  • There's a music that uses the delay effect perfectly, that Another Brick in The Wall part 1, it gives me the chills just to hear those notes =D

  • This is really cool, the diminished scale part is my favorite.

  • Very cool, thanks for sharing !

  • ur a funny lookin' fella

  • Reminds me of EVH's Cathedral.

    Rock on.

  • It sounds like a theme of any adventure game like mario when you enter a dungeon or something, haha, very cool!

  • Cool, you could do with some alternate picking though being constructive.. Check out Paul Gilbert's Echo Song if you havent already heard that

  • Matt Talbot! LOL f-ing funny as hell!! He looks like hes in prison

  • 0:06 reminds me of "riders on the storm" beginning :)

  • yep! because he uses the same scale

  • some bits made me think of phasers on stun by FM, only it was on a mandolin

  • Are you Matt Talbott from the band HUM?

  • loop machines are fun for guitars... tahts how i play hand of blood when im alone

  • Make a video of it please! I want to see that^^

  • Oh Yeah maan,, Oh Yeeaaahhh qanqaamm sana notum 9!!

  • lol awesome

  • Gotta love that!

  • kewel

  • echo and delay is the same effect. its just a fading looped repeat of a note you play. theres so many different types that i wont explain them all, but you should research into it...its a great effect to use when you can do it well

  • lol 0:25~ about 0:30 TOTALLY maple story

  • your right lol

  • Why would you know that?

  • haha i havent played in a while but that opening song sticks with ya

  • awesome. u could make music for simcity =p

  • jaja, you are right!!! reminds me the sim city's music!

  • watch?v=Bq0CX-jr2mA

try it its Better than this much more deep and very cool

  • nice tone and nice playing . was quite a pleasure listening to it

  • Great ! ! !

I hope you like my vid too.

    GreetZZzz Mikey

  • its easy to talk shit on a faceless forum like youtube.

where in the description does it say "amazing guitar delay effects best talent since Zack AAATTTAAACCCCKK ps please post people you think are better than me, and what genre of music is best."

no it says, "guitar delay fun"

key word is fun. and thats what music is about right?

  • right bro

  • I found it neat :).

  • Why is a guitar talent always measured depending on how fast you play and how much solos are in there??? I think that the base of a guitar player talent is his perception of playing the guitar. If he/she plays according to his/her abilites that's an accomplishment for me. Talent isn't something that you download tabs for it and make tribute and then jam all day with Dream Theater. That's someone else's work and was not in any way your idea in first place.

    Just my 2 cents...

  • agreeeee

  • Totally agree!!

  • @seasonedtoker - It ain't your 2 cents. It's ours.

  • @seasonedtoker people are just stupid. the ones that arnt "aware" of the situation or even HOW to play, they just think that the crazier you are, the better you are, dragonforce being a PRIME example, they just play fuck loads of notes in like 3 seconds, and then the song itself is usualy like 5 or 6 minutes long...ehh a couple notes too many if ya ask me. a PERFECT example of how LITTLE you really have to play to get someones attention at how good you are, "maria" from santana! simple n good!!

  • VERY NICE!

  • yea id have to say just because it takes no talent or your not good dosnt mean that you cant make music and have it sound good most artist can pic up anything and make it sound good

  • i like doing stuff like this. slowing down is fun sometimes

  • parkster55.... im sorry but do you even know what your talking about?

Or are you one of those 12 year old kids that think that just because its not hard fast rock it takes no talent and "you could easaly do it"

you try and then come back and talk.

i personaly liked it. it was different.

  • I think you are right. It's very cool music and nice guitar playing isn't all about how fast you can play like those new guitarist who loves to tap 300 notes in a minute. The real cool music is things like... Hmm what shall we say. I like the good old rock Mountain. The Mississippi queen. THat's real rock :D

  • Yeah it could be, but dont forget the real talents, Hendrix, Stevie Ray and well my personal favourite here on youtube, Mattrach! :)

    Peace!

  • it sounds like a slow verson of buckthead's big sur moon

  • Thats what I was thinking.

  • creative application

  • what is the scale of 1:09-1:40??

    I couldn't hear you saying...

  • Whole-tone scale. Cool scale, eh?

  • totaly!

I've heard it before, but I forgot to try to find out what scale was...

    Now I know! :]

    thanks!

  • please tell me the scale you are using in 0:05-0:11 thanks!

  • Dorian

  • thanks, your a great player

  • Very cool. Cheers. I posted a vid like this...but more of a VH style chord thing. Delays can be a great tool for song ideas. In my vid I also did the Pink Floyd Run riff. Please check it out. You rock bro :)

  • Are you joe walsh?

  • Haha, no, I am not Joe Walsh!

  • dont check out buckethead, he's a joke... He wouldnt be anyone without his bucket... on his head... and nunchucks

  • hello dude!!!

nice playing...I would like to know which delay was that?

is it a boss DD3 or EH #1

    thanks

  • It was the delay that is built in to the amp, the Vox AD50VT.

  • dude was that Buckethead's Big Sur Moon i heard

  • No. I have never heard Buckethead - I'll have to check him out.

  • it starts at :20 then ends at :32

  • No, but Buckethead does use delay in that song. It's a beautiful piece. I suggest everyone checks that out. He's got some amazing live versions.

  • kore wa watishi no mono desu!!!

  • thats super cool!

  • I love it! You got into some Frippish territory.

    5 stars

  • sa fou le blaz sa music c dla merde

  • reminds me of pink floyd

  • Hey Rotren , dude this is amazing , i love it !!! damn you now that i just watched your vid i need to save up some money :D

  • Very nice. cut the time between delay so you change picking speeds ala Albert Lee. I used to play with the delay so short I would have to alternate pick to keep up. Italso disciplins the RH at all speeds. Very nice.

  • Sweetness

  • Nice. Delay is by far my favorite effect.

  • Nice!

I figured this trick out by accident when playing around with my delay pedal (Marshall Echohead), gives a really nice effect.

  • very very nice! it's got a little classic feel

  • Cool stuff man. I posted a delay jam and they linked to yours as one to explore. Nice job!

  • I used the Vox AD50VT and the delay on the amp. It just has a knob, so I don't know how long it was in milliseconds. Be sure to have the volume of the "delayed sound" at 100%, other than that you can play around with the settings.

  • can me tell ur delay action???...means the parameter settings n all..thanx

  • Depends on what pedal you're using. I have a Marshall Echohead and usually use a digital delay setting (though analog or tape sounds good too), with a delay time of around 0.8 - 1 seconds.

  • i hv marshall echohead plus a boss delay

  • cathedral by EVH. sweet!
