  • 16 people are heartless

  • Check out The Deep Transition on Facebook if you like this music. WE ARE VERY SIMILAR

  • Man I'm just waiting for these guys to get huge

  • this is the music that should be on the radio. none of your one direction crap.

  • theres just something about their songs that make them so addicting

  • @olhado256 why is originality so important? because being a blatant rip-off shows a lack of creativity.. but this is a good song nonetheless.

  • I absolutely love it !!!

  • I hear JAMC in the vocal tone and that unhinged guitar skree of early JAMC, but I don't think the songwriting sounds the same (very rarely, at least)... Regardless of influence/inspiration, they definitely sound both modern and genuine.

  • this song kinda sounds like mercy arms- kept low

  • one if their other tunes"Ego Death" is a real aggressive mutha.... a sonic battering ....in a good way ....great vid too

  • APTBS have a hardcore tech edge on shoegaze right now. if only they could get over the JAMC songwriting. but i could let my head explode to this all day. love to see them live.

  • new order

  • I see a lot of "The Edge" in his playing!

  • I love this band with a passion<3

  • Love this track

  • this is so awesome. reminds me of Jesus & Mary Chain mixed with Kill For Total Peace.

  • their best song

  • does anyone have this tabbed out on guitar?

  • @joshcaprai Well there is an acoustic version of this song somewhere on youtube. It may help tabbing it.

  • @antyplastyka I watched it and it kind of helped but it's still kind of off when I play it.

  • very good bochinche noise

  • Distortion for your lifes

  • this fucking sucks, and shoegaze fucking sucks. eat shit and die.

  • @deerdancedeity Lil Wayne has you strung up, you puppet.

  • @deerdancedeity Cry about it on the internet :]

  • I think these guys are brilliant and I love the 80s-90s dark new wave resurgence. I mean I can't actually get in a time machine and go see Cocteau Twins in the 80s, Love and Rockets, Bauhaus, or others who..... but I did see these guys live, I think my face is still slightly melted from awesome.

    I like em'

  • What a f.... great song

  • What a fucking great song

  • en nog meer

  • I guess the thing here is that, unlike other bands who were influenced by Joy Division (like Interpol), these guys are actually good. It's okay to be influenced by other bands and build on that as long as it's good. These guys are good. Interpol (and all the rest)? Not so much.

  • Seeing as how Joy Division hasn't been around for like EVER, don't we deserve some new music that's in that vein?

    I think so.

  • originality is what makes the group.

otherwise it would all sound the same...and quite boring.

Imaging a world where everybody dressed the same way, ate the same things and ALL MUSIC SOUNDED THE SAME...wouldn't that world be boring? So along comes a group that sounds completely different from others...they are original!!

  • Who's ripping on who? Who's copying who? Who...who...who..whoooo really gives a fuck? Honestly? Anybody who really cares what some hipster, wannabe's opinion of real originality is, raise your digital hand and say "I'.. if not then the court of extreme justice in regards to fucking awesome rock n roll rules in favor of A Place to Bury Strangers, and awards them the full proceeds of haters failing miserably to seem cool.. and grants them permission to continue Rocking the Fuck out \APTBS/

  • Love this SO MUCH.

  • @scrondle I to have fallen madly and deeply and passionately in love with this band and every conceptual musical chord that goes along with it.. I am surely there with you.. blessings

  • Why can't I make a comment you bastard machine!

  • @steveobie1 because, your emotional response and love and appreciation of this music far goes beyond any words you would possibly be able to utilize to thoroughly explain your enjoyment of this track... fuck the machine my dear friend..fuck the machine!! salutes!!

  • @microscepter

Fuck me....it took me ages to work out what the fuck you were on about....but....yeah! Fuck the machine! ........... Love this track......but, 'Microscepter', steady with the drugs, okay?......Oh, I just read your most recent comment.....looks like my advice came a tad too late!

