  • I love how Paulie's just waiting for the wine. :-D

  • What a soundtrack...the only problem is the actual CD they released didnt have enough songs

  • Too many onions? Fuck these guys.

  • These guys living like kings while Jimmy Conway (Robert Deniro) was doing real time in ATL being a lone unafiliated Irish guy in the joint, sharpening toothbrushes into shanks and slicing guys faces with razor blades to avoid sexual enslavement.

  • hahaha i got a blue robe just like Paulie. just the expensive food and money missing then i can live like him

  • living better than me lol

  • The guy doing the tomato sauce was Martin Scorsese's dad, hehe.

His mother was also in the movie, having the role of Tommy's mom.

  • I just ate pizza 20 mins ago and watching this scene has made me hungry again lol weird.

  • idk why this is such a great scene

  • this still happens in mexico

  • @BEARARMZ except all the prostitutes do the cooking...

  • Bobby Darin...i remember back in the day when i was a child and i used to idealise the "wise-guys" lifestyle along with my cousins every time we watched this film all together...don't get me wrong, but i certainly miss those days and that weird sense of naivness...

  • Could anyone tell me the song that's playing in the background of this scene?

  • @sxdxdb2 Beyond the sea, bobby darin

  • @matthewtuckey

    thanks bro

  • Ohh.. that's the flavor

  • Hahaha wow...these guys were living the life..they didn't give a fuck if they got locked up cause they'd knew they'd live like this in prison..but in the end..well you know what happens

  • This isn't prison, it's a hotel with 5 star cuisine.

  • I always have to make sauce whenever I watch this.

  • Paul Sorvino was the man!

  • This scene always makes me hungry

  • I don't shine shoes anymore

  • @APviKINGsz28 seven people dont know you dont shine shoes anymore

  • I'm eating a medium rare steak right now. Guess i'm an aristocrat

  • "Don't put to many onions in the sause!"

  • Don't put too many onions in the sauce!

I used to work in a pizzeria and my boss/sub boss would always tell me that because of this scene whenever we made the sauce XDDD

  • Best line in the movie, "Johnny Dio did the meat".

  • holy shit im so hungry now

  • When people realize, they respect Italians mobsters, it's not because they are criminals. It's because they hold family values, and have the discipline to keep families together. It's a shame the American cinema makes it look like the Italians get it from the mobsters.

  • Gangsta Meal Time

  • "Vinnie" is actually Martin Scorsese's father, Charlie Scorsese!

  • @432ps1 Yeah that's so cool. Ya Pappa plays an Ol' time Mafiso complaining about how "good the ol' days were" Back in the 1930's or 1940s or whatever.

  • I could eat an entire buffet to the point where my stomach will explode and this scene will still make me hungry.

  • This scene makes me wanna jump into this movie and get into prison with them

  • Don't put many onions in the sauce!

  • every time i see this movie i wanna eat Italian food!!

  • i didnt realize they were in prison it dont look like prison

  • Man, Sorveno bares an insanely striking resemblance to another actor named Niall MacGinnis!

  • "Medium rare? Hmm, an aristocrat."

    lol

  • @futurebestseller84 "Got some red wine..."

    "Good, now we can eat"

    ".... and some white."

    "Gimme' the white to."

    lol

  • @futurebestseller84 yeah, dio sounded like shemp howard there ;p

  • now all there missing is the best part in life Pussy aka sorca lol.

  • it wasnt like that for John Gotti, he was in a hardcore prison, why was John Gotti in San Quentin? so he wouldnt have any connects?

  • these films are so stereotypical at times, do u really think Italian Americans eat Spaghetti all the time??

  • @JadaBlaze01 lol My family does. Some days, I'll tell my dad I'm hungry and he'll say, "I don't feel like cooking tonight. There's always leftover spaghetti in the fridge." Seriously, my dad takes spaghetti in his lunch and eats it at work cold. lol Do not underestimate our love for that saucy noodly dish. haha :)

  • @SavingSmilesForYou well u are just one in a million I would say most Italian american families dont eat pasta all the time

  • @JadaBlaze01

It's more true than you think. Perhaps not spaghetti all the time but different pastas. A lot of Italian families, even ones in America, still take after old country habits. My dad's Italian co-workers almost always ate a pasta dish for dinner followed by steak and wine. That's why I laughed when I saw this scene in Goodfellas because it's all so true.

  • @bordertown so true bro..my dad is italian he makes the best dam pasta..alfredo sauce ..and etc

  • Italians Rule thats the bottom line!

  • ooh no gross is paul sorvino behind me

  • This is actually one of my best scenes in the entire movie (rest of the film is glorious too) but I totally agree with Erosensai.

