" No it's not weed " . when I saw the bag I thought it was a big bag of weed before you said that line . Is it medicinal grass ? J/K . Nice haul lad . You have some work ahead of you , and I am looking forward to the finished product . ....Make that all grain double IPA lad . Cheers , happy birthday and wonderful gear .
@Ushly LOL--it's so true. I knew that is what it looked like, so I had to say it! :-) At any rate, I definitely have enough hops now to do some really good IPA's and double IPA's. And all sorts of other things really. I know my girlfriend will be happy once I start using them, because they're taking up most of the freezer right now... Thanks for your kind words and for the birthday wishes. Cheers, friend!
@Tsalts I actually used to live on the north side of Chicago--but just recently moved out into a nearby suburb. I definitely like having more space--it's probably the only reason I considered upping my AG supplies. But, I do have friends in the city that did AG brewing, so it can be done--it's just a matter of figuring out how on earth to store all the equipment when not in use! Cheers!
Dude, you just left me in the dust!!! It's good though, because your pioneering helped get me through the first batch. I'm looking forward to seeing where it takes you and I will, no doubt, be treading in your footsteps in the future.
@TheThornton33 Rock on! Yeah--I've got my work cut out for me. I hadn't really planned on getting all this for a while, so now that it's here I've got some serious work to do! I'm very happy to have you backing me--you can pick me up when I'm passed out at the side of the road wondering why on Earth I ever got started in this hobby... :-D Cheers, friend!
Good stuff! your girlfriend is awesome, if your looking for a more comprehensive book on every style of brewing let me know my book is not near me right now but once I have it I'll PM you with the details on it if your interested. today I think Its time to bottle my chocolate stout. I will also let you know results and how to make it.
@casualtiesofpunk Awesome! Sounds quite tasty! I like the Young's chocolate stout, and have though of maybe brewing a batch one of these days. Not sure if I could drink the entire batch by myself though--might need help with that one. Cheers!
@1979timdog Thanks! I was totally pumped, and still am about it all. I've had so many things going on, I really haven't had much time to sit down and play with them all. I have however force carbed some sarsaparilla... Delicious!
@Imasofat LOL--my girlfriend saw your comment and LOVED it! Thank you for the kind words--I'm really looking forward to putting the equipment to good use. Especially those kegs... hehehehe.....
@CraigTube Thanks Craig! And again, thank YOU for helping me jump head first into home brewing. It was your vids that inspired me to get started, and for that I'm very, very grateful. Cheers, Friend!
TSA is going to wet his pants when he sees your haul.Especially when he finds out how much you paid for it all. Good on ya kid. I'm expecting some award winning brews. Super!!
@faroutadventures haha--thanks! I'm looking forward to diving head first into it as soon a I learn a bit more about the process. I'm especially looking forward to the tastings.... Mmmmmmm.... beeeeerrrr....... :-)
Awesome! Can't wait. You are exactly what the YouTube/Homebrewing community needed. No bashing, no trolling, just great videos with good information.
You should also check out How To Brew by John Palmer BTW. I read the 1st edition free online. But the 3rd edition is supposed to be a bit better. I am going to order it myself.
@PeiHomeBrewer Thanks PEI! I really appreciate your kind words and how you've helped spread my channel to your subscribers too. I think with some good community and communication, we can all learn so, so much. I've actually read some of Palmer's book online, but was thinking of ordering one of the newer editions myself. I'm currently reading "The Complete Joy of Home Brewing" by Charlie Papazian--so Palmer's book will be next on my list. Thank you again, Friend. Cheers!
@mackinnon182 Thank you! I'm definitely having fun with it already--so much to experiment with and learn. Hopefully I'll be able to post a new vid soon with it all. Cheers!
@Intoxilyzer5000 LOL, he will really piss his pants when Joe makes partner before he does. I already gave Joe a shout out before, I think we all should to get his sub count up, because he deserves it.
@PeiHomeBrewer I tell you PEI--you rock! Thank you so much for supporting me and my videos! It is really, honestly appreciated. To be honest--I love helping folks out and showing them what ropes I know. I know I've got a ton to learn, especially before jumping into AG brewing--and I'm really excited to share it with everyone here on YouTube as I go through the process. Cheers, friend!
Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday! What a sweet haul for a great guy. Wonder what will be going in your brew pot, mwahahaha. Remember, chain saws and propane don't mix. As for the bloopers.... java stout, LOL!!! Thanks!
@steeljan Thanks Jan! Haha--it's so true--chainsaws and propane don't mix... But some of my haunt friends would argue that chainsaws and homebrew mix perfectly... What a motley crew! :-) And yes--maybe one too many stouts were had by this point.... but it was pretty humorous if I do say so myself! Cheers!
Thats so cool, can't wait to follow you through the all grain. My B-day is next week and my wife said anything I want...... Maybe it's time I moved up to all grain.. Nice vid Joe...Aloha
@crazybrody06 Thank you! It was pretty crazy--and they're all in really good shape. I want to use them soon, so I need to do some research and see what I can cook up! Cheers!
@benxjamin It was an incredibly lucky set of circumstances--plus having a rock star girlfriend! Now I need to come up with some cash to get the fridge/freezer! Cheers!
What a haul, Joe!! You need to marry this wonderful girl of yours!!!!
Cheers!!
