 I got the prices from Minnards Diesel in NSW, it was trade pricing but I dunno if they could do that for just anyone.

  • ur dads a hoon

  • @mafiouso lol on bikes yer, he spends more time riding than fixing his old van up so its roadworthy :(

  • @Aussie50 you said in the title that it was a Suzuki bike, it's a Yamaha, sorry I had to say it even though it is basically irrelevant. Check the wiring harness for things earthing themselves that shouldn't be, or GFS (green fuzzy sh1t) on connectors, sounds like a massive resistance somewhere in the electrical system pulling a ton of current on the really small alternator.

  • @grassulo ah cool. I wasn't paying attention

he pulled the battery last night and its NFG, I guess it may be short or just pulling the alternator down hard.

  • bikes are to simple. wow your going all out on that a/c unit. i dont mind if its rusty looken. i gave you a tow bar for the ser1 so use it :P take you 1 hour to fit it. :D

  • shit that engine kit is almost as much as a full rebuild on my hilux engine

  • @Jaytheozzi yay. lol i still finding good price for you. just had a lot on .

  • @V8Jagnut thanks man. i know what its like!

  • lucky summer is near for you here its gone im in NY , USA and its turning to winter

  • more videos of motors taken to the limit :P awesome channel :))

  • @sleep266 don't worry, I've always got more :D

  • Sounds like UK weather...

  • *First* (Public Viewer), Shame it's a little pricey to fix :(
