  • brings back the memories of the days where we would dog school get stoned and drunk in there, if it was a sunny day we would sit up the platform drinking crates a beer just keepin out the way, its hard to believe that was 6 years ago :( i even have a wee menchie at the end. wish i could go back man.

  • this pictures and my taste of music = <3

  • @clydeferries Queen's Park. Victoria Park is up near Scotstoun.

  • Great video. How did you get in? I'd be up for a bit of exploration if anyone is going.

  • @TheRJSunday Thanks, the boarding had been broken down which was the first time I've seen it going by so we went in. It has been boarded back up now though.

  • Fascinating & depressing too. Closed either by the beeching bastard or part of the closures caused by the then competition from the corporation trams.

  • 4:19

    What is that

  • how do you get in?

  • Eery, but again beautiful shots. Great camera, vg color.

  • Just think about the buzz of Glaswegian life that once passed thru this place. Fantasstic posting mate.

  • brilliant videos

  • WOW!... we lived in Cumberland Street back in the 1960's in the tenaments with the big wide pavements , a Polis Boax. Across the street , there was Hardy's car showroom and for a wee treat , we all got sent to the Bedford 'picturehoose' doon Eglington Street and , sometimes , a long walk to Victoria Park past Larkfield Bus Depot. This abandoned series evoke some good memories from childhood.

  • Again, awesome vid. Beautiful.

  • Excellent Film m8. Looked like a great place to be when it was open! 5/5

    Tam

  • Absofuckinlutely fascinatin!

  • passed that building many times having no idea what it was :D good video

  • Absultely brilliant!!!

  • Passed it many times and from the outside looks dismal. Ravages of time I guess. But the inside video you took looks fantastic. Didn't think it was that big. Wish the council would open it ot the public, after safety checks of course.

  • Excellent! Well done. Didn't know there was so much still in there. Hopefully the area will see a station again if the Crossrail scheme ever gets the go ahead.

  • Do you know about the political or economical reasons why those stations were put out of service? I've found many interesting films and photos about them, but I still can't figure out why they were abandoned, wheter they resulted too little useful or if it has been a wrong decision from the government.

Great material, abandoned places are always so fascinating!

    Greetings

  • @FalconGhia Hey FalconGuia, this station was closed as part of the famous Beeching cuts which closed several public transport service to save on costs. You can read more about it by googling the beeching cuts (YouTube won't let me post links in the comments).

  • @AbandonedScotland Hi, thanks, I guessed it would be something like that I will look for futher information now. Here in Argentina we have many railway facilities abandoned because in the ninetees railways went on private hands that privileged profitability over social benefits the railway services give.

Thanks a lot for your information!

  • Would make a very interesting conversion for a house or shop. I wonder who owns it? Pretty sure I remember Sale notices on it in the late 90s. Your thoughts?

  • @zoomer1979 I don't think there is a for sale sign outside these days zoomer but I think you're right it would be an amazing place to convert ... you never know with the regeneration of the Gorbals that could happen eventually.

  • Cracking video mate. I took my first bucket in there!

  • @eojbhoy67 Haha well I suppose that's one way to remember the place! :-P

  • Where is that from 4:18 onwards? That's certainly not Cumberland Street!

  • @EqualityScotland It's part of the above track from Cumberland Street and a couple clips from the nearby abandoned railway line across the road.
