  • just the right tempo, like Wilhelm Kempff....., the slower tempo sometimes have a 'sad' feeling to it?????

  • wonderfully!

  • i love this rendition. all of the others i've heard is a lot slower than this. but this is definitely my favorite. awesome job

  • too fast!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well tbh this is arouns about the same speed Wilhelm Kempff plays it so...........

  • This goes in my BEETHOVEN'S MOONLIGHT SONATA AS STERILE CONSERVATORY FARCE playlist....

  • it's scary with the breathing when u sit alone at home at night and listen to this ..

  • Magnifique, j'adore.

  • fabuleux

  • Romantisme is the expression of passion so it can be fast and hard is romantic too

Sadness is compatible with romantic of course because is a point of passion . About video not so bad , good i say (but at the beginning little hesitation ) Follow music's way ;)

  • Elvina love it

  • To be simpke :

Thank you so much... That is the most romantic music in the world...

  • is it romantic??, it looks sad for me

  • Thanks for all the comments. I'll have to have another go and fix the breathing.

  • ça déchire, ce morçeau à une surpuissance mélancolique un truc de malade

  • C'est vraiment trés beau !

  • What a marvelous performance. I just love the Moonlight Sonata. :)

Oh, and as for the aforementioned breathing, well... I didn't hear it. I listened to the music, and in doing so, tuned out anything else to disturb the tranquility. You guys should try it out sometime. It would do you some good. ^^

  • how can you not hear the breathing

de dun de *inhale of breath blocking out 2 or 3 notes* dun dun dun de

  • Well, I just don't pick it up. Maybe it's just you, or me, and maybe it isn't. I don't know, and it doesn't really matter to me either.

  • excelent

  • Best piece of songs on piano.

  • Wow! Well done! one of the best interpretations of the Moonlight sonata i've seen here on youtube. Excellent dynamics, and the tempo is fine, (imo moonlight sonata under 5:00 - 5:30 mins is played too fast *gg)

  • beautiful piece to play, one of the most serenading most tranquil sonata of all time i think... but i could have done without your heavy breathing... kinda messed up the mood of the song... instead it all sounded creepy than tranquil.

  • its incredibble.

i am learning to play the piano and it's the best thing in the world

  • Grats!.

  • It could Still be a bit slower... but well done

  • Finally someone that dosn't play it to fast!!! But the breathing is kinda creepy....

  • XxXSICLADYMISERYXxX,

Beethoven's tempo indications are very clear. It is in cut time. 90% of all pianists play this piece too slow. Google Schiff UK and you can listen to what this master has to say about tempo. Also, Listen to Murray Perahia play it. People must breath to live!LOL!

  • thank you for playing it how i like it! its the best

  • beatiful

  • Perfect.

  • what is with all the complaning he played better than any of us probably could and it's not very nica to critizize!!

  • Well... I should beg to differ on my part... I can play just as well... I was brought up as a pianist/violinist :|

  • me too. my name is Itzhak Perlman. JK. okay that was useless....

  • i agree completely! i at least couldnt play that well. it was greatand i dont see where people think its too fast- u guys r crazy

  • bit much breething need more bass

  • what's up with the breathing? so annoying.

  • Viciously Entertaining

  • That music was great it brings back such memories.

It reminds me of a prostitute i picked up in brixton early last year ,she only charged $45 for anal.

  • Wow, I've played piano for 5 years and wow, I can't play that song have as beautifully as him. This is one of my favorite songs ever, and this guy plays it perfectly.

  • You make Jill Valentine sound like an amatuer

  • Beautiful and played with so much feeling. Way to go!!

  • This is probably one of the most relaxing songs ever composed. I love it.

  • you played it great... ludwig van beethoven should be proud of you

  • wonderful

  • simply wonderful...

  • ok man there was some magic in that beautifull playing coz as soon as i heard i almost fell asleep and i went to my piano and played it myself. it was really good

  • It eventually grows on you: 4 out of 5

  • =( ....

  • flawless and graceful!

  • very nice

  • Beautiful! I can feel Beethoven's Pain.

  • amazing, and i agree. this is the best version i have found on youtube. truly beautiful

  • A honest and grave interpretation.

    very good.

  • Thank you my friend....u made my day....

  • Lovely playing, I had tears in my eyes!

  • Sehr Wunderbares speilen an der Klavier!! Or; wonderful playing on the piano!!

  • Thanks for posting all your videos! I am a big fan !

