The Radio Times cover seen here is for 17-23 June 1978 - so it was probably made that year, not the year before.
Didn't know Monty Python's Ian Macnaughton had anything to do with it!
I can see what Applemask means. It shouldn't be surprising that Follow Me was eventually replaced by the American-led 'Hello'.
