I had Macross VFx2 for the PSX and that game was pretty forgettable. In fact other than the Macross game that AM2 I think they have all been bad. IDK bout the PSP version. Hell even Robotech games were somewhat mediocre.
It really is sad, This system was way ahead of time, I think I would be able to compete with PS2 with some a better graphics engine, it had all the features, dvd, online, the cool little memory card portable thingy, in my opions dreacast died way too soon and is still the shiznit
This game can be found on ebay for 30USD the normal version and the special limited box for 50USD,I dont have the game but this video shows the game has someting good to offer.

it's pretty fun. i am not the biggest macross fan ever but the game is great. maybe those bad reveiws were from hardcore fans who wanted better.
