@zhapper2002 What KaOsasisaisaisa said is INCORRECT. A vintage VIv 283 puts out enough voltage to FRY your DSLR. use it only off-camera (and not with a cord between them)

@scottidee 285hv is stronger flash power. I have three and I am going to by 5 more. Both unit work well though.  It's your choice.