  • i think this is the best version on youtube.

  • Beautiful! I got to try harder to play this piece like you.

  • From Beethoven's heartbroken heart to our ears, a lovely sonata is written. I play this piece too, and depending on my mood, sometimes I play the melody differently. For me, that is the beauty of interpretation. I applauded you at the end. I loved it. Thank you for letting me find this video. You have a great New Year's!! Stay safe.

  • your breathing is heavy.. i can hear it on the video..

  • Needs to be a diminuendo at the end. And also a ritardando at the end.

  • lovely, you know what book is good to read while playing this peice? Edgar Allen Poe, the tone is beautiful love it, im one to love and cherish classic paino, this song gets me all the time

  • i must say, that you have really captured the essence of this piece. its such a wonderfully beautiful and tragic song. Beethoven wrote this for a woman he fell in love with, unfortunately, she left him. This is such a respectable piece

  • Great... Good tempo... And tempo is one of most iportant thing in this song...

  • better than the other one i heard played by someone else

  • Not enough sound on the bass -.-

  • i think the left hand is supposed to be soft as the right hand carries the melody

  • I think the left hand should be a bit louder and the pinky on the right hand carriest the melody.

  • Great Job.. I like this song

  • One word: AWESOME!!!!

  • I have one word.. Lovely...

  • Well done, i've also heard a few performances of this piece on here and i think this one is the best.

  • bravo... :)

  • That's amazing!! You have immense talent.

  • bravo... this song always makes me cry...

  • Very well played bud!!

  • Very good. A few rough spots, but that's not an easy piece.

  • Your technique is better than mine, fingering-wise. But lack of wrist movement sometimes breaks your legato. Try moving your wrists way more than you think you need to for a few days. You might discover a new capability.

  • beautiful, wonderful, emotive -wanted to run out and buy the sheet music...

  • Well done. I've heard a couple of youtube Beethoven Moonlights and this one is one of the best. Good luck to all those starting piano. I know that of the 9 years I've played, the experience is indescripable... so wonderful when you fulfill that inner desire!! har har!

  • beautiful. I'm about to start learning it... wish me luck... i havent had lessons haha!

  • bravoooo !!!!

  • woooooooooooo i love this song...play it a lil bit louder in the beginning

  • Fantastic. The slower the better, and you hit the nail on the head!

  • magaling din

  • well done, best ive seen played on this site so far,in my opinion,

  • I absolutely love this song.

    And you played it amazingly.

I can never take my eyes off the hands of a pianist as he plays!

  • wow... that was beautiful....

good work.. that made me hella calm i heart that song

  • Very nicely done...

  • very sorrowful indeed, u have talents. You video is the only one that caught my attention. I play moonlight sonata too, and had the same mistake u had, fingers not strong enough. But i believe u were kind of nervous while playing it in front of the camera. Very nice job!

  • this is probly the best played version on here... my version is played more or less the same way if not the same... except i couldnt fit the whole thing onto my camera... ill post the full version of mine up later. but anyway this is my fav. version on this site.. it has emotion and feeling.

  • wow. you're fantastic.

  • finaly this is how its supposed to go,r one of the best one i heard!!

  • Niiiiice....

  • i luved this classic music moonlight sonata...it is so soothe and just sad.

  • Thankyou, calmed me down wonderfully.

  • oh well you rock..!!

  • I agree, you played this extremely well =)

  • you breathe rather heavily. it takes away from the piece, although it is the best utube version so far. good job.

  • perhaps the single most beautiful piano piece ever composed. i'd like to hear the rest.

  • Best Playing I've seen here so far.

Thats what it 'aposed to sound like. ^_^<3

  • Ah, but check this guy!

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=mUdh6LFyZ6Y&search=Beethoven%20piano%20sonatas

I will be posting this piece soon and giving him a run for his money. Not trying to sound conceded just confident.

    http://youtube.com/profile?user=LVB1770

  • amazing........:)

  • great emotion~

  • nice playin

  • better then mine =[ lol veryyy good

  • I guess this is the biggest hit on YouTube. I don't know why, I find it quite uninteresting as a standalone piece, I guess because it's overplayed. But you did a good job. I guess some of the piansts on YouTube could use a role model.

  • Thank you for the comment on my video on my cousin's account.

You played the song very well.

&I can play without music because I can't read it anyway. Haha. I've been playing for 2 years and I still can't get it down.
