  • Selling out? Piss off. There are only two bands allowed to make the same record over and over again... AC/DC and Motorhead. Everyone evolves musically and moves in different directions, whether you like it or not. Personally, I'm happy they can live in nice houses and eat three meals a day... but I guess you'd be happier if they were near starvation and miserable. I repeat... piss off.

  • On another note of selling out, i don't get why old biffy fans say they changed their sound & went more poppy with it. Like this tune is easily amongst their top pop/punkish sort of tunes (glitter and trauma too). They still have some heavy hitters on their new stuff, That Golden Rule is like the heaviest rock guitar since 57.

  • Video...WTF?

  • Does anyone know what timing this song is in?

  • @mrperson475 4:4 for the most part....i think....im not all that musical but i have rhythm!!

  • @BowerBomB 8:8

  • @GamesAndMusic2009 not much of a difference. just ones faster than the other.

  • @pedro911212 no just faster, its more beats per bar, which gives room for more crazy riffage from these well groomed beasts

  • @GamesAndMusic2009 What on earth are you talking about? It's in 4:4.

  • @GamesAndMusic2009 Please... don't pretend to be an expert in subject you clearly know nothing about lol... it's in 4/4. No arguments. None. There is a heavy emphasis on the quarter note beat throughout this entire song. Start to finish..... Oh... and what a great song it is as well XD

  • My band is going to cover this song :)

  • Ben<3

  • *insert pathetic childish comment about hating new fans, selling out and so on because I can't get laid

  • this video is totally stolen from Lazy Line Painter Jane

  • MTV2 in these days was the win.

  • back in the day when mtv played music?

  • Just because they have had massive success doesn't mean they have sold out, That Golden Rule could have gone on any f ther albums for example

  • All goo bands will go mainstream, especially if they started indie as they get inspiration from alternative music till it gets to its best then everyone loves them :)

  • MON THE BIFFY!!!!

having massive success is not the same as being "sold out". what a bunch of imbeciles. At least there is a chance to see them abroad now

  • I like how there are so many people on here saying that biffy are still good. Usually theres videos flooded with people saying "Biffy a shite now that they're mainstream." Yes they are mainstream & they are mainstream for a reason. They are a fucking awesome band that people like to listen to. Don't get me wrong, I think a lot of mainstream sucks but obviously they're doing something right. If people don't listen to it then it won't go mainstream. It's good that they've made it this far. end of.

  • Im really glad new fans are looking back through biffys albums! you will be rewarded!

  • The reason why I'm listening to this brilliant song is because I bought The Vertigo of Bliss. I bought this on the strength of Only Revolutions, which my sister bought long before Matt Cardle's take on Many of Horror. All the elitists can hereby fuck off. You have a lot to thank Only Revolutions for; it may be a departure from their old sound, but it's brought Biffy Clyro to a lot of people who otherwise wouldn't have bothered with them.

  • @volvomantom aye and it was fucking better that way, cause we wouldn't have all the fags saying ohhh i love biffy HE'S so cool! fuck off, we want real biffy back!

  • If Biffy hadn't "sold out" a lot of you "true fans" wouldn't be here commenting as you'd have never heard of them

  • The reason why simon neil is actually in a wheelchair, is because, the day before this was produced and recorded, simon jumped off the PA system at a gig and broke his foot! Unlucky Simon.

  • anal beard

  • This is old Biffy, but it's actually quite a lot like their new stuff, in genre I mean.

TBH, I don't really care. ALL Biffy is AWESOME

  • I love The Vertigo of Bliss! It's amazing.

  • why complain about biffy becoming big as a musician its what you want

  • Also, I'm only aware bands sell out if they follow a current trend instead of following their own style/making a new one.

Biffy still don't sound like anyone, like they haven't since the day they started.

  • There are more fake indie bands out nowadays than mainstream ones.

Most of NME sound the same, boring musi. Biff get played on Radio 1 and commercial radio/tv, but they sound like no other.

As long as a band has substance who cares? Let us not forget, the biggest band ever, The Beatles, will you condemn them because people like them, no because they had something. There is a different between popular and fake. There are fake people in alternative scenes and the mainstream.

  • This song's okay, the best thing about it is Simon Neil<3 xxxx

  • @MissNothing09 You know how big biffy are getting when comments like this start getting posted on 90% of their videos.

