Not very many -- and considering that Harper is lock-step with the Republicans these days, I have no qualms with the direct comparisons.

Seriously? The Republicans are far worse than Harper. I have more than enough issues with Harper, but he's nowhere near the Republicans in terribleness.

Excuse me, but we're talking about a guy who has openly made threats against Parliament, and is probably responsible for the torture of civilians (including Muslim Canadians who haven't actually done anything wrong).
To say that he's better the the GOP is foolish at best, flat out dishonest at worst. (and FYI the two not only have the exact same support base, but Karl Rove is/has been a consultant to the Harper Tories as well. Case closed)

YAY!!!! Very well said my friend!! I think you may have just encouraged me to write ANOTHER letter!!! Thank you for that! In my opinion we should have gone to the polls when Harper lost the confidence of the house...This second prorogation is utter B.S, and a slap in the face to all Canadians!!
