It was stupid of the developers to give a character who already excels in speed in the first place even more speed in the first place.

This track is just fuckin epic. I love how track and music are representing the Super Mario Bros. underground levels.

You get in through a pipe, you can drive on blocks from SMB, there are blue goombas and pipes everywhere. MK7 is the most nostalgic Mario Kart ever.

@ii0Shmit0ii I personally like the idea of Metal Mario. He has been a serperate entity from Mario before like in Mario Golf, Dr.Mario 64 and Super Smash Bros. If Shadow Mario would have been included we would need Bowser Jr first. (No use having Shadow Mario without him). and Cosmic Mario had such a small role in Galaxy that it would just be unneccisary. (Kinda like the Honey Queen but somehow Nintendo thought that was a good move).

@ii0Shmit0ii I know, In Mario Golf TT he was seperate but theories say it was Il Piantissimo from Sunshine. At the end of sunshine it shows Piantissimo with the magic brush so it can be assumed he used it to become Shadow Mario. Then again this is just a theory, but it would still be weird playing as Shadow Mario if Bowser Jr. isn't involved.

Wiggler: Not my first choice but at least he's been around for years but hasn't been playable often.

Lakitu: He should stay in his cloud where he belongs. I believe this is his first time as a playable character.

Metal Mario: I like it. I know some people say he was uncreative but I see it as nostalgia for SM64. (Nintendo has been giving lots of N64 nostalgia latley and I LOVE it).

Honey Queen: She's been in 2 games. Just no...

Wiggler: sucks. Better as an obstacle.

Metal Mario: Why not just make a metal box in to an item? For a few seconds, your weight could increase, your top speed could increase, your acceleration could decrease, and you could be less effected by enemy items.

Honey Queen: Awful idea. The fact that she is playable, but not Waluigi or Dry Bones, sucks.

@SirSnivyofNottingham I do like your idea of a metal box item but it just seems like a waste of an item slot. It would be a star clone like the Mega Mushroom in MKWii. Also I don't think it's good that it would hurt your acceleration (Thats what I depend on) or any other stats. It could end up as the item the can kill you. (Like the freaking thunder cloud from MKWii) Despite what I said it is an interesting idea.

And Mario Kart Wii, in retrospect, was a horribly flawed game. Rubber-band AI and unbalanced odds (in a cpu's favour), ahoy! You get the thunder cloud, and the cpu in front of you gets a star.
