how do you put videos on the ipaq and what file format like mpeg of mp3 you know and when you download something like a game with a format for ipaq when i try to open it it says " it is not a valid pocket pc application. do i have to install it using a programe or something? please reply

Used this machine every day for 2 years - never a problem - ultra reliable....discontinued now..wahh

Could do with D-pad for games though...hard to play ninetindo emulator with no buttons

wmTorrent works but you have to change date back a year...to use for free

Ok, they sell for about £100 now in the UK. You can probably get one for less than that on ebay. They use normal size SD cards. I used a 2 gig card in mine but I do not know what the maximum is.

I'm interested in your version of the Ipaq. I'd like to use it with Skype. Does it run Skype well? Do you need to plug a seperate microphone in or can you use it like a normal phone?

Yes, Tom Tom worked fine. Although for some reason it did not like working in landscape mode, only portrait, but that might have just been something I did. Otherwise, it was fine. I used it with a sirf star III bluetooth GPS receiver which worked very well indeed.

GPS satellite signal reception is free. But of course you will need to buy a receiver and GPS software such as Tom Tom.

is web surfing fast on this device? anyway to view flash or java or other web applications

On a WLAN/WiFi connection it is very fast as it uses 802.11g. Via a mobile phone connected by bluetooth it is ok, but GPRS is not overly fast. Do not know about flah or Java. WM6 supports Java and there may be applications for WM5, but not something I have looked at.

I think youtube have a pda website, but it is very limited in what you can watch at the moment.

I think they are chalk and cheese, no comparison as they are really doing different things. This is not a phone for starters and has no camera. It is a cross between entertainement and productivity. The iPhone is very much aimed, in my view, at being a fun item with a focus on music and video and of course a fabulous touch screen interface. I suggest you do a Youtube search for iPhone reviews, there are lots out there, and you will see what I mean.
