  • At least the scenery is good ;)

  • yes, it is a beautiful place to drive, except the construction zones of course.

  • I think roadworks are interesting.

  • that is only because you haven't inched along in traffic thru them

  • I hate it when they block off empty lanes!

  • There's no other way.

  • Good point but it's still annoying!

  • oh they don't block empty lanes

  • They do here!

  • well.... what I meant was that they are not empty until they block them.

  • 10-4 D, I see what you mean now!

  • It was a play on words. Hey, do your road crews do any work over there in England?

  • Just asked some friends for their opinion, I tend to see then doing nothing, generally hanging around aimlessly. However on the motorways they are a lot better and tend to do a lot esp. at night. Sometimes on small roads, companies start construction and leave it for a few days for some reason. (Tea break, lol)

  • they do a lot of work at night in many urban areas however in Pennsylvania, the work zones never end and the work never starts. Cold as your neck of the woods here in upstate New York.

  • I found that out last week driving on I-78 around 1:30 AM between the Delaware River and GSP. There had to have been five or six work zones and each one was highly active. I-77 and I-81 had quite a bit of work zone activity as well in Virginia.

  • having driven in both of those areas recently, I know that summer means construction. In Virginia and Jersey they do a lot of work at night. Big benefit here in the southland as the workers stay cooler and traffic is lighter. I think it is an excellent method and I know if I worked on a road crew, I would love nights. Just to let you know I did work on a road crew before but on a township level paving back roads with oil and stones.

  • After spending a week in 95+ degree heat in Georgia, I can only imagine how harsh it would be paving during the day with those kinds of temperatures.

  • nice being here in Syracuse where temps are in the low 50's in th AM

  • hi guy,its not much better out here.they have donner and all the roads around tahoe the same way.must be two bros.selling bars.cant get away from them.drive safe.