  • @Doady1337 What do you mean?

  • @MissNothing09 you're so right!! i dont like people who only listen to a band just because of the band members! teen girls are the worst ones..this music is to good for them! MON THE BIFFY

  • @rockgway Teen girls appreciate good music better than anyone. If performers are stunning sexy as well, what do you expect them to feel?Might go into emotional meltdown- doesn't mean their ears shut down.

  • get to fuck with all this biffy sell out stuff, theyve got bigger, undertsnadably, there music is still brilliant, they still put on one of the ebst live shows i have ever seen, because theyve hit the mainstream doesnt in any means make them sellouts

  • I love how he broke his foot the night before shooting this video and they had to write in the 'falling-in-the-bathroom' bit to cover it!

  • I do much prefer their old stuff, like this.

  • I like this song....its different =) MON THE BIFF!

  • Apparently they recorded nearly all of vertigo of bliss in 1 day and played computer games while they still had the studio :L

There's an interview about it somewhere here on youtube

  • 3 People haven't found the great answer to their great questions :(

  • HAHA!

the 3 people out of 228, Are stupid for not liking this video,

The effects are awesome and The songs just AMAZING!

  • love that song xoxo

  • this is sincerely the best music video ever made by anyone ever. Amen.

  • this is sincerely the best music video ever made by anyone ever. Amen.

  • this is sincerely the best music video ever made by anyone ever. Amen.

  • Sell outs? My ass.

  • proper biffy i love it

  • Biffy didnt sell out, now please just enjoy the music ppl!

  • I love the fact Simon had a broken foot and still did the video :') haha

  • I dont think they've sold out because they've made money, I just struggle to believe that their latest album is anything but shit. Puzzle has some catchy good tunes, this one specifically I really like, but... oh my god so many bad songs on the newest album in my opinion.

  • @Predator1118 this wasn't on puzzle it was on vertigo of bliss..

  • sell outs but sure cant blame em when it comes to money wouldnt everyone suck the corporate cock?

  • only good 1 they have done

  • Biffy? Sold out?

How dare they make money and get Radio airtime! They're MY band, not anyone elses. They're not allowed to try and appeal to anyone else cos I bought their albums before anyone cared about them! >:(

Dammit, nobody else should be allowed enjoy their music cos i liked them first!

Or realistically I'll enjoy the fact that others can enjoy sucj beautiful lyrics from now and then.

Piss off haters, they own Biffy, not you!

  • @lordofcavan

sweet post :P i agree 1000% i only heard of biffy after Only Revelations came out and became a big deal, not because i didnt like their earlier stuff i just hadnt heard any of their other stuff before, but now i have discovered them im going back and listening to their earlier stuff.

Discovering new music is a thrill. Whether we discover them when their first starting out or not it doesnt matter

Shouldnt we all be celebrating biffys new success? isnt that what true fans should do?

  • Beast

  • we've got all these great answers, to all these great questions..

lol i love this song, and i love biffy, but to be honest i don't think the vertigo of bliss was one of their best albums. but don't get me wrong i love them! and some of the song on vertigo of bliss are awesome; like this one :)

  • @AlexDJames

Yeah, his ankle was broken from a gig the night before, because during the tour he'd been jumping off the pa system every night, and on the last night the pa system was the largest, and there was nowhere to land

  • Lol at the end there is Simon Jesus?

  • @Lola13694 i personally have no doubts tha Simon trully is Jesus :)

  • If they're sold out i'm one of the ones who helped that happen :D going to see them in november!!

  • Why don't they write songs like this anymore. New stuff is just Foo Fighters b-sides

  • I dont think Biffy sold out i think what they did was change there song structure from songs with a mixture of slow and heavy bits, to slow songs and well..kinda heavy songs.

Whatever the case thou, mon the biff!!!

  • What a great song. I go to sleep listening to the Vertgo of Bliss and Infinity Land on repeat because they make me so happy (: Mon the Biffy!

