The guys triangle is wrong. I have to say the stack, knee to the shoulder pass like that doesn't work for me and my new instructor totally advises against doing this. However, my 1st instructor cld do this pass to anyone in class and nobody could stop him. I want to post my favorite triangle escape to truck. Its killer! keep ur eye open for it!
No offense but this is very poor technique. You are baiting the pass by getting caught on a triangle. You are fighting the power of the legs with the strength of your arms- you're not even stacking him. Good luck with it. Come to the Gracie Academy and try your move on anyone blue belt and up and see what happpens.
@fita202 you wrote "You are fighting the power of the legs with the strength of your arms". No, that's incorrect. You're fighting the power of the your opponent's knee joint with the leverage of your hips with this technique.
Hotora86, I don't mean to be rude but if you think anything BM posts concerning MMA, boxing or wrestling is "Good Stuff" then you are sadly mistaken. Most of what he posts are things he made up or, in the case of his video on wrapping hands, things he copied from me and just filled in the things he didnt know with guesses. there are plenty of good videos out there for real info. Look some up and compare.
Hey, I'm not his student or fan, I just know that the guy is smart, insightful and reasonably experienced. I take his grappling advice with a grain of salt since he has little BJJ credentials and I watch multiple other instructional vids, compare, try stuff in class and find things that work for me.
Anyway, balletman is a great guy, friendly and funny AND he's trained multiple martial arts and he fights in MMA so I guess I can listen to what he has to say. If you don't like it - don't watch it.
So I copied my video about wrapping hands from you huh? How is that possible? Because (A) You have no videos (B) You whined and complained for three pages about how "wrong" that video was.
Bryce, are you saying that you now approve of my "totally wrong and dangerous" hand wrapping method? And are you also taking credit for that "totally wrong and dangerous" method that you yourself said was no good?
Bryce, as much as I admire your dizzying intellect, I must ask: do you have an explanation for this logic of yours?
worse than any other escape. You should spend more time learning what does, and doesn't, work instead of pretending to be an authority on a subject. Please stop posting videos on things like this. You are going to get someone hurt.
I respectfully disagree with everything you have just said. I have spent years learning what works and what does not work. This works. It works well. And it works better than any other triangle escape I have ever seen. I chose to demonstrate this sequence because it's not commonly taught but should be.
This is easier and more practical than any other escape I've tried, plus it also puts you in a superior position. If you have a real rebuttal and can support your argument, I'd like to hear it.

What are you going to do in China? How long will you stay? How did you come up with this idea of moving?
