I don't know how much actual research you did, or if you only based it on the movie, but it's obvious you don't know the truth about Joan of Arc. We know what she was like based on answers in her trial. She said herself, for example "I NEVER KILLED A MAN." You should learn more about her before you come to conclusions.
There are plenty of other Joan of Arc movies out there that are more hostorically acurate. The Messenger (Luc Bessons) film was made to be a Action Movie for the cinemas and although I also got annoyed by the historical flaws I still enjoyed watching it.
THATS AWESOME! And Hollywood did portray Jean as kind of schizo. I was constantly pointing out mistakes to my dad...he told me to shut up. but in spite of all this I enjoyed the movie.
@LeClerc15 "Schizo" is a cultural concept (not a scientific, medical one). And as a matter of fact, today's culture would label the historical Joan of Arc "schizo", lock her up, and throw away the key.
WOO HOOOOO yeah too right!!!!!1 i saw this film in the cinema, waited for it for months..and walked out angry....very..very..very wrong dipiction..Ohhh..and no metion of her brothers?? and that no-one in history knows about what was said to Charles when Jehanne saw him in chinnon..And Luc, just made stuff up! shame on Luc.
well I would give you a A+ for an interesting video God bless crazy women...I must say that the movie was really well...different...and Joan looked really well Derranged
Joan in this movie, search to avenge the rape of her sister, and she interprete element what she lived like signes of God who justify her to make this. For Besson, Joan is just a woman handled by this own hatred. A french person can destroy any symbol of the Grande France, is just his point of view. In fact, this movis go more away than Joan of Arc, it's a questioning about religious fact.
I don't know if my english is good enough to tell my ideas, I hope.
Joan of arc is maybe one of best luc besson's film. It's certainely to good for you. The second part it's a real lesson of cinema with dustin hoffman who play God and the famous: "you see what you WANT to see". It's the same when you eat pop-corn when you watch this movie. And, it's not hollywood who says that but Besson. This movie is produced by French (Gaumont) and shoot in Normandie and Tchek Republic. Thanks.
Very nice!

It's not mistakes they've made, it's based on a true story, but they need to make a film more entertaining for the watchers.
