Dont like this helmet, it is comfortable and looks good but the protection is outdated and not protective ive seen quite a few guys getting concussions from this helmet so id reccomend that if you do pick this helmet only use it for maybe practices or something.

What is the difference between the EPP black foam that is in helmets like the 5500, and the cellflex white foam that is in this helmet? Which one provides better protection?  Comfort isn't a concern for me, i have worn both and had no problems.

the black "bike helmet" is in theory better for concussions and serious injury, but are bulky and not as durable. this is the more traditional hockey helmet, but can be more comfortable because it is closer around the head, not as bulky. its been the top pro helmet and only gotten better on a few minor tweaks.

I have to wear a 9500 for my team this season. Im a 14-U and the 16-U team is full for next year with 93's (I'm a 94), and Im definately getting this helmet next year, if my brother takes my 8k. This helmet is dirrrrty

this is a nice helmet i took multiple shots to the head with it and i play highschool hockey so some hard shot but it did break after the fifth shot to the head
