Even though Al Quds was occupied he did not 1st become violent, but rather he studied in the mravelous Muslim universities. There were 70 universities in Damascus, Syria alone. So violence should be undertaken once proper education and knowledge is obtained.

It is impossible for someone to study Islam properly and come to the conclusion that Shaykh Hamza Yusuf is a fitnah to the Islamic 'aqeedah. Had you studied the development of the Islamic creed from the 6th century onwards, you would have realised that Shaykh Hamza teaches that which is established Haqq. Many people accuse this brother of wrongful things however in all the lectures I have watched, he is knowledgeable, wise in his teaching, warm, kind natured, and very well read in Quran and Sunnah, amongst other things. He has dedicated his life to learning, travelling all over the world to seek knowledge. As far as I can see, he is a blessing to our Ummah, especially our English speaking Ummah, and it truly saddens me to see people speak ill of him. Allah knows best and only Allah can judge.

The story of moses shows the amazing mercy Allah swt has for all his creation so we should have mercy for all mankind. This cannot be applied uniformly to every situation. we are ordered by Allah to fight when we are oppressed and we must fight in an HALAL manner as our prophet did and not go near haraam jihad (i.e suicide) Hanmza Yousuf is trying to negate all jihad by concentrating on the story of Moses and Haraam jihad. Ibn Taiymiyyah said in Al-Furqan PP. 44-45: "This hadith has no sources and nobody whomsoever in the field of Islamic knowledge has narrated it. My dear Lethal, there might some shade of truth to what you are saying but everybody knows that Israel already warned Hamas the inevitable if they continue sending rockets and mortars. Egypt, Jordan, KSA and other Arab leaders warned Hamas about the consequence of its actions. And war came and you witnessed how Palestinians were annihilated by Israel superiority. When you wage war, be sure to keep your casualties in minimum. But Hamas deliberately drag its people to their deaths.

When you manage a war, you have to look after your resources, your people, your capability and realistically assess what you can do. Hamas blindly provoked Israel without thinking the safety of the very people they swore to protect. Do not wage war based on Quran. Fight the jews with some common sense that will save thousands of Palestinians lives. These lives and infrastructure are your resources and failing to use them constructively will definitely a guarantee for Israel domination.

The protests you saw in the world are showcase of how hypocrite the world can be. The Arab leaders who initially opposed Hamas joined the bandwagon condemning Israel. But they were all words. Just the same, the Palestinians deaths were senselessly sacrificed in the name of freedom, jihad, liberation, etc... without any tangible proof of progress. The issue is not who did the warning and whether it was heeded or not but who set out to murder. If you want to turn reality and the truth on its head you can blame Israel, but Hamas was not butchering children in Gaza it was the Israelis. They are continually responsible for shooting children in the back and the head. PS Israel is took the land that did not belong to them and ethnically cleansed the indigenous population.

I think all Muslims can agree with me when i say that all the Arab Countries are obssesed with wealth. The only ones that care, have been defeated (Egypt,etc). In other words, we are alone. If we fight Israel, we are fighting many countries that back Israel (US). We NEED diplomatic resolutions like the 2 State Resolution. May Allah help the Muslims.

What you don't understand is that Israel is OCCUPYING Palestine. Here is my proof. Definition of Occupation- the control of a country by military forces of a foreign power. Palestine was considered a country in the early 1900's. So it qualifies. Palestine is being controlled. Its waters, its borders, its airspace, all controlled by Israel. @passthechutney yes but does Hamas have to be violent. Hamza Yusuf spoke of how Saladin, the famous liberator of Jerusalem, even when Al Quds was occupied he went and studied. Even though Al Quds was occupied he did not 1st become violent, but rather he studied in the mravelous Muslim universities. There were 70 universities in Damascus, Syria alone. So violence should be undertaken once proper education and knowledge is obtained.

Jihad is to fight for the sake of Allah, alone. To fight with your body, money and/or invocations for those fighting with their body and money.
Jihad is a fight in which the main objective is to uphold the laws of Allah. A fight to make the word of Allah above all else and why shouldn't it be? Allah is the one who created us, it would be only fair for us to follow his word, his orders!

It is impossible for someone to study Islam properly and come to the conclusion that Shaykh Hamza Yusuf is a fitnah to the Islamic 'aqeedah. Had you studied the development of the Islamic creed from the 6th century onwards, you would have realised that Shaykh Hamza teaches that which is established Haqq. This probably means that you adopted the teachings of the very first people that taught you Islam. If I am wrong, I apologise. If I am right, then be honest to yourself for Allah's sake.

Where is our love for the Ummah when 1.5 million Iraqis dead (equal to12.5 million/5% of 250 mil US) , without rhyme or reason. Ya brother/sister, you missed the point. Since you brought up Toyota, Leonardo di Caprio drives a hybrid Prius. I deferred to Hamza before but when I realized where this guys allegiance is (not to sunnah wa jama'a)and an outright ulema'u dunya(using Islam to make a living)hence,to many Muslims he is out. God has empowered the mujahideen. It is not you and I, whom I described as "youtube jihadist",full of hot air period. We hardly wake up farj, much less, having fajr in conregation(compared to jihad). We should be ashmed!. We seat in judgement of muslims,who truely believe in Allah,His rasool and his Ummah. it's just ridiculous how you misquote those verses from the Quran... secondly you should be ashamed of yourself for calling Hamza Yusuf and charltan without backing your claim... according to Shariah you get whipped for doing that... secondly Hamza Yusuf criticizes only what is NOT Jihad... i.e. killing of women and children and Jihadists who are outside the pail of Jihad and are nothing less than murderers and thugs.
