@CaliforniaTravelTips That's cool I live close to Malmö. Malmö isnt that nice if you ever visit Sweden go to Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsingborg and perhaps Gällivare and/or Kiurna. Sweden is very different from USA though :)

@CaliforniaTravelTips Kalmar is pretty nice I'd say, been there just one time. Småland is a province. I live in Scania but work in Småland. In Småland there is not much to do really, the cool cities to visit would be Jönköping and Växjö in the Småland area. Jönköping is pretty nice though. Växjö is more a city for the students, alot of people go to the university in Växjö.

@xyzguy123 I recommend Newport and Laguna in Orange County; La Jolla and Pacific Beach in San Diego. Santa Monica and Venice are fun. Santa Cruz.... and then Big Sur is just beautiful. Also Monterey! I could go on and on....

@arsc311 I think it's a family beach. I've been going there since I was a kid. You're going to get the young goof-offs at most California beaches, but it's not that bad. I've never had any problems. For something more quiet, check out Newport Dunes or Balboa Pier.

@MegaLolburger lol Wales is cold and grey a lot of the time is it not? Although I've been to Wales and the Isle of Wight and the people there are very friendly, and i remember it being very green. (I'm in Australia). On the good side, you can always travel to tropical islands and hot-spots like Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef where the sun shines 300 days a year and the climate is always balmy (wear T-shirts in winter).

Our beloved Balboa Fun Zone...I hope the Nautical Museum doesn't change it too much! And I love The Pavillion!!! The staircase besides the entrance doors make me feel like I'm in the '20s just looking at them - The Pavillion has a great happy hour too. Gormet dishes for $4 each on weekdays. Dad and I like to go there once in a while because it's so great.

Newport is a very safe place to live. Great for bike riding too.

Hello. Sometimes So-Cal will have a nice warming trend in early November. A few years ago my husband took the kids down to Newport in early November and the weather was like a summer day without the crowds. If you have nice weather like that, enjoy a day on the beach. If the weather is going to be colder, there are many other places to check out.

@leec2878 I lived there for a summer, make sure you are there over the weekend, all the flash cars cruise the strip on friday/saturday night, take the ferry over to balboa and have a wander, be amazed at the houses, one of the nicest spots in the world I have been too.

I use to live in Newport Beach but I moved to Florida. At least I still have the beach. I miss it so much. The frozen chocolate banana at balboa island makes me want to cry. I use to have it all the time. Maybe I'll move there again in the future

hehe i was born in hoag hospital and have lived in newport my whole life. i go to newport harbor high school and that show "newport harbor" is so stupid haha it ticks me off. i know i take it for granted, but newport is a lot more than just the peninsula on this show. the best pizza place around is pizza petes and new york style pizza! go there if you ever come and visit!!
