  • nice butoh...

  • Raging mullet!

  • I saw them for their Ende Neu tour in Toronto and then again in '02... absolutely phenomenal shows! I wish I could have seen the 1981 concert!! Just amazing....

  • @FrauMotzkov You lucky bastard.

  • Hihi - if I remember the free concert in 1981 in an occupied factory in Bochum when the people fled from the hall (bec. the E.N. were still unknown) - they couldn't understand this music - power saws about steel bearer... and Blixa's shouts... Some a few, perhaps 20 people, nevertheless (I also) took thick metallic things still lying around in the factoryhall and "drummed" together with them! The factory lived again!

The avantgarde of the new "industrial culture" in the Ruhr-Area in Germany :o)

  • @FrauMotzkov Yeah I bet it confused a few people and they couldn't get their head round it. Einstürzende Neubauten is not pop that's for sure. Thanks for the story...

  • @FrauMotzkov Wow! I wish I was there. It sounded like a true piece of musical history that was made. I am sure the vibe was simply electric. I've been listening to EN since I was 18 back in !993.... One of the world's most important groups for sure!

  • @FrauMotzkov Oh you damn lucky! I wish I werw there, it is my favorite avangarde band ever...

Wait... When this was recorder, I hadn't born yet :( :okay:

  • I went to see them live back in the day. It was pretty hairy with the angle grinders and everything on stage.

  • @ThomasSheridanArts Yeah I bet it was. Haven't seen them live myself.