  • i cant believe the now-a-days gangsters can actually put there selves on the mafias ranks.

it used to be if you saw a gangster you showed him respect and he showed you respect, now if you see a gangster hes yelling obsenitese at you and saying "recognize!" over and over.

  • pauly's wearing top coat i think (:

  • medium rare an aristocrat my favorite line

  • The guidos from Jersey Shore? They would either be muscle for the bosses or enforcers because that Italian has never left them no matter how much styling they've done or how much fistpumping they've done

  • gangsters by me eat mcdonalds, no class

  • man i wanna eat some nice pasta

  • I have the same tracksuit Ray Liotta is wearing. xD

  • Vinnie, the guy who puts too many onions in the sauce, is Martin Scorsese's dad.

  • @thenore316 cool..i didnt know that

  • @thenore316 See when they kill Billy Batts and they go to Tommy,s ( Joe Pescis ) mums house ...that is Martine Scorceses Mum in real life, she was in Casino too.

  • @SaorAlbaComingSoon mum mum mum mum mum mum mum

  • @StupidFuckingTrolls Are you feeling ok?

  • @SaorAlbaComingSoon Saor Alba is coming soon. Just thought I'd tell ya.

  • @Aasmund01 Damn Right !!!

  • @SaorAlbaComingSoon Interesting facts are interesting.

  • @thenore316

    too MUCH onions.

  • @thenore316 right. three onions in sauce made with two cans of tomatoes is too many. one medium onion and four crushed cloves of garlic for every four cans of tomato sauce and two cans of tomato paste, is perfect gravy. then add your parsley, basil, dash of oregono, some salt and a table spoon of sugar (to cut the acidity). i then put in fried meatballs, pan-seared braciole and cooked pork chop bones for flavor...but you gotta add the pork..ahhh, that's, that's the flavor ;p

  • what, are u stupid???? what did I tell you!!! what did I tell you. you being a wiseass with me?? I said dont buy anything. what am I getting excited about??? theres a thousand bulls out there, you're gonna get us all pinched!!!! dont buy your wife cadillacs!! dont buy her a 24k gold dildo!!!!!!!! dont buy anything!!!!!!!!!! ......I know something's happened!!!! • three kinds of meat in the sauce: beef, veal and pork. you gotta have the pork. thats the flavor. I didnt use too many onions ...uh ...paul. ....bring the white too. okay, now we eat. ....tomorrow we eat sandwiches. we gotta go on a diet. .... ....Im not talking about what you did on the inside. you did what you had to do. Im talking about now. ...just dont do it. ....70 years old. he's gonna die in prison cause he said hello to somebody selling junk behind his back

  • To bad Paulie didn't take that razor to Hill right then.

  • @Grantislife23 hehehe

  • therefore, it`s a reallistic film. actually it`s happening here in mexico...

  • I want to try to replicate that tomato sauce, too many onions and all.....*slobber*

  • 7 people burned their garlic.

  • 2:18 Paulie calls Johnny Dio "Freddie"

  • @sidewinder2132 He says "Ey, Vinnie."

  • If jail was this pleasant no one would fear going there. This definitely isn't the case anymore.

  • Does anybody ever notice that when Karen sees Henry in prison and she's walking by all those people to get to Henry, some guy is getting a blow job?

  • @nellgwen48 Ha ha. Yeah, I've always noticed that. I would think to myself, "What the...?"

  • @ghosthunter2010100 I didn't catch that at first but since I discovered it I can't miss it.

  • nice food. i would enrole myself in prison if it was like this

  • A real italians no the jersey shore shit

  • this scene is a classic

  • this scene make me hungry

  • f*ck my shitty apartment

  • 7 people will not have dinner

  • isnt this the bioshock trailer song? a beautiful song ;)

  • 7 people put too many onions in the sauce.

  • @Scarface8655 but it's still a very good sauce ;)

  • @Canadaquisha But when Paulie tells ya don't put too many onions in the sauce...Don't Put Too Many Onions in the Sauce lol.

  • Vinny reminds me of my grandfather, and Henry reminds me of my uncle. True Italians.

  • hmmm medium rare? an aristocrate LMAO

  • I SAID WE MAY NEED TO BRING OUR FRIEND IN FROM YONKERS!!!!

  • Paulie:- "Tomorrow we eat sandwiches.. gotta go on a diet". == haha!

  • My Nonno, Uncle Pat and Uncle GG (Gaetano)........brings back great times.

  • This scene makes me hungry.

  • awwwwww dats dats the flava

  • This scene just shows you how amazing some people get it in prison nice tasty steak dinners with the best garlic ever, while other people are screamed at and lose sleep because they have to be on alert 24/7 to prevent getting raped.

    Disgraceful either way.

