Hiya, yes I have had heat problems. I purchased a D&D Refrigerated Cooler (model DC300) and it has been perfect ever since. The cooler is hooked up to pump 2 on the RSM 250, so the outflow from th epump goes via a tube to the cooler, and then the outflow from the cooler goes back into the rear compartment and attached to the no.2 pump jet and back into the tank. Works really well, just remember to order your hose to go with the chiller. Good luck !!
Glass Base with a plastic lip. Very impressed with the construction. Noisy - yes a little as there are quite a few fans in the hood to keep it cool...you'll need all of them to keep the temp consistent.

Very impressive. Is the bottom of the tank made of plastic or metal? Is it noisy?

I am sure you will be pleased. Not the cheapest solution, but you do get outstanding build quality and a really good integrated solution.