  • think this was the first biffy song i ever heard! LOVE IT

  • R I P cobain....1 million thumbs up, ok thanks....lol

  • Nice song and nice video

  • makinaaassssss

  • how long have biffy been going, il admit ive only heard new stuff on the tv, but i want to hear more, i love them

  • @1StEp2FaR4 ---definitly do!!!! they're brilliant and they're one of my favorite bands now. only have been listing to them for the past year or so. Now I've all their back albums and their older stuff is just as good or even better! And they're amazing live! sorry bout the rant..... its worth investing in their music ;) And Marmaduke Duke is a side project of Simon Neil and they've got some catchy tunes too.

  • bit like snow patrol this song is ,,, love it though !!! :) x

  • @SaintRory plz die

  • Brilliant Video i love all the drawing stuff

  • I'm sure his foot was actually broken for this video because he jumped off a pa system and when he landed he snapped his ankle

  • All i have to say is Mon The Biffy. Just such a fucking awesome band

  • that uses guitar Neil Simon (singer) in the single

    an Epiphone?

    or

    G6136DC Gretsch White Falcon?

  • those are water balloons buddy

  • reskabes

  • awh i love this song so much :) biffy are just amazing :)

  • I feel sorry for the kids at the end, they must've felt like right bastards pelting a man in a wheelchair with tomatoes.

  • its england mate, they were probably wondering "why are we using tomatoes?"

they are more used to grenades and knifes haha

  • @mtmo25 Scotland bro

  • By England i meant UK haha sorry matey

  • off the wall but brillisnt video MON THE BIFFY!!

  • this is my way of checking if they've sold out, I just ask myself, is it still good? Well it's Biffy so yes. Is it more acessible? Yes, but that is a sign of growing musicianship. Was it written by Biffy. Yes, so of course they haven't sold out they're fucking brilliant and anything they do should be considered the word of God, they haven't sold out, so what's with all the butt-hurt? they are still the same brilliant trio they've always been.

  • @APBBMBVLB hell yeah!!!! MON THE BIFFY!!!!

  • @APBBMBVLB WORD!

  • @APBBMBVLB People just mad cause there popular and have to share em with the masses. Well said i agree 100%

  • @APBBMBVLB there like the only band over 5 years old that haven't changed thier sound which is good

  • @APBBMBVLB i love them man but sadly they sold out when they let xfactor destry meny of horros

  • @camdash does that mean that the English language sold out when it let you destroy it?

  • @flagoogin thats it bring the imature slagings coz u dont like what i said lol

dont get me wrong iv been a fa of biffy since the beging and i will always be a fan but. when u say that u stand for one thing then do a outher its selling out

  • Comment removed

  • @camdash Even they've admitted that was a bad desicion, but they're nice guys and thought why not let him, and then they were dissapointed when he added his own little twists like a whole key change etc.

  • @Olie23231 i know man i love biffy people seam to be missing my point thogh lol

they said that they hate the hole gineric xfactor pop music that all soulnds the same

then next thing you know is matt cradel is covering a song they changed the name the music changed and they added the hole fake emotional scream thats at the end of every xfactor related song lol

  • @camdash Ye well now they know they hated it and they wished they hadn't done it. They've learnt from their mistakes the same as you and I have

  • @Olie23231 ken there still an amsing band long live biffy

  • This song got me into the Biff. All the miserable sods who say they've sold out recently, this is a perfectly accessible, radio friendly pop song. I've always wondered why 57 didn't break them widely also. There's always been a commercial band ready to come out. Good luck to em.

  • Have people been saying they've sold out? I thought their new album is one of their best so far

  • On a lot of their vids people have been having a go. I'd find it impossible to rank the albums, sign of a brilliant band.

  • It's not even commericial. Successful I think's a better term. They've always been an amazing band so they deserve the perks of being a well known band.

  • i agree to an extent but i think what these fans are pissed at is the fact that biff stick to what seems like a formula. listen to any new song and you got 'intro quiet loud quiet loud louder outro'. the reason they didnt pick up around this era or 57 as you say is because those two songs weren't the norm of what they were playing. this song isnt hugely consistent with the rest of vertigo, for example. not having a go at all. just explaining.

  • @munckymagic well said m8 (:

  • Everyone is mentioning how the broken foot is real. I guess you just watched the vid from Radio one where he explains that?