  • they eat better than most people outside

  • fuckin wops, always makin italian food

  • 0:36 Charles Scorsese, the director's father.

  • Interesting how Scorcese used Bobby Darin singing "Beyond The Sea" for the background music. You'd think that song would be out of place for this scene, but it works. Scorcese is an artist.

  • @ghostrepublic Yeah, Scorsese has a knack for using classic songs in the most unlikely situtations.

  • classy fucking fellas man all eating dinner together

    greatest mob flickr

  • first time I had spaghetti with rib eye, MEDIUM RARE, I felt fucking like one of the wise guys..

  • @1greatdude lol When I first read your comment I thought you said, "I felt like fucking one of the wise guys."

  • "How do you want your steak?"

    "Rare. Medium rare."

    "Medium rare? Hmmm, an aristocrat..."

  • Wish I had some veal parmesan right now

  • thumps up if this scene makes you hungry

  • @nemysisNED Any scene involving food in the Sopranos, Goodfellas etc always makes me hungry! Italian Cuisine just looks so tasty! :)

  • @nemysisNED GARLIC!

  • @nemysisNED GARLIC! A lot of the film makes me hungry!

  • "NOW we can eat."

  • @Lakersfan909 , me and you will take a nice relaxing vacation to prison just like them goodfellas

  • @LakersFan909 , me an

  • Fuck can I go to prison?!

  • its a shame people like this arent around anymore. they would be taking care of these jersey shore clown fucken guidos.

  • @erosensai people like this...you mean psychopathic murderers and criminals that cost society millions of dollars and complicated the shit out of life for the rest of us? Yeah, its a shame they really aren't around anymore.

  • @xxaimpiratexx actually in case you didnt know, the mafia arent psychopathic murderers they are business men and in fact if there were psychopathic murderers or rapists or child molesters in the neighborhood they used to whack them.

  • @erosensai Here! Here! The mafia did to those psychopathic murderers, rapists, child molestors in the neighborhood what the Police could not.

  • @erosensai Yeah because "Whacking" anyone you chose against the law wasn't psychopathic or criminal at all.

  • @erosensai you just said it. if there was a t-shirt that had that comment, i'd buy it!

  • @sowavyowww hahah;p

  • @erosensai Actually, the mob would employ those jersey shore guidos to do low level work

  • @erosensai Wow, I thought I was the only one who though that. All these Latino cunts, Nigger wanna be Gangsters, and yeah those fucking Guidos. The Mafia control this mess. Back in Montreal where I lived I remember the mafia neighborhood close to mine, whenever I went there there was NO Nigger pricks and NO Guidos none of that shit.

  • @The0rangePanda haha yup i live in montreal rofl, i live in parc ex heheheh

  • @erosensai Agree 100%!

  • @erosensai I am an Italian Canadian. We still have those people up here. Men of respect in Hamilton Toronto and Montreal. Those jersey shore punks make me sick. My son told me he watched jersey shore a few times and I almost smacked him out. They are 5th or sixth generation Italians. They dont know what being Italian means. Anyway I agree with you.

  • One of my favorite scenes. I tried that garlic system that Paulie does and it works like a charm. Of course its not an everyday thing because you would need a great deal of prep time.

  • @goukimess What did you do to get it to work? I tried it as well, but it did not work for me.

  • "medium rairr.. an aristocrat" lol

  • I've seen this movie a thousand times and this scene ALWAYS makes me hungry.

  • Has anyone actually tried doing that garlic thing that Paulie does with the razor?

  • @filmcruiser88 yes it is, and Tommy's mother in Goodfellas is Martin Scorsese's mother.

  • I think Vinnie the sauce guy is Scorseses dad. When you first see his face in this scene you can see the resemblance...

  • The food in english prison is fucking awful, i wished we could of brought in and cooked in our own food. the halal menu was better then the normal menu, but it was still terrible. a hungry prison is an angry prison.

  • @MrBudgieman1 Well..... considering prison is supposed to be punishment, I kind of have little sympothy for your predicament.

  • They eat better in solitary then I do in freedom.

  • Comment removed

  • Bloody starving now!!!

  • Dont put too many onions in the sauce...

  • Anyone else think The Donbot from Futurama sounds like Paulie?

  • @rikusoraleon You're probably the only one who watches that horrible show.

  • Whats the purpose of a razor blade in a prison? Cracking the door of your cell? NOT! Use it to slice garlic!

  • "Don't put too many onions in the sauce."

  • Does anyone know the significance of the blue bathrobe in this movie? We see it 3 times: Paulie in prison, Jimmy at his house (when Henry tries to sell him guns) and the very last scene with Henry in his new home. Any thoughts?

  • @pwrofrob I am going out on a limb here, but I would say he might just like his bathrobe.
