Yes the smoke can harm the lungs, but nowhere near the same degree as cigarettes.
And as far as the last part of your statement, every single one of those side affects you listed can be found in drinkers and those abusing medication. yet they are still legal. Marijuana is not even remotely as harmful as the poison the pharmaceutical companies are so eager to sell us.

Gud vids, 5 stars. I think in the end the government is the secondary enemy next to the capitalist, and that's where our attention should be focused. If it wasn't for "profit over people" then hemp would be more available. The war on hemp is a prime example of how govt.s act soley in the interest of the monied class.
So long as the current system pervails I doubt much will change, but atleast we're no longer fighting shadows.

With Hemp lots of money can even be made, and people should have the right to make money on hemp and do with it what they want, they will then have freedom. Sorry but Capitalism can not exist without profit. Name a successful business venture that hasn't made or doesn't make money.
One major flaw in the system is wealth concentration. The more money you have the bigger the returns. This is has been a more important factor in creating monopolies, and again an inherent part of the system itself

Of course all business should profit, thats my point. Profit is also ok. Monopolies are not. For example, the US has monopoly laws to break up companies that are too large, and more important, that put their feet or hands in the pockets of multiple businesses. A great example is AT&T, it was broke up and the monopoly laws created because they had control over local and long distance, this was unfair to other companies. Now days AT&T does EVERYTHING including internet, its a monopoly and illegal

There are laws that prevent monopolies from existing, and there are laws that protect individual companies so that they can make as much money as they like. If the free market and capitalism was allowed to work, there would be competition and prices would naturally stay low. When a monopoly arises, its the government duty to break it up into sub companies so there is fair competition between many providers. This is the step that is no longer followed. Even the Constitution seems void now days..

The reason why I commented on the capitalism comment is because the same people who try to convince us its for our own good that we keep marijuana illegal, also claim that capitalism is wrong and we should work towards socialism so we dont have this corruption. The truth is, the existing system worked for well over 100 years without these newer corporate problems, the government has been infiltrated by corporate interests and now they pretend to have our interest at heart as they raise taxes.
