  • its actually leaving Kildare for Dublin !

  • Hello!

Are all mark 3 trains to Waterford hauled by Class 071s rather than 141s and 181s?

When did the 141s and 181s get phased out?

  • @90005NXEA mark 3 trains were hauled by 071s when the train only stopped in Hazelhatch and Celbridge or Sallins and naas. Now on the Waterford-Dublin line there is 22000 class and the mk3 sets were withdrawn November 2009 off all services. The mk2 sets were also withdrawn in February 2009 and now are all destroyed. The 201 class engines ran on the Dublin-Waterford line on the services that did not stop at Sallins or Naas or Hazelhatch.

  • the cabs are not that loud when the loco is in notch 8. plus drivers wear ear defenders just when your talkin our nearly shoutin in the cabs

  • MY. LORDS. Well, done - top thrash!

  • ha these things still run past my house..you can hear them from miilless off! how drivers stick that noise i dunno..

  • The old Sligo train pure legend ! What followed cross country commuter crap, little food, little space, narrow ironing board tables, vibrations worse thana jack hammer and the call it progress.

  • Great stuff! Not much rolling stock left where you can stand in the vestibule and bravely stick your camera out the window!

  • let me guess sligo to dublin run 071s are class