  • The broken foot happened the night before at a gig when he fell into the crowd

  • @08Hattie correction! he jumped off an amp and landed awkwardly and broke his foot

  • this was filmed in london, the broken foot was real aswell lool biffy fo life

  • i played pool against these guys b4 a gig in orkney i beat the singer nd drummer but the bassist chinese snookered me on the black nd won the game.great bunch of lads nd they were not up their own arses like a lot of artists

  • i love how he had to shoot this video with a broken foot, shows his dedication lol.

i feel so sorry for him, wat a guy.

i think it was shot in london someone told me for the person who asked.

  • Arrrr.... back in the day :) buying this on 7" from Virgin. Think Biffy should take more advantage of the sound of the old days.

  • the twins are form kilmarnock (disgusting place) and simons from Ayr (epic place) there on the west coast near glasgow

  • I'll need to put my cover of this up on youtube sometime. Great tune.

  • haha guy in a bush 3:05

  • Poor Simon and all but...........has anyone seen the keepie uppie clip??? That is impressive

  • where is it?

  • i seen the keepie uppie clip:) was good likes! playing his geetar at the same time too, awesome :)

  • I saw that on the live lounge too, lol, poor simon. Imagine working so hard that you even have to do it when you have a broken foot.

  • i see somebodys been watching the live lounge

  • the reason hes in a wheelchair in this is cause he broke his foot the day before the video shoot, he jumped off the pa and nailed himself during a gig and had to be carried off stage. aww simon (L):L

  • BIG TUNE

  • sonic youth kinda vibe

  • Nah - these guys are sincere.

  • I got into them through infinity land, its a really good album

  • Wow this is awesome, need to start buying some old biffy xD

  • you really do need to buy old biffy, soooooo much better than what they have out the now. dont get me wrong i like puzzle but it doesnt even come close to this or stuff from Blackened Sky

  • this song is just lush i love his voice

  • This song never gets old!! lavv it :)

and yes Simon is a babe. Yum!!

  • This reminds me of the early Belle & Sebastian videos in style.

  • Fok ye =] I have an opinion...I'm expressing it :P I never said I didn't like them...I just said I didn't like this song :)

My fav Biffy song although they have so many great songs!

  • thankyou, yeah I agree they do have many good'uns

  • Comment removed

  • my favourite thing about this video is that one of the little kids is wearing my old school's uniform, the Appleton school, in benfleet, essex... but the video isn't shot there. so a fantastic scottish band travel to essex just to steal a child and then go film somewhere else! haha truely classic... amazing song tho. this is what hooked me on them

  • yeh what a dick!

  • mon the biffy ayyeee.. the guy below me is probabaly a tw*t

  • what a fool, every one point and laugh at "drdoomandchums"

    ----> hahaha

  • You music ignorant cunt. Tenner bet this guy hasnt heard any other song apart from this.

Stupid fuck, i bet you listen to the venga boys. Cunt.

  • first biffy song i heard, been hooked ever since :)

  • man i love this

  • gosh, biffy...so so amazing

  • I love biffy clyro there just way too good

  • I love old Biffy Clyro!!...

  • i hope the new album is better than puzzle!

  • i agree - though its the album that got me into them it is far inferior to the others - infinity land all the way!

  • i love the vertigo of bliss! thats my fave. MON THE BIFF!

  • although i havent had any of the other albums i love puzzle, dont see why so many people have a problem with it

  • it just pales in comparison to the first three albums. especially vertigo of bliss which i'd say is probably the best of the three. if puzzle was their first outing, it'd be amazing, but because it's just not as good, it get's bad reviews. don't get me wrong, i think it's very good. just not as good as the others.

  • I almost fully agree mcspolif, but I'd say Infinity Land has the edge over Vertigo of Bliss

  • TRAITORS! Blackened Sky is truly the best.

  • yeeeah i agree with Sgt

  • True story. True story....

  • the great video...soprattutto quando si cambiano in mezzo alla strada

  • wot a random/cool vid

  • This is on the only biffy album i dont have, i need to save up and get it

  • the boy in the red jumper is a boy i know from my school

  • Have to say I love this video!

  • This song proves that old skool Biffy is much better than the newer stuff. Period!

  • If you were a true Biffy fan, you would love ALL their songs...

  • Did i say i was a biffy fan????????????

  • sorry, i'm a retard, why do people say "period" after they say something?? i just dont get it what does it mean?? lol :$
