After nys mandated that all health care professionals or those who will be working in a health facility receive mandatory flu shots, i got really angry with the government. They are also thinking about mandating H1N1. I feel very vulnerable to have to give in to something like this because i am goign into a profession i want to pursue.

It's not just random people this happens to. Generally, people who get these extreme side effects are within the so called "allergy-eczema-asthma triangle" where they experience many syptoms of these three ailments. I've had the flu. Its NOT THAT BAD. Its not worth THIS to avoid getting sick for a week or so. I've NEVER gotten a flu shot and have only had the flu once ever in 32 years. And it wasn't that bad. It wasnt fun, but it wasn't anything to lose sleep over. Not to mention that you WILL get sick if you get the flu shot as opposed to maybe sick if you do not. And lastly over medicating yourself and getting a shot for everything weakens your immune system. Its not natural.

i am a student who is going to be interning in a health facility. After nys mandated that all health care professionals or those who will be working in a health facility receive mandatory flu shots, i got really angry with the government. They are also thinking about mandating H1N1. I feel very vulnerable to have to give in to something like this because i am goign into a profession i want to pursue.

The report says she "got the flu 10 days later" and "they THINK" the vaccine was the cause. The vaccine is chopped up virus; you can't get the flu from it. Infection can cause dystonia; she could have gotten it from the flu virus, not from the vaccine.

I do understand the process. The flu vaccine is no more the flu virus than four wheels and a bucket seat could be called a "car". It's just enough chopped up virus particles to illicit an immune response.
It can only protect you from 2-3 strains, & there are hundreds of strains out there. You can get the vaccine & contract a different strain.
You need pathogen exposure to gain immunity; Vit. C, sunlight, & fruit don't contain flu, so they won't give you immunity. Pathophysiology!

It's not just random people this happens to. Generally, people who get these extreme side effects are within the so called "allergy-eczema-asthma triangle" where they experience many syptoms of these three ailments. Also, it's not just mercury that's bad for you in the shot; phenylephrine (or something like that) usually does much more damage than the mercury could.

I've had the flu. Its NOT THAT BAD. Its not worth THIS to avoid getting sick for a week or so. I've NEVER gotten a flu shot and have only had the flu once ever in 32 years. And it wasn't that bad. It wasnt fun, but it wasn't anything to lose sleep over. Not to mention that you WILL get sick if you get the flu shot as opposed to maybe sick if you do not. And lastly over medicating yourself and getting a shot for everything weakens your immune system. Its not natural.

There was just an episode on The Doctors of a former dancer with severe dystonia. There is a treatment if the person is a candidate. The treatment, deep brain stimulation, is expensive but is said to work very well. The hospital she visited was in Massachusetts, but I don't remember where exactly.

In the influenza vaccine is injected seasonal influenza vaccine containing three influenza viruses-one A (H3N2) virus, one regular seasonal A (H1N1) virus (not the 2009 H1N1 virus), and one B virus. That is THIS year's threat. Given the choice to have the shot, or not, is up to each individual but side effects are VERY rare, and death from the flu is not.