  • @micr@microscepter

Fuck me....it took me ages to work out what the fuck you were on about....but....yeah! Fuck the machine! ........... Love this track......but, 'Microscepter', steady with the drugs, okay?......Oh, I just read your most recent comment.....looks like my advice came a tad too late!........post, you fucker...post!oscepter

  • People should listen to what they want and not be criticised. We all have our own taste which makes us unique. If you don't like what I like then don't tell me.

  • @c0rnf1ake Exactly, individuals perceive their own designed conception of what uniqueness is.. I totally agree that in essence we are all parts of the system of life, and we all contribute differently, effectively and just as beautifully original as the next contributor.. and what makes us different is what will be our salvation in the end, if we see past the mediocre prejudices the machine has brainwashed us into believing

  • You've gotta realize while we got to experience the early 80's and the great post punk bands that came from it, a lot of people didn't. Why deprive them of that experience because they weren't lucky enough to grow up during that time? I say keep creating those 80's post punk bands. Joy Division had an amazing sound and will always be the godfathers but, Joy Division is gone and never coming back. Don't let the sound die too.

  • Enjoying music from the past neither makes us closed to the present nor the future. We can like every f*cking good band as this one, for example! Now I'd like to present you the band that I'm actually playing: Modern Walls. You can find us on Myspace or Twitter as well.

  • interesante...

  • 80s sound baby !!! fabulous.... glad to hear real music again .....

  • @xadiko69 the 80's never sounded like this... but i kinda know what you mean.

  • @AceTurbo1 excuse me u have to lessen to joy division-echo and the bunnymen-early new order-early the cure-flesh 4 lulu- and then tell where they got the sound ! totally 80s yeah!

  • APTBS are rapidly becoming one of my new favourite bands. I will have to get this album.

  • Kommataraaaa afierwmeno ston erwta ths zwhs mou G

  • I agree. They were just here n Minneapolis a few days ago opening for the Big Pink and they were so awesome live. They're the loudest band I've heard in ages. The audience was cringing away from feedback of Olivers' guitar at the end of their set. It was funny.....

  • such a great band... they totally trigger that feeling i had back in the 90s back in college.... that 90s UK sound JAMC, Curve..... LOVE IT

  • well put Olhado. I full-heartedly agree.

  • @Olhado256

i agree, i started liking this band not too long ago and they came to my town, Atlanta, and they put on one hell of a show, stage presence was amazing! So loud, so creepy and mind blowing. I really got into the show, then i turn around and see a bunch of ray ban, scarf, tight v-neck wearing hipsters just folding their arms and just watching with blank stares. wtf!?

  • @Olhado256 that comment is a total rip off of what xxxOriginalPosterxxx put up back in the day. Soooo not cool. lol

  • @Olhado256 well said. i love the fact that they sound like joy division, awesome music here. let's enjoy the music is well said.

  • @Olhado256

Amen, there's no such thing as originality.

  • @poppinfresh Im not arguing. But how can there not be originallity? Surely nothing new would get invented if it wasnt for that...last time I checked new things do get invented still. So uhh?

  • @c0rnf1ake to nobody in particular.. I'm fucking stoned, I am trying to set up a debate that is clearly unwinable.. not a word, but I believe you get my drift.. Nobody is really right after all... none of us know if theres going to be a big jolly giant happy man in the sky when we all kick the bucket, or if we just rest to bones and say our goodbyes.. in the end, what I say, or he says or you say, it doesn't matter.. as long as you enjoy the entire fucking ride.. all of your ROCK on..Triple P's

  • @Olhado256 'Fuck originality' is like saying 'fuck life, fuck creating new things'

  • @Olhado256 Preach. Nothing wrong with having good influences. To deny them is ridiculous.

  • @Olhado256 well said, from an aging 39 year old hipster, lol. These guys rule!!!

  • @Olhado256 what do yo mean? you dont appreciate people being original :S. I think it makes a nice change instead of all the people just listening to what ever is popular to blend in. A world where no1 is original would be a world that would suck

  • @c0rnf1ake I think you seriously misunderstood his point.

  • @momsbluedress apparently so :P

  • @c0rnf1ake I was going to write that recording an hour of your farts would have been original, except that John Lennon probably already did it. But seriously, I appreciate originality. What I don't appreciate is dismissing a band simply because they are not original. If it sounds good, it sounds good. Doesn't matter if it's a ripoff.

