  • iwant!

  • im excited for thisss :DDDDDDDD

  • Im sure that this is what people want , instead of netbook and desktop . Assessing these tablet is easier than to on your laptop in the middle of your bus trip .

  • Too bad I only have an iPad with iOS 5.I like windows better.

  • I want a tablet pc!

  • i dont have messaging,calender,communication apps

  • This is the future of computers! Pretty cool stuff. I think Apple really missed the mark on the ipad, which was basically just a giant ipod touch. A full powered computer in a tablet though... pretty awesome

  • I did boycott windows vista and 7 by going to mac but I have to say I think they are starting to fix the major leaks that those OS' had and may redefine the basics of the gui of an OS, pretty exiting stuff!!

  • Intel Core i5 in a Tablet!!>?

    You Fc*ing Kidding Me! :-o

  • It's really good, I'm using it now, but it seems like it's more for netbooks and tablet PC's instead of bigger netbooks or desktops, unless you use them as media servers..

  • Finally people aren't hating on Windows 8

  • I want that.....not specifically that.....its a samsung.....but any tablet with win8 and a core i5.......(yah i am a windows user)

  • I'm assuming Windows Phone apps don't run on this?

  • Comment removed

  • I have the Developer Preview of windows 8 and im satisfied

  • The answer is YES. That is what I want.

  • windows have no style. i like how smooth it is but your not going to have any apps and the ones that you will have will cost more than a hooker,

  • Hey it's jim from american pie!!!

  • downloading it now!!!

  • Installing it now!

  • What are its specifications and price

  • Will windows softwares like idm, ccleaner etc work on it?

  • very very good idea.... looking for it....

  • nice tablet

  • Windows has sure as hell taken a step up from vista.

  • I downloaded the preview version. It looks sooo cool

  • Windows 8? HATE IT!

I personally do not want my PC or Laptop to look like a big windows phone. Hopefully that shell can be disabled and deleted into oblivion.

  • @PeterMarloweHDF The gates to oblivion have been closed to never be reopened again. Although there are other ways to travel to that realm I sure hope we never hear anything coming from oblivion again, it shouldn't happen. Now, sending an OS to oblivion sounds to me ridiculous. Really, for what purpose? Technology doesn't seem like something that would keep the daedra entertained, although maybe in some part of oblivion the dunmer do entertain daedra with their inventions!

  • I have this windows on pc works greate

  • That tablet looks epic....

  • greed just what we need another tablet

  • win8 dev preview looks all most same as win7... will there b any difference in looks when win8 comes out??

  • @sasnine11 of course it will.I am sure it will change some time at its beta stage.

  • looks nice for tablets, smartphone's, but pc

no really not, i downloaded the developer preview for pc

you can test it in a virtual machine.

  • Can't wait to get illegal copy!

  • ipad poser

  • @jacoboam How is this in any way an iPad Poser??? It's going in the complete opposite direction of the iPad. iPad has iOS; a MOBILE PHONE designed OS, this is WINDOWS, a full blown PC OS, these are OPPOSITES. Android Tablets are the iPad Posers.

  • @codnewbtuber You can download the beta now on Microsoft's official website, but believe me - IT SUCKS!!! There's no drivers available, and you can't even install your graphiccard or networkcard.

  • DudE! GoAtee!... [center] it!

  • Looks watered down to cater to tablets, not PCs. I don't need all the bullshit overlay, I just wanna sweet desktop.

  • @MarkBTW You can turn the metro interface off.

  • @wtfonme98 Yeah and then you turn it off and it's... Windows 7. They haven't showcased any features aside from the metro interface. The fact that it can run on tablets means it's watered down from Windows 7.

  • @MarkBTW They've updated the task manger and the explorer and made loads of performance upgrades.

  • @wtfonme98 Task manager looks the same. And I don't need it to be able to run on my grandma's computer. I want fantastic new features geared toward a powerhouse.

  • @MarkETS

    /watch?v=CGhOtLfbjhM

Doesn't look the same to me.

  • @microsf121 That's conceptual and not from Microsoft. Just fan-made.

  • @MarkBTW well my friend looks can be deceiving. The interface might look like the OS was watered down, but it was actually made a lot more powerful and accessible. It became a lot easier for developers, and it got a lot easier to use for consumers. The metro interface is just more touchscreen friendly because that's where microsoft wants to go. Don't think this is a light OS just because you see it on a tablet. This is just a very universal OS that supports many devices.

  • @randomlyunknown2012 Universal doesn't = powerful. And exactly, it's catered to touchscreen interface. And touchscreen desktops are more of a novelty in my opinion. I mean don't get me wrong, it looks great for tablets, I might consider buying one. But for my desktop, I don't need fat ass buttons/tiles catered to fat ass fingers.

  • on the desktop "application" the start button looks a little small for my liking

  • como se dividen las pantallas

  • It is an android clone.

  • @ejgytv No, it does not even look close to android.

  • @ejgytv WHAT?? An Android Clone? It looks NOTHING like android, its designed after Windows Phone 7; which was also not designed after andoid, this is its own game. Android is an iOS clone and visa verca, WINDOWS tablets are the ONLY ones on THEIR OWN.

  • This looks pretty awesome on a tablet, and a tablet alone. I don't see this getting very popular as a desktop OS.

  • Personally I think Windows 8 on tablets will absolutely put iOS on iPad to shame. Things like HDMI out and USB will be truly useful, not to mention the same programs running on a desktop computer will run on a tablet. Tablets are too much like large phones these days anyway as pretty much all are just ported phone OS's. Windows 8 ought to change things up a bit.

    Can't wait :)

  • Meh

  • It will be like the Zune: Late to the game and a total failure.

  • @bigsky1970

the zune hd sold mor ethan ipod touch in the us

  • go windows 8.....get the android down!!!

  • /watch?v=17hs1-L77_g A really good in depth view of this product

  • Wow!!! Impressive user experience...

  • windows tablet instead of iPad + iMac... sounds good

  • where can i get one?

  • One Person Still Prefer Vista!!!!

  • I don't like tablets but that looks pretty sweet.

  • Back in the 90's I used to laugh at people using Samsung's products, thinking me owning Nokia phones makes me cooler than them. Now a days (Having Samsung galaxy S myself) I started to look at Samsung's progress, and I must say, it's taking over many company's business's. It destroyed Nokia once and for all, it started to compete heavily against mobile manufacturing companies including apple, it's LCD TV's and screens are best sellers, and now a cutting edge Tablet PC? one word, "DAYMN".

  • @jozeaphe Oh yeah, and as for windows 8? well another one word, "BLAH".

  • i think this technology not come in pakistan today or day after tomorrow...

  • windows 7 app ?! LMFAO

  • The day win8 comes out is the day I permanently switch to Linux.

  • @Zorobyte It's your choice, and it's not like Microsoft is gonna burn to ashes when you do that.

  • i just bought a honeycomb tablet! i should have waited.

  • how will this work for laptops and desktops?

  • @TeruMikami2345 did u not see it switches to reg win desktop?

  • @rdknght17 i know that, but im talking about the other features, ihope it works kinda osx 10.7 lion where u swipe the mouse map and it goes left and right

  • @TeruMikami2345 o ya. but idk im going to be getting on a touch screen device if i end up getting it you know.

  • @rdknght17 tell me how it is

  • looks interesting

  • it has an i5.... what the hell

will wait for a 15inch laptop with kal-el with windows 8

  • Looks promising!
