this is totally amazing. im new here and want to ask a question. Does anyone know how u can edit music into the background of a video? back to the actual trailer. It is amazing. It is awesome. It is indescribable!!!
@jessieboss100 Well to put your own sound/song into the video itself you need a video editor program like Adobe Premiere Pro or Windows movie maker, that's the most direct and easy way to do it. And ty for the comments ^^
Funny thing is how I was just listening to this music not an hour before seeing this. Sorry I haven't commented or watched this earlier, but I do have a question. Does Premiere Pro have preview acceleration to take advantage of *that* hardware of yours? Does it transcode the videos prior to editing? You already know that I use Sony Vegas most of the time, but for something "calm" like this I'd probably use Avid- mainly for the full screen 100% playback qualities minus unrendered effects/filters.
@Cyraside If by prior transcoding you mean have a preview window with the quality controls similar to Sony Vegas than yes. Unfortunately Premiere Pro Cs5 only puts my Phenom II X6 1090t to work, my video cards don't provide GPU acceleration only select Nvidia :/ and I have dual ATI 5770s. The playback is much smoother in Premiere Pro than in Sony Vegas due to the mercury engine in it. I find Premiere Pro a bit more fitting for slow trailers like this, I had to use Sony Vegas on the Johns Walk 1
@Sindorai I hear ya on that. Different applications almost appear aimed at not only different editing styles but projects as well. It's hard for me to imagine editing the "John's Walk" version on Avid or something similar to Premiere Pro. At the same time I couldn't imagine editing a short film (or really any lengthy HD camera footage) in Vegas either. Nice picture quality in the video- did you need to color correct and adjust the saturation of the video- or did it turn out that way without it?
@Cyraside This is when I was too timid to do any fx, adjusting, or changing, it's just the unedited raw footage from my files. I usually like to have unedited footage unless the music or pace calls for it
@Sindorai Agreed. This looks amazing and the editing style used for something like this works out great. Sometimes no tinkering or effects are required. :)