  • @Olhado256 I agree with you there! bands shouldnt have to be dissmissed cause they havent got a new twist. Sometimes though they need to sound different, like leona lewis...good singer, nice voice....but sounds like too many others to me so id rather just listen to the previous ones. Also her career is totally synthetic. But this video, i think people should like it :)

  • @Olhado256 I'm with ya on with your comment!

  • @Olhado256

Pfft, the fact that these assholes keep comparing every band to Joy Division shows you how little they know about music, since that's apparently the only post-punk band they have ever heard of

  • @Olhado256 I'm no aging hipster, but I am in my 40's and grew up in the late 70's and 80's - thank GOD for music like this. In a time where 'alternative' is a joke, this and many more redeem it.

  • @Olhado256 It's natural to have influences. Most bands into similar stuff will talk shop every chance they get. I think the problem lies with certain folks crying "ripoff!" when a good band takes in what has touched them and filtered it through their own personality. I hear plenty of bands doing exciting things with aspects of ideas that have been explored before (just as those artists did the same for what excited them at the time), and I'm damn happy to have the new music!

  • @Olhado256 well said !!! I couldnt agree with you more !!!

  • @Olhado256 WORD.

  • CRAZY SONG

  • noise!!!

  • These guys are brilliant.

  • joy division!

  • jesus and mary chain?

  • definitivamente la tendencia es a lo retro!!

  • the intro actually reminds me of bauhaus' first disc

  • As people have asked. I did listen. This and the rest of thier stuff is "PRETTY ALRIGHT"

  • ^__________________^

  • I gotta admit, the intro made me think of the Sex Gang Children! APTBS is awesome!

  • listening to this 20 years after MBV "Loveless" almost made me cry for joy

  • this reminded me too of MBV but not the Loveless album actually, it reminded me more of Isn't Anything...

  • yeah, and even more of Jesus And Mary Chain... i'm just happy that after twenty years someone's still playing fucking well my favourite genre ;)

  • sadly true, but I try to enjoy this kind of "revival" bands; sometime they do well...for example A Place to Bury Strangers sounds a lot like Jesus and Mary Chain, but i still enjoy them.....i wonder if we'll have sometime a new brit genre, hard to say with all that greed into music

  • Um, even in the '80s, pop music was recycling itself. All the shoegaze/dream pop bands from the era were all reinventing what bands like The Velvet Underground and many other psychedelic//space/garage rock bands were doing in the '60s. Go listen to Jesus and Mary Chain, then go listen to The Electric Prunes (or The Smiths, then Love/The Byrds) and you'll see what I mean.

  • Death Cab For Cutie (band in the 2000s) sounds almost exactly like The Smiths, from what, the 60s, 70s?

  • the smiths were the early 80's

  • I love,Love ,LOVE these guys ! They remind me a bit of old Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. The drums on this song remind me of GENERATION by RLYL.

  • I second that notion eoinposse... I've loved this band for years and I always said it's like a cross between Jesus and the Mary Chain and Joy division... you just have to listen to 'just like honey' to notice it... 127stv, stop being such a pretentious goth (that's my job) and just state that it's not your cup o' tea

  • You're right.

  • @127stv Get a fucking life or stick to your fucking Whigfield tapes.

  • instafav'd

  • Great song.

  • Takes me back to mid-80's Xymox mixed with Jesus and Mary Chain. Great stuff!

  • when i first heard these guys i sorta thought of early cure, after seeing this vid, parts of it kinda reminds me of the boys don't cry video. great stuff~~~!!!

  • I love this song and starting to love this band.

  • Coolest band name ever.

  • holy cow! who would of thought, a few hours of illegal downloading would lead me to embark on a musical journey to a place to bury strangers!

  • Discovered their music about an hour ago. Amazing! I never really was into this type of music, but A Place To Bury Strangers has really hit me straight through the heart!

  • amazing!!!!!!! they sound like dark 80's rock!!! mmmmm... <3<3
